Top notch contractor and crew. I could not be more pleased. Jeff is experienced, professional, and wonderful to work with. Believe me, he knows decks. And his is crew were fantastic. They take great pride in the quality of their workmanship. They offered recommendations when questions arose. They took with them all the packaging and debris. They cleaned up the yard spotless. And then they washed down the deck before they left. I am so pleased I already chose Jeff for some new project work.

Jeff and his crew were great! I really can't say enough good things about them. They were all very professional, hardworking and pleasant (even in this awful heat!). Jeff came out promptly to give us an estimate. He started our deck as soon as we accepted the estimate. The work was excellent, done timely and the deck looks beautiful. His staff was very precise about their work and corrected several issues with the existing supports. I would highly recommend Jeff.

He was professional, explained the repair process to us, gave us a detailed estimate, and once we agreed to have the work done, he was able to do the job in a timely manner. Jeff kept me informed of the progress and took pictures along the way. The work was being done at my shore house, so i wasn't on site to see the progress. He was communicative and very flexible with weather concerns. After he was done - the results were beautiful and he had cleaned up everything! We received Jeff's name/number from a family member who had Bowen Contracting put in a new deck at his house. After seeing how perfect his deck came out, we called Jeff Bowen the next morning. Jeff came out later that day to give us an estimate. My wife and I were sold almost immediately. Jeff answered ALL of our questions (and we had a lot) with an expertise and confidence that was reassuring and welcomed. He was patient and thorough in describing the entire process and timeline. He even offered assistance with some contracting knowledge on a DIY project I was working on in my house at the time. We told him what we had in mind, and he guided us in a direction that worked not only for us and our budget, but also what would look best with our house and yard space. He kept us in the loop through the entire process, answered all our emails/texts in a timely fashion, and never tried to keep anything hidden. If it was not for the many days of rain we had during the building stages, the deck would have been finished in under a week for sure. I was lucky enough to be home in the final two days of their work on the deck. It was a delight not only to meet and talk to his men, but also see them work. They are a genuine small town business with truly classy employees willing to share a word or two, helping you feel comfortable with the fact that they are treating your home like their own and better. They are a well-oiled machine for sure. The precise manner in which they work and the product they offer is second to none. Every cut is perfect. Every screw hole in perfect line and spacing from the next. And beyond that, the hour or more they spent cleaning the deck and the surrounding yard space before they left shows how much they care. They cleaned EVERY spindle top to bottom, mopped and hosed down the deck, and cleaned the grass of every screw, wood chip, etc. They really take GREAT PRIDE in what they do, and it shows in how they work, how they carry themselves, and how they interact with customers. We are truly grateful to have hired Bowen Contracting and have shared his card with ALL of our neighbors--one of whom has already hired him for their own deck. We would like to finish our basement in the near future, and Jeff Bowen and Bowen Contracting Inc. will surely be our first call. We are eternally grateful for their expertise, stress free contract/service, and unparalleled pride they have in what they do.

The insurance company would not agree to the price

From the initial quote, even with the hassle of living in a strict development that I needed to provide schematics and survey of property. Jeff was very professional and quick response to hit the timeline and budget. Even though I thought that this job was too big of a project for me to even think about, Jeff was always there ready to give me input. I am glad that I hired Bowen contracting and I would highly recommend them to anyone I know. I already have a finished basement in the spring I am looking to have him install.

Jeff was prompt in getting back to me to set up a meeting for the estimate, and he came out a few days later. He got back to me soon with a quote, which was substantially lower than two other quotes I got from Angie's List contractors (only one of which actually came out to meet with me and hear what I wanted). I took care of getting the required permits and Jeff's crew started within a couple of days of getting them. We were under a time-crunch as we were leaving for vacation on June 26th. Jeff told me at the beginning that the job would take 3 days. This was critical due to the delays by the township in getting the permits approved and doing inspections. By the time we got the permits, Jeff had 4 days to get the work done. Luckily the weather cooperated and we got to have a cup of coffee on the new deck the morning we left for vacation. Regarding the quality of the work, it was better than I thought it would be. This is not to say that I thought his crew would do a bad job. It's that after seeing the finished product, it was much better than the deck we had previously...so we were very satisfied. It came out just a we had envisioned. The crew was prompt every day they were onsite, and we barely knew they were there when they were working. They cleaned everything up--I don't think we found a stray nail or piece of wood anywhere. Overall, we were very satisfied with the entire project and recommend Jeff to anyone looking for a quality job at a fair price. I only gave a "fair" rating for "Responsiveness" because it would sometimes take a couple of days for Jeff to get back to me before the work began. Since this was our first time working with Jeff, and we were working on a deadline (vacation), this was a little concerning at the time. However, once the work started, all was great.

Dealt direct with Jeff Bowen, and it was a pleasure. Throughout the process it was about 3-4 months from first consultation until finish date. Some delays on my side with getting info back, as well as permits for the township and just being busy time of year. Overall Jeff was reasonable to deal with, and the work that was done once started was done fast, and for a very competitive price. I knew what i wanted going in, there wasn't any up-sale, just professional service, timely responses and a great outcome. My wife and I are very happy. I would 100% recommend to anyone looking to build a deck (pressure treated or composite wood).

Jeff is a good guy who really listened to what I wanted done for my project. The people who work with Jeff were very professional and were very good at what they do. Jeff's schedule is packed and sometimes schedules can get extended, but it's worth being patient. My basement is exactly what I wanted it to be and I am very happy with. I highly recommend Jeff for any future project.

Jeff and team did a great job on our new deck. They tore down our existing deck and replaced it with a fantastic new deck. Jeff and crew were very knowledgeable and courteous. The price was very reasonable and completed in minimal time. I highly recommend them and would have them do work again for me in the future.

Bowen Contracting did an outstanding job. Very professional. Worked from early morning until late afternoon right before dinner with just a short break for lunch. Cleaned up at the end of each day and left no mess. If there were any questions they would ask you and not just make a decision on their own. Very satisfied and excellent work. Excellent, beyond reproach. All work completed as discussed with contractor (Jeff Bowen). Workers arrived when they were scheduled, property completely clean when they left. Questions succinctly answered by contractors and workers. Door installation was the best I've ever seen for a slider. No complaints! Will provide pics when stained (Spring '19).

We did extensive research into local contractors to add a sunroom onto the back of our home. After getting numerous proposals we decided on Jeff based on recommendations, his obvious knowledge, and price. To say we were pleased with the result would be a massive understatement. Jeff and his crew were not only professional but very personable and a pleasure to have around. They kept things as clean as humanly possible and kept us informed at just about every step of the process. There were practically no issues at all and when one did crop up that required a change (we needed to swap a window and door for a sliding glass door) we didn't get nickel and dimed. It just got done. From start to finish was about 6 weeks and that included some brutally hot weather and very heavy rain. The outside matches the existing house perfectly and Jeff was very helpful in picking out interior finishing material for us. Would we use Jeff again? In a heartbeat.
