Please see my separate review on his construction of a new support beam to allow for the opening up of the wall between the two rooms. Our kitchen and dining room renovation was the largest project we had Pete complete at our new house. Having a large space and not knowing exactly what we wanted or how to lay it out, Pete set us up with a kitchen designer he had used on many of his projects. I highly recommend using a designer for a project of this magnitude. The ?getting to know you? and actual designing portion of our interaction with the designer went very well, however, I felt that the process of ordering the cabinets took longer than expected and delayed the project timeline. Over the course of the project, we had electricians, plumbers, and contractors working in our kitchen. All of the guys did great work, and our cabinets were installed with attention to detail I would not necessarily have gotten else. While there were roadblocks and minor issues along the way, as there would be with any major renovation, Pete was quick to return any and all phone calls to make sure we were happy and that all of our questions were answered. On occasion, he would even come over to make sure he understood exactly where our concerns were and within hours he would have a plan and course of action to fix things.

We had Pete move our washer and dryer from a first floor closet to the 2nd floor master closet. Not sure we wanted to take this project on at first, we added it a couple weeks into our time with Pete. Without issue, he put his guys on it and set up the appropriate crew members to get the task done. Obviously with a project of this nature, much plumbing and electrical work needed to be done, but Pete scheduled his guys to work around one another to get the job done as soon as possible. We now have laundry right inside our closet and don’t have to walk up and down flights of stairs to get it done!

After having an HVAC system installed, we required some walls to be built on our 3rd floor to create a sort of “attic” enclosure for the handler unit. Because of many factors, including the location of the stairs and a skylight in relation to where the walls were to be built, as well as dormer ceilings, we were very skeptical that a full sized door would be able to be installed. Pete took one look at the area and instantly had an idea. We now have the perfect finished 3rd floor, complete with an attic area. With Pete’s brainpower, the skylight was able to remain in the main area of the room (not walled into the attic area) and we also have a full sized door into the enclosed space. It also looks a lot nicer than I could have imagined.

When we moved into the house, there were sliding doors out onto the back deck that barely opened. Not wanting to fight every time we wanted to go onto the deck, and for aesthetic reasons, we decided to replace them with French doors. Pete had a couple of his guys take out and replace the sliding door with the French doors he had ordered for us. While replacing the sliders, the guys found a good amount of rot and water damage to the side of the house. They took the time to make sure they got all of the rot and find the cause of it before putting the door back on. After resealing and installing some new siding, they completed the project with A+ quality and craftsmanship.

We hired Pete and his crew for a kitchen and dining room renovation makeover. In order to get the open concept we were looking for, there was a wall that needed to be opened up. It was just our luck that it was a supporting wall and this process would be a little more complex than we had originally thought. Once again, Pete came to the rescue. Through lots of math, he designed a beam that would support the weight of the house, but also allow for the open concept layout we were hoping for. The installation of the beam was completed in 3 parts to ensure that the structure of the house was not jeopardized while the old beam was replaced with the new beam. Pete was very thorough in his explanation of the process and why things were designed and done the way he planned. He always checked to make sure we had no questions and were comfortable with the process and why he was doing it that way. Never did I feel as though I couldn’t ask Pete a question, and he was very communicative throughout the whole process.

We bought the house and just needed more room. They worked with us on the design and accommodated our needs. Project was ontime and on budget. The basement came out awesome ! Was so happy we used them for the zillion other things we needed done in the house. Highly recommend Professional Building Services !!!

Pete has been a superlative professional! I am so impressed with how he conducts himself with prompt feedback, creative ideas and genuine enthusiasm for his craft that I felt compelled to write a review- even before the work is done! Pete is a very practical sounding board for ideas. I could tell immediately that I didn't have to guard myself against a 'hard salesman'. He gave his opinion about what would be necessary and how he could save us money without compromising an excellent outcome. Like I said, we haven't even gotten a completed product yet- but I'm looking forward to posting an updated review. :-) Note: This review didn't get posted earlier because I must have forgotten a step. :-) See update below... Update: I wish I could give Pete and his crew a "constellation" of stars (way more that 5 star quality). :-) He and his guys have been fantastic!!! The project we were doing was for a wish organization...and Pete spent time working to help to get things donated!!!!! He is such a generous and genuine guy! We struck gold with this find!!! The basement is looking terrific!!! We will definitely be bringing him back!
