John answered the phone the first time I called and got back to me the next day with a time to fix the problem. He was prompt, professional and was able to finish one job of the two repairs with no new parts. I appreciated his honesty and his resolving the problem. Most of all I appreciate that he was willing to do a small job quickly.

Incredibly well. After explaining problem to me, he tried the conservative route. Will come and do the other one and check furnace in the coming months

Our kitchen faucet broke and John Pettigrew responded very quickly to replace it. He was very efficient and pleasant to work with. In the past he replaced everything in both of our bathrooms and we have been very happy with the results. He also installed our hot water tank many years ago and we have had no problems with any of the work he has done.

I thought the service was fantastic and was confident I had found a plumber ,unfortunately they don't return calls. I don't have time to call over and over until they finally respond and lost faith that they would return a call in a crisis situation. I will find someone else for future work

This was a very frustrating experience. I contacted company for estimate on bathrrom renovation and the repair of two leaks in my bathroom. Owner was quick to come out for estimate, but never returned phonecalls or provided estimate afterwards. I had to call him after six weeks of no contact. I was assured that I would hear from him shortly, but that I had been forgotten. Again, never had another returned phonecall. Additionally, I was told that the estimate was never completed because I needed a special bathtub that Pettigrew could not locate anywhere. I made a couple of phonecalls to bathroom suppliers and found multiple units.

My mother had her very old water heater replaced last summer and we found Mr. Pettigrew on Angie's List. I live out of town but I spoke to him on the phone and arranged a date for an estimate. My mother said he arrived on time, gave a fair estimate and arranged a date to return to do the work. On the appointed day, he arrived on time, did the work, cleaned up, and took the old water heater away. She was very pleased that it was done efficiently and quickly.

I contacted John Pettigrew regarding a water softening system. He immediately returned my call and set up an appointment (free of charge) for someone to come out to test my water and advise me as to what type of system would best correct my problem. I purchased the equipment and set up an appointment with John for installation. Due to my travel schedule and weather, we needed to reschedule several times. John was always available to answer my calls. When the blizzard hit in early February, once again we needed to reschedule. John contacted me in a timely fashion and promised me that he would fit me into the schedule in order to get the system installed as soon as possible. John came to my house the first day my driveway was accessible and installed the system. He connected the filter(s) to the water tank and installed the drainage tube. The work is neat and the system is set up in a logical configuration that minimizes the amount of floor space it takes up. He explained how the system worked and flushed all the lines. He provided me with lots of information and told me to contact him if I had any questions. I would highly recommend John for any plumbing work you may need.

Overall we felt the value for the money was not there as we paid for his time while on the phone (on the job) as well as time to come back and correct mistakes he made the first time around.

Pulled me back off the cliff. He is stopping by later to a**** what needs to be done for a permeant fix. All this assistance on a Sunday, to someone he never met and without any promise of future work. Amazing

Mr. Pettigrew arrived right on time and quickly determined the original installer had inserted a spacer in the connector for no apparent reason (the spacer was what foiled my attempts to reconnect). He removed the spacer and installed a new coupler (threads on the old one were a mess). He was done in 30 minutes - a professional, neat and effective job. And I thought the price was more than fair. I will call Mr. Pettigrew for all my plumbing needs in the future.

I found this company when I googled plumbers in my area. John called back right away, this was a friday. I told him of my troubles and that it had been like that for a month so I had no problem with him fitting me in when he could. He came on Tuesday or Weds of the next week. He was great!!! He got under my sink(very impressed he could twist like that) and ran the water and found out that......... the hose on my faucet sprayer was loose. He turned it a couple times and ..... DONE no more leak.Ok so I am not handy, what can I say.He was very kind and professional. I will call again for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent service start to finish!

After unsuccessfully trying to repair my leaking kitchen faucet by myself, I decided it was time to call in some help. John answered his phone on my first call (a rarity these days) and made time in his schedule to come to my house the next morning. He tried repairing my faucet, but after a little while realized it would be more of a hassle to repair than to replace. He had another job to go to and I had some free time so he advised me to go buy a faucet and give him a call once I had it. He came back shortly after I called and installed the new faucet. John is professional, responsive and super nice. His charge was beyond reasonable and I appreciated that he made time to attend to this small job so quickly and didn't try to charge me a markup on a new faucet. I will definitely call him again for any plumbing and heating services I need and will recommend him to anyone I know looking for these services. In fact, I'm so pleased with the experience that I've been telling friends and family who aren't even looking for a plumber that they should keep him in mind.

Haven't had a sink in the basement for 5 years....so inconvenient. Finally decided to make life easier. Couldn't turn off the water for kitchen sink....handle compromised. Also happy to have working plumbing in basement. Itemized bill presented at end of work Tuesday 7/10 within reasonable accommodation of projected cost. (He did a few extra things not in original estimate).Job well done, left work area neat and clean.

I went to website...easy to navigate and was able to send follow up email with details of service needed. He telephoned in am to set up visit time. Also called just prior to coming for service call on same day.

Everything went great. John and his son Ben are extremely responsive and were able to do the work on the day we requested for a reasonable price. They are both very knowledgeable, punctual and willing to help. I would highly recommend them to friends and family.
