"Let me start by saying that the member was a good customer but does not have any experience in granite countertops. When i scheduled the job with her I told her it would be at 9am. She told me that her son would have to get out of bed to be awake for the appointment. This was not ideal becaue he stays up until all hours of the night. GET A JOB. The gap she is to referring behind the backsplash was a product of her wall not being straight. We tried explaining this to her several times and even sent an installer to finish it with caulking when this isn't something that we normally do. The factory panel she is talking about is a straight piece of wood that would normally be tight against the countertop. the problem is that the panel was floating next to the dishwasher and not screwed to anything. her formica countertop probably had a screw that connected the two. It is not possible to screw the granite to the panel and we are not responsible for cabinet work. We are more than happy to work with contractors or cabinet guys to make the install come out as nice as possible but she had none of these on site. When Claudio went to amke the template he removed her countertops including the one on the island where she claims it came out wrong. After expalining to her that Granite has different standards than formica she proceeded to tell me that she already had granite on the island previously. Claudio assured me that this wan't the case. I'm not calling her a liar but she was certainly confused about what type of countertop she previously had. She stopped pressing this non isssue because she realized she was in the wrong. We had set up two appointments with her to address these issues and she missed both appointments. When she said her father asked her if she did the countertops herself is was shocked. She would have to have a bridge saw and CNC set up in her garage to make this happen. I don't think this remark came because of the workmanship but because he had no idea of what the process was to end up with a finished granite countertop. I can say that we will go back to any job until the customer is happy even if it is an issue that has nothing to do with our workmanship. I have pages upon pages of good reviews from customers that are due to putting out a quality product. Don't let one persons opinion that clearly has no idea of what is correct or incorrect be a factor in your decision."
