Description of Work: I live in the Near South neighborhood in Lincoln Nebraska. I had a friend who didn't have a job or a place to live and I let him live in my apartment for several months while he got back on his feet. He was a really messy dude and the apartment was pretty messy when he left. I wanted a clean start so I signed up for an Angie's List account to figure out who provided the best cleaning service. Capital Cleaning had the best ratings. | |I'll get this out of the way: they did a good job cleaning. The apartment looked much better than it did before they came. | |So here's some of the reasons I give them a low score. | |1) I guess for $200 I wasn't expecting "cleaner" I was expecting "pristine." I live in a small 1br apartment. The two areas I pointed out as most in need of work... the toilet bowl and the stovetop, both were far from "pristine"... they were cleaner but there was still quite a bit of grime both places. I'm confused why they even asked what areas are a priority or need attention because neither of those areas seemed to have received special attention. | |2) I get the sense that Capital Cleaning generally serves suburban clientele. I had cleared Capital Cleaning to park in my driveway but I have a neighbor who lives in the apartment below mine who was also parked there. Not a lot I can do about that. The cleaners when they called seemed very annoyed. I tried to make the parking situation clear when I was scheduling the cleaning. If I knew this was going to be a problem I would've gladly contacted another service who doesn't mind cleaning in non-suburban parts of town where parking spots are kind of scarce. | |3. There was a real disrespect for my personal possessions. A buddhist friend of mine had given me as a gift a prayer wheel that was made by Tibetan monks. I had it sitting on one of my window sills. When I got home after the cleaning the prayer wheel was broken on the ground near the window sill. A painting I had nearby was completely out of place. My window blinds were all askew and out of place, and one of the sections on one of the blinds was broken, which will probably cost me money when I move out. My shoes in my closet were tossed around and out of place. This aspect of the service was by far the most distressing and off-putting and contributes hugely to why I give Capital Cleaning such a low score. | |4. I was told that follow up service offers would be much cheaper. I assumed that someone would be in touch to let me know the details of cheaper cleanings I could get in the future. Instead I haven't heard from anyone with Capital Cleaning about my service or the supposed cheaper follow up services they offer. I assume they decided they didn't want my business again, which is why they treated my personal possessions so poorly, and never contacted me about follow up service offers, even though when I was making the appointment, this was a big talking point that the man I talked to on the phone brought up. | |5. I guess the last thing I'll mention is they seem geared toward a clientele who can be free during the middle of the day to be present while the cleaning is happening and give instructions. I have a lot on my plate and don't necessarily have time to do this. Had I been available to instruct the cleaners things might've turned out differently, and my personal possesions probably wouldn't have been treated extremely carelessly. It's kind of annoying that I have to be available to do the work of instructing cleaners to get my money's worth. | |6. I have no idea if I got my "Angie's List" discount, I'm not even sure what I was charged, there was no receipt left or note or email or anything. I was told that I would be charged "up to" $200 which seemed like a pointlessly vague way of putting it, especiallly if you have no intention of leaving a note or a receipt noting how much the service cost. I mentioned the Angie's List discount on the phone and was told that I would receive that, but then was told this "up to $200" thing, without any mention of the discount. A receipt or a note stating the cost of the service and the discount received would've been appreciated. | |Overall very unimpressed with Capital Cleaning, but I'm glad they cleaned my apartment, even though it was kind of a crappy experience.

Description of Work: Awesome job cleaning our house. We have 3 kids under 3, and they made our house shine. We are going to have them come 1-2 per month. Would highly recommend.

Description of Work: The cost reflects an extra charge for cleaning after a "sebatical," due to illness, vacation, etc. I totally agreed and encouraged the additional charge, because the house was rather dirty. Also, my home is a large home. The ladies, who are wonderful, vacuumed, cleaned bathrooms, kitchen, etc., or (as I say) the full boat.

Description of Work: The first meeting with the company involved a gentleman coming to our house. We visited about the tasks to be done. He looked at the house, reviewed my comfort level, and he presented the prices that were to be charged according to the tasks I desired to be completed. The price depends on what work is required. The work schedule will be every other week. | |This was the first cleaning with the service. They did the whole house: upstairs and downstairs. The first cleaning includes more work as they set the foundation for future work. Three people came to clean and the person in charge reviewed what they were to do and I agreed with their plan. We discussed any special needs I had. | |I did have the house picked up so they could do their job of cleaning. They vacuumed carpets,scrubbed tile floors, scrubbed and polished wood floors,(all floors are cleaned by hand) cleaned bathrooms (toilets, tile showers,bathtubs, mirrors and granite counters, sinks,and fixtures), dusted furniture and dusted wood blinds. | |In the kitchen they cleaned my granite counter and island, cleaned the outside of all appliances and my glass stove top, cleaned my double sink and fixtures. | |In the utility room, the washer and dryer were wiped and the tile floor scrubbed. | |I did see that they cleaned my front door on the outside. | |After they were finished, the person in charge went through the house with me to show what they did. She explained why they had to do certain tasks. | |It was a pleasure to do business with them. I was satisfied and impressed with their professional demeanor.

Description of Work: Capital cleaning company came to my house and did an amazing job cleaning. I can not even tell you the amazing attention to detail that the ladies had who were here cleaning. They were both extremely professional, friendly and polite. I loved the fact that I was able to meet the two ladies who would be consistently coming to clean. I could always count on the fact that it would be the two ladies I met and not some new face every time. It was such am amazing feeling coming home to such an impeccably clean house. It was extremely evident that no shortcuts were taken and that they spent a lot of quality time cleaning. I am especially impressed with how clean our kitchen always is after they are here.

Description of Work: We have a three bedroom two bath townhouse with a finished basement. Complete cleaning of townhouse from ceiling fans to floors.

Description of Work: They clean our Master bathroom, and Kitchen every Monday morning. for one fee. and Travis has given us a list of prices other areas we would like cleaned, after they do their regular work for us. All we have to do is leave a note the the fee for the extra work to be done. It gets done. They always leave cleaning list of what they have done, and a list prices already set for the other areas of the house when we want them to do extra.
