They did a great job.

We were on a time crunch to have our home ready for an open house. Greg worked the weekend and used a dustless system that was wonderful. He has a great work ethic and got the job done fast and to perfection. The floors look brand new! I would use him again in a heartbeat!

After calling several companies, Greg was the only one who could come out and give me a quote within a week. I accepted the bid and he started work a week later. He completed the work on time and our floor is beautiful!

We had put out 3 requests to have our floors refinished. Fayton's flooring responded within 3 days. They gave a bid that we were comfortable with and said that they could start within 3 days. Instead of waiting for other companies to respond we accepted his estimate. We liked his equipment that vacuumed up the sanding. We had no dust in our house while the job was going on. Greg kept us informed as to what was going on. The job was completed one day earlier than proposed. I'd recommend Fayton's Floors and would use them again if there was a need. FYI, the other two companies we contacted still haven't responded.

Overall the project went very well, Fayton started on time but took 1 day longer than planned. the final product looks very good, there were some small pieces of bristle or hair that were found in the finish and one other small defect, but overall the finished project looks great.

Greg did a great job. Very reliable, arrived every morning by 8. Pleasant to work with. I love my beautiful floor. Thank you Greg.

When we first contacted Greg Fayton he was traveling from California to Omaha. What a great find! He advertises that his work is 99% dust free and we were leery at first but his work is amazing. He is prompt, neat, easy to work with and 99% dust free. He is a pro and our floors are beautiful, and everyone who has seen them asks for his name. John & Chris

Greg was very helpful addressing various issues on how to go about fixing different floor areas of the house. When we removed the carpet there were areas that was badly damaged due to pet stains. He went ahead and removed those pieces installed new pieces on heavily stained areas to break up stains. I really appreciate his expertise and professionalism and would call him on future projects. I CALLED SEVERAL FLOOR REFINISHERS AND LEFT MESSAGES GREG CALLED BACK RIGHT AWAY. I DESCRIBED THE JOB I NEEDED, HE QUOTED A PRICE THAT WAS ACCEPTABLE SO I BOOKED HIM. HE SHOWED UP ON TIME WITH HIS CREW AND GOT THE JOB DONE IN ONE DAY. HE CLEANED EVERYTHING UP I HAD THE JOB INSPECTED AND I AM VERY HAPPY. I WILL USE HIM ON MY NEXT PROJECT. DAVE DIMARTINO

Mostly very well. The only negative was the he was in a hurry and we were not able to correct a few minor issues.

Mr. Greg Fayton and his crew WALKED OFF THE JOB WITHOUT FINISHING AFTER RECEIVING A $3,000 PAYMENT. They only finished 1/5 of the job agreed upon. After Mr. Fayton reviewed and measured the job site twice and after giving two separate escalated quotes, we agreed to pay him $5,100. After beginning the job, Mr. Fayton decided to measure the job site a THIRD time and discovered he had measured incorrectly again and asked the owner for additional monies after signing an agreement to complete the job for $5,800. After refusing to pay Mr. Fayton the additional monies and asking him to honor his signed agreement which he prepared, Mr. Fayton gave us an ultimatum saying either pay me the money or I will quit. Which he did. Leaving us in a lurch and scrambling to find someone else to complete the job. At what point does a professional stand by his word?!! Apparently, Mr. Fayton does not. Mr. Fayton is the most unprofessional small business owner I have ever encountered. He brings a cot to the job site and sleeps on it during working hours, we know this because we witnessed this twice. Additionally, when coming to check on the job, we also noticed his workers all on the cell phones chatting when they should be working. We noticed this behavior twice as he was installing the small portion of the job that he performed. He also delayed the job by ordering the wrong type of wood which was sitting in my house for over a week without him even coming to verify the accuracy of his order. As it turns out, it was completely wrong. Which caused a weeks delay. I would never hire this company to perform any professional task for me at all ever!! Not only are the unprofessional, they are disrespectful of your home while being in it by laying food wrappers and bottles around attracting ants and other vermin. Buyer Beware!!!

Monday I picked up my dining room rug to discover the hardwood floors had been ruined by cat stains. I called Greg on Tuesday. He came out and looked and quoted me on Wednesday. He and his crew came out on Thursday and sanded and laid the first coat of finish. He personally came back on Friday to buff the floor and apply the second coat. He and a crewman were back on Saturday to buff the floor and apply the final coat (Bona Novia). He saved our original 1927 oak floor. It's beautiful. Yes, you can still see some dark patches, but that's only because I decided to go with the natural finish instead of having him apply a darker, walnut colored stain, as he suggested to mask the dark spots. As soon as I have more time to bring him out, I'm going to have him refinish my living room as well. Also, he has this dust-free sanding system that vacuums virtually all the dust outside into bags. He didn't have to tape off the room and there's no dust from the floor anywhere in the house. I've heard that the dust can be the messiest part of floor refinishing, but Greg's system completely eliminated the dust problem.

Great source of information, will work with in the future

3 weeks after moving into my new apartment we discovered that the floors needed to be refinished. I have two small children, two cats and a house full of furniture so I was not too thrilled about the idea of dust going everywhere. After scouring the internet for "Dustless Floor Refinishing" I found only 2 companies that were 99.9% dustless. Everybody else said they were 85% dustless (which I learned is BS, either your dustless or you're not dustless). The first Dustless company I spoke with quoted me about $4200. Yikes, that seemed like a lot since our budget was only about $2500. At the end of the day I got a call from Greg Fayton of Fayton Floors. He was VERY friendly and I trusted him right away. He quoted me $2200 and said he could start Monday. I was thrilled to find a dustless company that hit the budget number AND was able to start in just 3 days. Fast forward to Monday, Greg and his crew showed up on time and got started. It took them 5 days to complete the job and my floors look absolutely beautiful! I almost fell over when I walked in the door. Also, Greg was nice enough to help me move all the furniture back into the living room/dining room. Another bonus is that he uses low VOC. Oh and in case you have any doubt...there was NO DUST! Thaaaaaaaaank you Greg!!! :)

He was great. Greg Fayton is the main guy. It was subcontracted so I didn't actually pay for it. They did a fantastic job and they were very clean. I would highly recommend them.

THE WORK ON THE FLOORS ARE NICE AND THE DUST FREE MACHINE WAS A PLUS. HOWEVER, WE SPECIFICALLY STATED WE DID NOT WANT DARK FLOORS DUE TO THE SMALL SIZE OF THE ROOM. HE POINTED OUT THE AREAS WITH DOG MARKINGS WOULD SHOW THROUGH WITH A LIGHTER STAIN, BUT WE WERE WILLING TO LIVE WITH A MEDIUM COLOR STAIN. WE REPEATED THIS TO MR. FAYTON SEVERAL TIMES BUT IN THE END THE STAIN HE UTILIZED WAS TOO DARK. UNFORTUNATELY, THE FLOORS CANNOT BE REFINISHED ANYMORE. IN THE END HE DID NOT CHARGE US FOR THE STAINING. 12/9/10 Mr Fayton did give us a follow up call, and I went over why I orginally provided a C grade. After further discussion I also mentioned the transition board between the kitchen & dining room was left in a week state. I was hesitant to call him back to fix this issue but he offfered to come by and he did fix this problem.

They did a very good job, and Greg has subsequently come out to our house to troubleshoot a few things that were not related to his job. Greg is a very nice guy, and the price is certainly good.

Things have come up that were due to my house but they coordinated with me on each thing that came up. They were very reasonable about the change orders and they were clearly "my issue" with my home. Their ability so solve issues as they come up is excellent. The price I listed above is "after change orders" which being a contractor myself, I think are barely over his costs of materials and labor (if he made profit on these, it's deserved). I have had various questions during the process and they were helpful and knowledgable in answering these questions.

I went with company because they offer dustless floor refinishing. They connect the sanders to an external dust collection system with 4-inch hoses. This worked really well and we had no dust in the other parts of the house. Total job took 3 days. 1 1/2 days of sanding. 1st coat went on end of the 2nd day and 2nd coat and light sanding happened on 3rd day. We moved back in 2 days later. I was very happy with the quality of the work. Floors look great. The owner, Greg, was a nice guy to work with and replaced a couple of missing thresholds for no charge. He even finished an outside threshold that was pretty beat up by the sun.

THEY DID GREAT WORK. THEY ARE VERY CONSCIENTIOUS. THEY WERE QUICK. THEY WERE ABLE TO GET IT ALL DONE IN THREE OR FOUR DAYS WHICH IS GREAT. I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THEIR WORK. THE FLOORS WERE ALL LEVEL. THEY'RE VERY HONEST WHICH IS ALWAYS GOOD WHEN YOU'RE DEALING WITH CONTRACTORS. THERE WERE NO HIDDEN COSTS. THEY WERE VERY UP FRONT.
