"[Member Name Removed] I am sorry that you were not pleased with the coordination of your aeration service. We work 7 days a week during this time of year and it is difficult to call each customer days in advance for aeration. I did reach out the day before we came as we tried to do you a favor by coming out just before the only 2 day slow soaking rain event we had in a 3 month drought. I can offer you free aeration for next year if you are interested. Scott Fairman"
"Thank you for your review [Member Name Removed]. Your ongoing business is greatly appreciated."
That was in October. Fast forward to the spring of 2015 and we asked Scott for weeks to get our sprinkler system turned back on. We were losing plants right and left because they needed to be watered. I texted him 3-4 times, my husband called and emailed. Scott said he sent someone out to turn it on, but they didn't do the work. Then he had my husband out in the yard trying to figure out how to turn the system back on (my husband is not very handy so that didn't work) because Scott was in Charleston doing some hardscaping. Then he came out and turned in on about 4 weeks after we started this conversation. When my husband and I got home that night there was one head that was continuously watering a big tree. That side of our yard was a swamp because a valve got stuck open. We called Scott again and finally got the system resolved.
We asked him to check the landscaping because we had 4 dead bushes and 2 dead arborvitae. The 2 Japanese maples and 1 pink magnolia that he had planted had a lot of dead branches. And the rest of the plants were struggling in general. He told us that he would check them. When we inquired as to his thoughts he said that it was because of our harsh winter. He kept telling us that he would see about getting them replaced. The trees should have been under warranty based on what he originally told us.
We finally let Scott go. Long after we should have. We had a new landscaper come out and replace all of the dead bushes and trees to the tune of about $1500. He said that there was not very much dirt in the holes. We have red clay and you have to put quality soil in the holes where the plants are going or the roots cannot grow. The plants that this landscaper put in have thrived and the ones that Scott Turf put in all continue to struggle.
After such a long relationship with Scott, my husband and I were really disappointed that we got the dismissal from him over such an expensive job. He actually billed us for something after we fired him!!
"The [Member Info Removed] are wonderful people whom I enjoyed providing top notch service for 5 years. Although [Member Info Removed] timeframe and disattisfaction is close to but not totally accurate. My contract was itemized and very detailed. Our workmanship was guaranteed And we exceeded our services by providing additional sod, plants, irrigation, soil, seed and mulch at no additional cost. After only 1 irrigation spring startup miscue by my employee, who turned on all but 1 valve, our service was cancelled. There had to have been something else at play to cause such a rapid dismissal. I had both [Member Info Removed] and [Member Info Removed] in my phone and never once did i not return a phone call or a text message. I tend to take each customer relationship personally, and I was shocked and saddened by the turn of events. I reached out to [Member Info Removed] on 4 occassions back in june but he declined my attempts."
"WE SHOWED UP A DAY EARLY DUE TO APPROACHING RAIN AND WANTED TO GET THE JOB DONE PRIOR TO THAT WHICH WAS IN THE CUSTOMERS BEST INTEREST. ALTHOUGH WE DO NOT GUARANTEE SEED GERMINATION, WE WOULD HAVE GLADLY PERFORMED THE JOB OVER HAD THE CUSTOMER MADE HIS CONCERNS AND DISSATISFACTION KNOWN TO US. TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE I DO NOT THINK THE CUSTOMER EVER CONTACTED US REGARDING THIS SITUATION."
"THEY HAD A BABY IN 2007 AND HAD TO STOP USING OUR SERVICES. THEY CALLED BACK IN FEBRUARY OF 2009 AND WISH TO START BACK USING OUR SERVICES."
