Serpaco Painting

This is a great company to work with from first contact. Emailed them about an estimate to paint a house we were in the process of buying. Patrick came out when we were completing our home inspection. Have us a break down of pricing per room. We decided to have ceilings and trim painted after his initial visit. Said it was not a problem. Got me estimates quickly. We had no limitations on color choices which was wonderful. They even gave us 5% of as an Angie's List member and another 5% for not having any furniture in the house. When Patrick and his crew arrived they treated the job as if it was their own home. I was super impressed by their focus on detail. They realized after putting two coats of paint on the walls in our dinning room they realized there had previously been wallpaper. They spent the time to correct the issue the right way. This took extra paint and work, but I was not charged extra. If you want your house painted correctly you need to contact Serpaco. I will not use any other company in the future.

After evaluating proposals from four contractors (all highly rated on Angie's List), we chose to go with the proposal offered by Serpaco Painting based on price and the description of how the work was to be performed. This was a pleasant experience from the beginning with Donnie Stutts' prompt survey and proposal and the reasonalble time to schedule the crew to do the work all the way to completion of the job. The painting crew led by Victor did an excellent job. Repairs to areas I had not noticed were made without discussion; paint/stain application was done carefully with little damage to ferns and other foundation plants and there was absolutely no issue with job site cleanliness. I have no hesitation in highly recommending this company.

It was a great experience from start to finish. Patrick was the project manager and constantly communicated with me on when they would be coming out to begin prep, carpentry, etc. The lead painter George and his assistant worked tirelessly all day. They were very professional, cleaned up after themselves, and treated my home as if it were their own. My home ended up having more carpentry items that needed addressing than we originally estimated but they took care of it and all I did was purchase the materials. I had only asked to have the deck stained as I thought I would save a dime and do the rails myself later; however, they painted all the rails as well. It's not too often you get more than you paid for but in this case we did. I cannot recommend this company enough.

From the beginning the customer service was awesome. Daryl, our sales rep responded to all of our questions and concerns immediately through out the whole process and the painters were very diligent and took pride in their workmanship. We were also amazed by the efficiency and cleanliness of the painters. This level of high quality service is very rare; I would highly recommend Serpaco Painting to anyone that needed a professional painting company.

I got quotes from 5 different painting companies. Serpaco was not the cheapest, but they were at the low end of the estimates. I liked that they only hand painted--no spraying. They began within a few days of our estimated start date. They pressure washed and prepped the house. There were two painters (one named George.) very nice, polite and hard working. Although they were here early and stayed till evening--we hardly knew they were here. I was extremely impressed by the quality of the job they did. They were careful of all our plants and outdoor areas. Everyone at Serpaco (Patrick was our estimator and go-to guy) was friendly, knowledgeable and hard working. It looks like a new house. Very pleased with the whole experience. I highly recommend them!

Nick called me back the same day that I left him a message regarding getting an estimate for having the outside of our home painted. He arranged a time to give the estimate and arrived on time. We walked around the house and then Nick did his own thorough inspection and provided us with an estimate which outlined the various services he recommended, listed separately, so that we could pick and choose. We ended up choosing all of them. Alex was the painter who arrived each morning. he and another gentleman were here everyday. it was nice having the same people here the entire time. They worked a minimum of ten hour days and the clean up each evening was amazing. Everyone who worked on our home was polite, professional, helpful in every way. We are very pleased with the way our home looks. Our deck looks new. Nick went on vacation during our painting, but his business partner, Chris, took over. He checked the work each day and kept us updated. We did a final walk-through with him at the end, and he picked out a few touch ups that were needed, which I had missed. Will definitely call Serpaco Painting again for any exterior or interior painting needs.

I got 3 estimates from painters with high ratings on Angie's List. Nick came to our house several times before he gave my final estimate. He pointed out multiple repairs that needed to be done. Some of the repairs required some special pieces of wood that he and his lead carpenter (Alex ) were able to make for the house. He made some suggestions regarding repairs around my front porch and changed the rain diverters so they are actually doing what they are designed to do. The cost was more than I had hoped for but within the ballpark of Nick:'s estimate. I would recommend this company to friends and will use them in the future if needed.

WE THOUGHT THIS PROJECT WOULD BE A NIGHTMARE BUT WAS A PLEASURE! Nick, owner, and his team led by Victor was indeed a pleasure to work with. They worked diligently and steady exhibiting expertise, professionalism and a willingness to work until the job, for the day, was completed even if it took working late. All were friendly, kind, competent, thoughtful and considerate. Our neighbors commented on how respectful they were and how fast they worked. Nick and team explained what they were doing as they went along and, in a way, that was fully understood. While working Nick found a problem, which could have been devastating to our home and fixed it, charging little to do it. We said to him "are you sure"? We can never thank him enough for that. That alone was worth the fee for all his services. His knowledge of paint and woodwork is amazing. He and his team were the absolute best and very particular; always cleaning up and putting things away before they left each evening. AND, this was a first for me, he said "nothing down and no payment until I see a smile on your faces". What a fabulous business man, Nick. If you like what you have read and like good quality work with concern and caring, there is only one number to call. Guess I don't have to say that we were thrilled and extremely happy with the finished project. My house looks almost like new now! Thank you Nick and team!

They did a fantastic job and the house looks great. Nick, the owner, was our main sales person and was very good and thorough. His workers were wonderful and we were very happy with their work. They also gave us great attention and took pride in their work.

We obtained quotes from three Angie's List highly rated companies and choose Serpaco based on price, promised mode of painting (brushing vs. spraying) and schedule. We started with exterior only and found their work to be such high quality and professional that we obtained an interior quote as well. They successfully received the interior work as well. Patrick headed up the initial estimates and explained their process. He communicated well with me via email regarding numerous questions and clarifications I had before I signed a contract with them. He was prompt, thorough, and professional. During the work on both the exterior and interior (which took just a little more than 2 weeks...weather cooperated with us!) the painters George and his helper, showed up promptly every day and often worked late to get the job done. They were professional and did high quality work...I've had many painters over my many years as a homeowner. Patrick arrived on the work site every day and ensured all was going as I expected. He was easy to work with, even with some work scope changes we made. Finally, he even painted a back set of steps that George was unable to get to because of weather. The interior work, both trim and walls, went great and of the few things we ask them to do differently, they cooperatively and professionally did. My wife and I are very pleased with the outcome of our exterior and interior. It's like a new house, painted by a great team. I'd use them again if I needed paint work. I've already recommended them to a couple friends.

From beginning to end Nick and his team were professional and on time. They made suggestions, pointed out problems and explained what was being done every step of the way. The work took just over a week and the same people came each day. They cleaned up every night before leaving. We watched them work a few times and they are clearly expert at this type of work. Overall it was a very good experience and I would recommend them to others. They were not the cheapest quote I received but they were the most detailed and clear. The work comes with a 5 year warranty. I think you get what you pay for and Nick and his crew were worth it.

We are well satisfied with the results. Patrick provided a comprehensive review of our needs and directed the job from start to finish. His work crew was excellent, working up until around 7:30pm. Addressed small requests throughout the job, including the removal of our gas grill and other furniture from our deck and re-installing several days after the job was completed. Hand painting in 2 colors(1 for siding and 1 for trim) and using 2 coats really made a positive difference in the results. Equally so with the paint used on the deck, a Flood SWF solid in Traditional Cedar.

Everything went extremely well. Price and quality exceeded expectations. The Area Manager coordinating the effort was great, and a complete professional in all areas of the job. This included the initial estimate of the work to the final review. Would definitely use Serpaco for any future projects.

From the estimate to the finished job, the process was excellent. I got four painting estimates and decided to go with Serpaco not only because of their price, but also because of their attention to detail and their professionalism. After the job was finished, Daryl came back out to check over the job. He was pickier than I was and had a crew come back to touch a couple things up. I was happy with the whole job!

I've worked with a lot of painters in the past (I'm an architect) and Nick is my favorite, by far. His crew was professional and friendly, and did a very thorough job. The paint job and carpentry repairs were done very professionally. I know a little bit about paint, and I was impressed with Nick's paint recommendations, including using low VOC products for the interior work, to reduce odors and fumes. Additionally, I live in a neighborhood where the neighboring houses are only 12 to 15 feet away, and one of my retired neighbors is very persnickety about his "space." Nick talked with him and assured him that he would be very careful, and replace any plants that were damaged by his crew. This saved us all a lot of hassle. Other neighbors actually commented to me about how courteous Nick's crew was. Serpaco did such a good job that I probably won't need their services for a while, but I highly recommend them!

They were wonderful. I enjoyed them and they did a good job. Dani was extremely professional, very honest and very candid of what needs to be done. His workers were just fabulous. When they took my furniture down and moved it they were so careful with everything. They did a beautiful job inside. I even needed an oriental rug turned and they did that. They did excellent job using the best quality paint. They were always updated. They were nice and courteous besides doing a great job and having the best price. In every category I thought they were winners.

Nick and his team were fantastic from the very start. Quick response to our original inquiry lead equally quickly to a start of the job within a week of intial contact. We had not painted the house in approximately 10 years so much was in disrepair. In just over a weeks time, the rotten wood had been replaced, two coats of paint were on the house, landscaping was intact and the house looked brand new.

Extremely pleases with service and work

Serpaco Painting did an excellent job from start to finish.....we could not be more pleased. We told them that after several not positive paint experiences with other painting companies, we were totally pleased beyond our expectations. We had total satisfaction with the completed job and are breathing a sigh of relief at how our home has been restored to its like new appearance.

I chose Serpaco because this company took the most care in making an estimate and explained in the most detail what needed to be done and how best to accomplish it. Carpentry was a very large part of this job, and I was impressed that the estimator, Donnie Stutts, also had the carpenter who would be doing the work (Brandon Whirley) come out separately to assess the work needed for the chimney and fireplace removal and around the front door and steps. I was convinced that the estimate was the most realistic one I received, and that they really knew what they were doing. I was eager to get going right away, and they were able to work me into the schedule quickly. The work was done in a well-thought-out sequence, working around the weather and around my schedule thoughtfully, with no needless delays. My decisions to add to the work after it was under way were accommodated smoothly. I was impressed with the efficiency and cost-consciousness with which the work was done, while ensuring high quality. Everyone worked hard, with minimal disturbance to my work in my home office (I'm self-employed). Clean-up at the end of each day and at the end of the job was thorough. Everyone was friendly and courteous. Donnie, Brandon, and Leo (who led the painting crew) were happy to answer all questions in detail, but they usually anticipated my questions before I could even ask. They were all a pleasure to work with. I am very happy with the quality of the work, and I would not hesitate to call Serpaco for any future needs.

Overall was very pleased with the experience and both the turnaround time on the work estimate and the actual job were performed in a timely manner. The painting team arrived on time both days and were diligent on their prep work, including some minimal movement of furniture and more importantly, putting down plastic sheeting to protect hardware floors and carpeting. Only slight disappointment was the fact that the supervisor likely was overly optimistic on estimating the time needed to complete all the work given the crew was two very hard working individuals who still could not complete the job in one day as originally estimated. The work was performed in high quality manner and the punch list of about 4-5 items that needed to be re-done were taken care of in a timely manner. Would recommmend to others.

It went very well. The team first powerrwashed and then did all of the prep work while waiting for the special order siding to arrive before starting the carpentry. The job from start to finish took about two weeks but that was due to a couple of rain days in the midst of the project. The team was thorough and detailed and did a great job of edging against the brick and vinyl windows. It looks better now than when we bought it new.

All went extremely well starting from meeting with Nick Serpa for the first consultation/estimate. We felt so comfortable with Nick's presentation, expertise, experience and price that we agreed to his written proposal on the spot. A handshake without a deposit sealed the deal. Work started on schedule and took 5 days. Serpaco team of workers were quiet, efficient and worked all day from 8:30am to 5:30pm with a break for lunch. No loud music, no chatter, no messy work habits. They even moved all furniture where necessary. At the end of each work day the men cleaned up, stored all paint, dropcloths, brushes, ladders etc outside and left our home uncluttered until the next work day. Nick came almost every day to check progress and answer any questions that we had. The replacement of the shoe molding at the bottom of the baseboards on the main floor with quarter rounds was Nick's suggestion and he was so right. It made a great improvement over the original molding and finished the baseboards to the floor. Before repainting the baseboards and trim, the painters caulked every seam and crack that had appeared in the last 9 years. When the work was finished Nick returned, as promised, with Marco the foreman, to touch up any punch list items. We were happy to pay the agreed upon price with the addition of the baseboard repair cost which Nick charged at materials+labor. Sherwin Williams paints were used throughout and the improvement in the quality of the original paint clearly shows.

The Serpaco painters hand brushed the whole house, and they did a beautiful job. They were friendly and super easy to work with, and they cleaned up after themselves every day. They were patient with us and helpful as we took a little longer than we meant to choosing the trim color. The project manager Donnie checked with us regularly throughout the project and kept us up to date. I'd highly recommend Serpaco and would use them in the future.

Very quick and responsive to: return calls; schedule and provided estimate; schedule job at first available time within rain constraints and their other clients; complete work. Extremely professional and thorough in: communication; measuring for estimate; executing job; respecting property. This was the one the most efficient experiences I've had with contractors during my 15 years of homeownership. They have the highest character I've known of any business owners/managers. You certain get what you pay for!
