Serpaco Painting

Kevin and his crew did a really good job. I had a large amount of siding I wanted replaced. Kevin offered to save some money by leaving some of the siding that was still in good condition. But, when I expressed I wanted to take care of any possible future problem areas now he understood. The siding work looks really good. They did a great job painting as well.

Donnie was very punctual and thorough. He provided a close inspection of the house before providing an estimate of the work and noticed several areas that needed repair. His team, led by Jose, was very friendly, efficient, and hard working. They powerwashed the house, repaired rotting boards, painted the house, painted the trim, painted a small metal roof, and restained our deck. Very little work was required by us. The team removed the screens and replaced them independently as well as moving furniture away from the house/deck and then returning it after the work was done. Donnie was very good about working around our availability. The cost of the service was slightly higher than the 2 other quotes we received, but we selected this company because of its excellent customer service and great Angie's List reviews. We are very happy with the work.

After receiving estimates from a number of painting contractors in the area - all of whom were highly rated on Angies' list - we elected to hire Serpaco painting based on a number of factors, including overall price, availability, and what they inidcated they would deliver for the price quoted. I make this last point because it can be a tricky business making true 'apples to apples' comparisons amongst quotes from painters. Some will quote you a total, including all carpentry cost - materials and labor. Others, and Serpaco was one, will quote carpentry labor cost per day but make no final representation as to materials cost or the number of days required. So the consumer should 'know their house' because you'll need to have a general feel at least for how much rotted wood you have that may need replacing (note this may not apply to those of you who already have Hardie plank on the whole house). I would add that in Serpaco's case, their representative did indicate that he felt the carpentry would not exceed three days labor and that's precisely where they came in. Serpaco, like any painter, first power washed the mold and debris off the house. This was followed by carpentry, which went reasonably well. I would say that having only two guys may have slowed them down, especially given that much of our work was around windows. After the carpenters were finished, the painters arrived and we were quite impressed with their diligence and professionalism. The siding was all painted in a day and a half, followed by a long Saturday where the large crew managed all of the trim, windows, shutters, front door etc...While we were not home for most of it, while there, I couldn't help but notice the nearly joyful nature of the team leaders and the crew: they clearly have worked together before and know how to operate as a team to get the job done. Those reading this who have had work done on their homes know that 'happy' does not always describe the personality of workers at your home. In summary, we are delighted with the appearance of our house and would recommend Serpaco to friends and neighbors without reservation.

Nick (the owner) was fair and lived up to his promises. Definitely would use Serpaco again. Pablo and his two man team were very professional and tidy in the "prep" work as well as in the actual painting and the "clean-up" work. Can't say enough about the quality of their work and how pleased we are with Serapco's work. They arrived on time each day for the entire seven days (excepting Sunday). They made helpful suggestions, moved and covered up areas totally, no spills, paint lines were straight and neat. Two coats of paint on all the walls and two coats as needed on the trim. We were extremely impressed so much so that we have another job for Serpaco--that being in another week or so we have engaged Serapco to do work on the exterior of our home.

I had my dining room and two bedrooms painted yesterday. I also had minor repair work done to my crown molding in the dining room. The crown molding was separating from the ceiling. The molding was caulked very well prior to painting. Overall, the quality of painting was excellent.

On time, great group of workers who understood english. Serpaco did some indoor decorating three years, including removal of popcorn ceilings. We were very pleased with the results and that is the reason we used Serpaco again for the just completed outside work. Nick Serpa very helpful with advise on colors etc..

They completed several minor repairs which were necessary for the outside work. " all in all a very nice experience with experienced workers doing the job right from beginning to end."

It was a big job with more repair work done to correct poor drywall taping and muding by the builder and settling cracks but the finished result was great. They painted all walls and woodwork, five different paint colors plus trim.

They were great. Their cleanliness stood out the most to me. They cleaned up everything when they got through. There was no paint stills or no junk. There was no messy painting and clean painting. I was very satisfied with them.

We have decided to wait until warmer weather to see how things go. What I appreciate about Mr. Serpa is that he is very knowledgeable and experienced about homes. He provided information that he didn't have to. And he spared us the expense of having work done that we may not really have to do. I will definitely contact him regarding any painting projects we have in the future.

They were very efficient and very professional. They did one mistake, I didn’t want my downspouts painted but they painted those. I guess he forgot to tell his employees about it, otherwise, it was very good overall. Their prices were average; it was almost the same as others.

He was a very nice guy, gave a very thorough estimate and was on time.

Excellent experience with Serpaco. I got two estimates for the job, both contractors rated A on Angie's List, and went with Serpaco because their estimate was slightly lower than the competitor. I'm sure the other painter would have provided similar results, but I'm glad we went with Serpaco after our experience with them. The job lasted longer than expected, but they ran into some colder than normal temperatures in late October which limited their hours of painting during the day. We cannot over emphasize the attention to detail, courtesy, and professionalism of the crew during the entire operation. We hardly knew they were working except for seeing the ladders moving around outside. We have a lot of trim on our two story house, and they painted that plus all the windows, shutters, exterior doors, and stained the beadboard ceiling of our front porch. We highly recommend them for any exterior painting job and will definitely use them again in the future.

I went with this company, because they were professional. They were on time to give the estimate. They purchased the paint for me and added that to the cost. It took them about 2 weeks due to weather. Two gentleman came out to do this work. They were fine and did what I expected.

We had a great experience with Serpaco. I liked the fact that we had contact with one person (Donnie) throughout the entire process from getting the initial estimate to day to day communication about the job. After getting several estimates from Angie's List painters, we were quite confident that Serpaco would do the best work. Our job included replacing rotted wood and siding as well as painting. At first we questioned the higher total cost but, after extensive discussion with Nick and Donnie, we concluded that the other companies were significantly underestimating the actual repair costs based on the extent of rotted wood/siding. Donnie was patient and willing to answer all my questions and explain every part of the estimate and the process. The crew was very friendly. I felt very comfortable having them at my house. As far as we can tell, they do excellent work. Donnie was on site frequently to provide assistance and ensure that everything was going smoothly. All of our questions and requests were addressed. We highly recommend Serpaco.

The Serpaco crew came [and their manager] the day before painting to power wash all of the window frames and doors. The following day the same crew arived as scheduled: 19 window frames were given two coats of white paint garage doors were hand painted double front doors were given two coats of paint Upon completion and drying later that afternoon, the site was inspected by the Kevin, [Serpaco's District Manager]. Any defects or imperfections were repainted including giving the front doors another coat of paint [a total of 3 coats] to heighten the sheen and insure that brush marks were minimized. I had gotten 2 other estimates. Sepaco's was considerably lower then the highest and slightly higher then the lowest and was supplied immediately upon Kevin doing his walk around of the house. Something which neither of the other contractors were able to do. Although this job wasn't the biggest by any means, I felt that it was treated as if it was. I am totally satisfied with the quality of the work and the efficiency of the painters. I would contract with Sarpaco for future paint jobs .

It was fantastic! They were courteous and prompt! Their work was exquisite!

They did quality work but got the paint colors wrong. I think they could have corrected the paint color since it was discovered early. I thought they had corrected it and realized later they hadn't. I chose to let it go and the house looks nice but it's not the color I wanted. They did attend to repair details and I have a good end result. I'd be thrilled if the house was the color I wanted.

Donnie and his team did an excellent job prepping the exterior of the house for painting (pressure washing, repairing some wooden boards) and painting the house. His team was very courteous and professional. They only used brushes, no sprayers, so the quality of the paint job was top-notch. Donnie was always available to answer any questions, and came out to oversee the work on a number of occasions. We were very satisfied with Serpaco and will definitely use them again.

I found Serpaco on Angie's List and contacted them regarding removal of popcorn ceilings in several rooms in our newly purchased home. Patrick responded to me quickly and met me the next day at the home to give an estimate. I felt like I could trust him with the job immediately. We were on a very tight time frame and I told him the job needed to be done within a week and a half. He never hesitated and promised the job would be done, right. The crew began on Monday and finished on Friday. There were a few hiccups at the house so the project took a little longer than originally planned, but the crew stayed until it was finished and did an excellent job. I would highly recommend Patrick, Serpaco, and their crew to anyone.

Everything went great! Patrick was wonderful to work with; I have high standards and Patrick does too. He made sure that everything was done to my satisfaction and communicated well throughout the entire process. When his workers didn't do as thorough of a job on a few of the windows (paint was applied too thin in a few spots), he had them completely repaint the entire windows. He also came in under the price he estimated and in less time than estimated - all but impossible in this day and age. I would work with him again in a heartbeat, though I do not expect to need to repaint for 10 years due to his attention to detail.

Talk about consummate professionals with amazing skills and fantastic customer service! Nick Serpa and his partner Chris Gray are running a top-notch painting and carpentry business in Serpaco and from the first moment of contact to the end of the project they and every single member of their crew were outstanding. I called Nick on a Wednesday evening and he came to the house at noon the next day. This is the owner of a busy company with branches in both Charlotte and Raleigh! I was amazed. Nick spent a lot of time explaining the process to me and answering my questions. The detailed estimate he prepared for me was accurate even though he could never have foreseen the amount of rotten wood his crew would have to repair. Both Nick and Chris worked hard to stay within our budget. The overall price would be high for a simple paint job, but this house had been neglected for over ten years and had lots of water damage. Nick has on his crew skilled carpenters who cut the wood to order and matched exactly our siding and trim. They built a new crawlspace door from scratch, too. Mason Cossette helped manage our project so that it went flawlessly despite many surprises the skilled crew encountered such as a hole in the roof that ruined work they had already done, heavy unexpected rain, and wood rot greater than expected. Always Nick and Chris had alternatives that could save us money. These guys care about their customers and their employees. Speaking of which, every person who worked at our house was pleasant, hard-working, skilled and incredibly considerate. Many thanks to Jose, Lupe, and especially Alex for every little extra thing they did every day. The end result is so beautiful we hardly know our house. It was so great we asked Nick if they could paint our kitchen and repair the drywall on the ceiling, and they did so at a huge discount. These guys know house painting and repairs so well that when I discussed the floor I had in mind, Nick anticipated every problem we would encounter in replacing it. All of this without a cent up front! Serpaco did not request payment until the entire job was finished to our satisfaction. When there was a minor issue after the house was finished (some wires were out of place on the exterior) they had someone out at the house and the problem fixed within an hour of my call. OUTSTANDING company, fantastic people. You cannot go wrong with Serpaco.

First contact was with a section manager who provided a written quote and contract after measuring the work area. The estimate was accurate and estimates of required supplies dead on. The contract was signed on day 1 and final price was adjusted down because one basement door was not painted. The manager was on-site several times and was present for final day check-up and completion of contract particulars. The crews (the same 3 but with 2 additional on Saturday) arrived on time, were pleasant and responsive to questions/ suggestions, and worked diligently throughout the day. Several trim sections were high (3 stories on one side), and the crew used tall ladders safely. There were no paint spills or drops on roof. Drop cloths were used where needed, and there was no paint splatter. Surfaces were cleaned prior to painting, and a heavy coating of high-quality paint was applied. Gutter exterior surfaces were cleaned separately after painting was completed. We (homeowners) were present for all work, and had no concerns during the 6 days of work. We were pleasantly surprised that the work was finished so quickly. Overall, Serpaco Painting Inc. is a very professional, relatively large (gets the job done quickly), and very able to handle any homeowners outdoor painting chores.

Contacted the provider through their website. Heard nothing. I don't chase down people give them work especially if they apparently have too much.

Patrick was very professional & nice. Many delays primarily due to rain.
