Serpaco Painting

I met Nick & Kevin at my house during my lunch break for the estimate. I was impressed that they scoped out the job and provided a detailed proposal in less than 40 minutes. He provided a very competitive quote. One thing that really made Serpaco's proposal stand out was their 5 year warranty. Most others only provide a 2 year warranty. Overall, I'm very happy with how the work was done and the quality of the work. The painters did do a little damage to the landscaping but Nick resolved this to my full satisfaction. It is obvious that Nick understands the value of customer satisfaction.

He did an excellent work. When I called him for the first time he called me right away. He gave me the date and time he would show up. He came out and gave me an estimate and the date on which he would perform the service. He came out on time. He did good work and he did a clean job. He completed the work on time.

Working with Nick Serpa, owner of the company, was the best experience I have ever had with a paint company. I secured three estimates. In comparing the companies, Nick was more thorough than the other two estimators, pointing out areas that needed decayed wood replaced and giving me details on what his company would do. He made helpful suggestions such as using a satin finish and using a paint that was my best option for resolving persistent peeling problems that I have had with other paint jobs. Nick was professional and courteous. His price was in line with the other estimates. He required no up front money, and he offers a free touch up after one year, along with a 5-year warranty. After 25 years in this house, it has never looked so good. I have received many compliments from my neighbors on the appearance of the house after the job was done.

They were prompt, very professional and neat. They did an excellent job. We have very high ceilings and walls that connect at odd angles and they did a great job on the whole house. The job took 3.5 days and the team worked at a steady pace throughout. The team even came back a few days after the job was done (and paid for) to touch up the deck stain in spots where the stain had absorbed more then others. We're definitely looking forward to contacting Nick again if we have any other painting needs. Outstanding work.

Mr. Serpa called every day to let us know what would be happening. The workmen were polite and professional. He went above and beyond to find a concrete stain for our "eyebrow" pieces over the windows when their color did not match the color of the shutters. He also brought samples of two different paint colors to help make the decision on the front door color. He did a very thorough final walk through and found a few touch-up spots. Our house looks brand new again and we love the colors.

Superb job. Highly recommended. They finished close to on time (there was a North Carolina monsoon that got in the way), they did a great job! The work crew worked very hard, they showed up on time and they have no slackers on their crew. They cleaned up after themselves and left few traces they were here, except my house looks brand new. The repairs were done well, and I was kept informed every step of the way. I could not be happier. I had two very close estimates, I took this one and I am glad I did.

I called and left a message. Nick Serpaco returned my call within the hour. A few days later he came to the house and gave me a complete estimate on the spot for both exterior and interior painting as well as exterior carpentry work that needed to be done. Nick also discussed with me how he felt about the look of the current walls and exterior. What we might not paint if we wanted to control costs which we did because we are not planning to stay in the house much longer. A few weeks later I called and said we were ready to go ahead with portions of the quoted exterior project. Nick scheduled the work for a week that I wanted. Nick and the crew arrived on schedule. We reviewed what was to be done and his team did it in a timely and professional manner. After the work was done Nick came back to go over everything that had been done. His crew touched up a few spots he wasn't satisfied with and that was it. I was very pleased with the attention Nick gave to the project. He was always available if I had any questions.

Nick gave us an estimate to paint the entire interior of our home. He also discussed what he thought might not be done as we were getting ready to sell our home and didn't want to put more into it than necessary. A few weeks later I called and told him we had decided only to do the kitchen and bath. He scheduled the work for a week I selected. He and the team arrived on schedule. We reviewed what was to be done. It became obvious quickly that removing the wallpaper was going to bring down enough of the sheet rock that the walls would need to be completely mudded and sanded before painting could be done. Do to the extra work the job took longer than I had originally expected. The team stayed on the job until it was completed. When they were done Nick came and reviewed the work with me. I was extremely satisfied with the work and their desire to be sure I was satisfied.

It went extremely well. Nick kept us informed of all work that was being done, it was done promptly and efficiently. Everyone on the team was dependable and showed up when they said they would and worked hard. They did a great job.

Nick Serpa measured and installed the crown molding, and performed the job quickly and efficiently. Two painters followed him and applied two coats of green paint on the walls and a single coat of white paint on the ceiling. They painted the trim white. It was clean- and bright-looking when they were finished, and it only took them five hours to do everything -- and at the bid price. When the painters left, they removed every scrap of waste.

The man that came to give the estimate was incredibly nice and professional. They had a team of people that do the work and it took them about four days which was a little bit longer than anticipated. After they finished the work the original estimator came by and inspected the work after I had personally inspected it. I thought that the work was fine but it wasn't up to his standards so he made them redue parts of the work. Everyone was extremely polite.

They cleaned up really well. The guys were so polite and sweet. We had absolutely no problems. When we went through the final walk through they fixed a couple things we noticed. They bent over backwards to do a great job. We have them scheduled to work on the exterior in a couple of months.

They were the only ones that gave us a detailed list of what they were going to do. They did all of the work very quickly and well. I would highly recommend them.

Nick was available immediately and gave a very detailed list of the jobs to be performed. He had competitive pricing for the quality of work his crew accomplished. The total time for our project from pressure wash to completion was three days which was much faster than quoted. The crew did more than was on the list but kept the quoted price the same. The quality of their work was top-notch and I intend to use them for other projects we have such as interior paint work, deck work, and door frame replacement.

I obtained three estimates for this work, and SerpaCo's was actually the highest. However, their reputation and professionalism swayed me. The subcontractors arrived first, to clean the roof and driveway and power-wash the house. WHAT a DIFFERENCE. The roof, driveway and front walkway went from greenish black and streaky to looking NEW and bright. The next day the SerpaCo workers arrived and began replacing siding and painting. Late in the day I discovered that there was a discrepancy between the replacement boards I was expecting and what they had used. There was evidence of some other sloppy workmanship. I contacted Nick. His response was perfect. He did not question me or rationalize anything... he simply said: "I will be out there first thing tomorrow and I will see that ALL the problems are fixed." He made them take all the new boards off and replace with HardiPlank, and repaint. From then on, all the work was done to the highest professional standards and the final product was great. No payment was due until the project was complete, at which time Nick met with us to personally inspect the work and note any final details. They did a very good job, in a very reasonable amount of time, given that there was a rain delay in the middle of the project.

I called and left a message inquiring about an estimate. The owner, Nick Serpa, called me within a couple of hours, and I believe that he came that day to give me an estimate. We agreed on a start date and all work was begun as promised. His crew did a great job and showed up on time. They were very neat and I am extremely pleased with the results. Nick was very easy to work with and went to great pains for me to get what I wanted. I would recommend him and his company to anyone and would definitely use him again! This was a very good experience!

They did a really good job! They were punctual and came and did it in a timely manner. The price was reasonable. They were pleasant to work with. We were happy with the results.

Nick showed up for the estimate on time. We scheduled a start date, then realized we needed to start one week later. No problem. His crew showed up on the new start date and got right to it. My wife and I wrapped all the furniture in plastic and picked up rugs before the job. I also removed the lighting fixtures from the ceiling and taped plastic over our granite counters and maple cabinets, which helped them speed right along. No doubt about the popcorn removal, it was messy, but the crew cleaned up everything on the last day; cleaned and wiped down the hardwood floors, vacuumed all the dust, made sure the wainscoting was wiped down, made sure everything was A-OK. One task added to the estimate was to go ahead and paint the living room because it looked a little dull when the other rooms were done. All wall paint was a satin-gloss, which will show up every detail. The quality of their work was well above our expectations. One day they stayed until after 6 PM to finish up the skim coat on the ceiling so the next day they could get started right away with sanding and priming. The entire job took 4 days, which meant much less disruption than we anticipated. Great work!

I called the service for an estimate. They came out on the date and time as promised. We walked the property to discuss the work that was to be done. An estimate was provided and a date given for service to take place. The team showed up on the date promised and began the work. It took three days. They were organized, prompt and professional and completed the job on time as promised. The owner inspected the completed work with me on the date promised. A few items were missed but were corrected immediately. A few days later, I noticed a few paint stains on the driveway. I called the owner. He came by promptly and removed the stains. I was very satisfied with the work; the advice provided on the quality of paint was very helpful. I plan to use this service again

Did not hire as subsequent estimate was more than 2-3 times any other estimate for the job.

They did fairly decent work but the owner kind of rushes through jobs. The work was good, unfortunately the work was not very thorough. I wouldn't go back to them.

I found Serpaco on Angie's list. In addition to Serpaco two other painting contractors, recommended by friends, were invited to bid on the job. Nick Serpa showed up at the appointed time, listened to what I wanted and walked the house making notations on his estimation form. While he had me look at an album of pictures of his other house, he finished the estimate on the spot. The two other contractors showed up in T-shirts, made no notes, showed me no pictures of other work and said they would get back to me with estimates. After a couple of weeks the two other contractors declined to bid on the job saying that it was too difficult (meaning too high) for them to handle. Mr. Serpa had his men at the house when he said he would. He had said it would take them three days and it did. The quality of the workmanship was impeccable, the professionalism of the crew was refreshing. They cleaned up when they were finished. Mr. Serpa showed up and I asked what I owed him and he said just what the estimate specified. Good men, good work, good supervision and fair price. I was extremely well pleased. When I do the interior of my house I will certainly call on Serpaco to do the work. I highly recommend Serpaco to one and all.

The job went great. Good work. House looks really nice. Did what he said he'd do and did it very quickly, too. I was really impressed.
