Serpaco Painting

We are extremely pleased with all the work that was performed. Three Angie's List companies were called to provide quotes for the work, with Donnie (Serpaco) taking the most time to answer our questions, explain his process, warranty and paint selection. House (inside/outside) and outbuilding look bright and clean and protected. Donnie's crew of 2-3 for our job were very polite, neat and cleaned up daily.

I selected two top rated painting contractors from Angies List and got estimates from both. Although previous contractors had spray painted the house, both contractors proposed painting by brush and roller. Serpaco's estimate was the lowest by quite a large margin and was the more professional of the two proposals. Work commenced about a month later. Patrick handled our job and was extremely helpful including providing paint samples on pieces of cedar siding so we could see how the colors would actually look on our house. The only thing close to an issue throughout this process was associated with the power wash. They use a very strong bleach and the overspray left bleached spots on the front door and to a lesser extenct on a screened in deck on the rear of the house. Fortunately we have plans to paint this door anyway but some attempt should be made to prevent the overspray. Otherwise, the work was very professionaly done and looks terrific.

We are very pleased with the work and the price. We interviewed several contractors before selecting Serpaco. They were the least expensive but that's not the only reason we went with them. Daryl was very professional and the work was completed on time and on budget. I wouldn't hesitate in using them again for future painting projects.

They did an EXCELLENT job. I had my house powerwashed prior to them coming and this company did a horrible job and damaged the original paint job. Serpaco did so much better, they even did the sidewalk! The area manager, Daryl, gave a very in depth estimate. He spotted things that no one else did. He is very knowledgeable about painting and made very good suggestions. The quality of their services was exceptional. They showed up on time, worked non stop, paid attention to details and did top quality work.

Nick Serpa and his crew did a great job. They were prompt and efficient, and did all the work I needed done at a reasonable price in a surprisingly short time. They even worked on Sunday. I was very pleased with the results and I plan on using them again to seal my crawl space and do some interior painting in the near future.

Every step of through the process working with Serpaco was first class customer service.They were prompt in returning my initial call looking for a quotation and came the very same day to provide a detailed written quote.Their pricing was very competitive with other quotes received (also Angie's List providers).Once we agreed to a price and date they followed up and asked if they could come earlier as another customer's work had completed. The attention to detail was best in class and they were more critical of their work than I could have been. There were only a couple of things that needed touch up that they had missed.The crew was extremely polite, hard working and pleasant to work with. We had a couple of days where they were rained out and they worked long hours to stay on track to their commitments.The Serpaco team did a first class job on our home and we will use them again in the near future for our interior painting.

Before I called for an estimate, I researched this company on Angie's List. They are highly rated and I am sure for good reason. I met with Chris Gray and received an estimate with 2 different prices. One for a two year "standard coating system" and the other a five year "signature coating system", with a difference of about $1300. The more expensive option came with a different quality of paint, warranty, kind of prep work, plus "advantage" add-ons such as hand cleaning my gutters and changing my flood lights periodically. While I recognize that some clients may want these "advantages" and that it is a smart way to keep your company in front of previous clients, I just wanted my house painted. I didn't want to feel like I was getting a second class job just because I didn't want to buy their whole menu. I pointed this out to Chris and I got the spiel about why the signature plan is better, as expected. And I am sure they do a great job, but I was not comfortable with their system, so I chose another company.

Donnie's team did a great job. Donnie was prompt, thoughtful, comprehensive and fair in providing his initial estimate and guaranteeing his fees. His team showed up on time and worked diligently. They did a nice job selecting the color and applying the stain which was actually quite tough because they were essentially fixing a totally botched job by a previous handyman. The deck came out looking great. They replaced the screens which also look great. Great job, great value. Would use them again in a heartbeat.

They did a wonderful job. Once we got our estimate and compared it to some other companies, we knew this was the company we wanted. Their price was in the mid-range of other quotes that we received, but their price included hand painting the entire house instead of spraying and that seemed better to us. Donnie was our contact and he was very willing to compete with some of the other companies that we got estimates from. Donnie was very organized about getting everything set up to begin and let us know each day what the plans were for the day. Great communication! Once they began work, the workers were always here when they said they would be, and worked diligently all day. They were courteous and they cleaned up everything nicely at the end of each day. The overall paint job was excellent! Their attention to detail was superb. There were just a few spots that needed touching up at the end, but they did so with no problem and our home turned out beautiful! Great company and we would definitely use them again and will recommend them to all of our neighbors!

We had a great experience with Serpaco. The initial quote we received from Serpaco was much more professional and detailed than the other quote that we got for job and the quotes for the exterior work was pretty much identical in cost. The crews showed up as scheduled for the carpentry work, pressure washing and then painting. The gentleman contracting the carpentry work for Serpaco did a good job and even worked Saturday and Sunday to get most of his work done prior to the date for pressure wash/painting to begin. The crew doing the pressure wash/paint prep and painting did a great job as well. They worked quickly and seemed to do quality work from top to bottom. I even saw one of the guys putting a coat of paint on the hooks we use for hanging plant baskets on the front porch. We were very pleased with all aspects of the work that Serpaco did for us. The final cost for the exterior work was a little higher than the quote due to some unseen rot needing repaired but this was nothing excessive. The interior work went just as well as the exterior. The same crew did the interior and exterior work. The final result looks really good and I believe the crew even put a coat of paint on most of the trim in our kitchen even though that wasn't part of the quote. My only concern out of all of the work done is one small crack repair in the drywall near our staircase. I think it could have been done a little better and I'm almost certain that if I asked Patrick, the Serpaco supervisor about it that he'd have it taken care of again. I'll wait and see if it holds up at this point. Overall, I don't think that we could be more pleased with the end result and will definitely recommend Serpaco to friends and neighbors when the opportunity arises.

The crew showed up on time and worked hard to complete the job before my new carpet went in. I was disappointed in the quality of the work. Apparently the original drywall job was poor and the seams were far from perfect, so I understand that the seams did not look good, but there were many areas where there were gouges, and rough spots that should have been sanded out. I had to have them come back to make repairs and they left after doing just a few spots. When I spoke to the crew's supervisor, he blamed it on the bad original drywall work and said that for a lot more money they could make it look much better. I hung up. I ended up spending another $1500 to have the whole job (minus popcorn removal) redone and now the ceilings look great - even the seams are much improved.

The job went very smoothly. The painters showed up on time, worked diligently and when the job was complete they cleaned up after themselves. I had no issues or complaints and would recommend this company for exterior house painting.

Several estimates were obtained for this work, and the estimate provided by Serpaco Painting was very competitive with the others. I was impressed with Nick when he came out to give me the estimate, and he was very helpful in answering questions that I had and made recommendations based upon my goals and the condition of the house. My decision to go with Serpaco Painting for this job was based on price, the professionalism exhibited by Nick and his knowledge and extensive experience and attention to detail, and the large number of good reviews on Angie's List and additional ones provided by the company. The crew was very pleasant and worked diligently and efficiently for approximately 1 week until the job was completed. They worked very long days during the week and one Saturday. The house was first pressure washed, and then the carpentry work was done to replace a few pieces of wood that had sustained some water damage. They painted the exterior trim, siding, shutters, and front door. Nick kept me informed about how things were going along the way, and he was very responsive and returned phone calls quickly. On the last day, Nick and I did a walk around, and we spotted a few very minor things that were easily taken care of (for instance, some caulk needed to be swept off of the roof). The crew cleaned up their work area every day, and at the completion of the job there was no evidence that they had been there at all other than the beautifully painted house. I couldn't have been more pleased with the work that this company did. I would definitely hire this company again, and I highly recommend them.

Nick responded quickly to my request for an estimate. After we chose his company, he and the crew were able to start on our project the next week. Our first floor ceilings needed to be painted following a recent kitchen remodel, and I decided to also have the crown moldings done, as well as the upstairs bathroom ceilings. What should have been a pretty straightforward project became more difficult when we discovered that the kitchen ceiling had been repaired incorrectly following some electrical work performed during the remodel. Nick had Marcos and his team prep the ceiling correctly, then prime and paint. They were able to finish the whole job in one day, which worked well with my schedule. Unfortunately, we found that whatever the first company had sealed the first repairs with could not be covered with latex primer, so several darker spots still showed through the paint. Nick had the crew come out again, and they primed the whole ceiling with oil-based primer before painting again. They finished in one day, and the ceiling looks much better. Nick and his crew were great to work with, and he really seemed to care about how the job turned out instead of just how quickly the job was done. They did their best to correct the mistakes that the drywall repairman made, even though it involved doing all the work twice. I really appreciate Nick's desire to get it right, and I would highly recommend his company to anyone.

They did a really good job. There was a miscommunication about the paint color and brand for the trim. The workmen were smart enough to realize that it was the wrong color trim. The next day, they were back with the appropriate paint, and they finished the job. Two weeks later, we noticed that there was an issue on a door, and they came back to fix that, too.

We need some rooms repainted so I quoted multiple painters mostly on Angie's list. I had originally quoted exterior and interior work but decided due to the weather to just do the interior since there was siding work that was needed. The interior scope includes 2 coats of paint on wall (white to beige) and trim (change to lighter color) in 4 rooms, a ceiling in one room, a stairwell, and all connected closets. Patrick came out on a Saturday to look over the job. He took measurements and later sent in the quote. On the exterior work, he did extra work to look for a better price on the siding work. After some time reviewing the quotes and deciding not to do the exterior we ended up selecting Serpaco. His quote was competitive with the others, very professional, and the quote was more straightforward. The quote sheet showed the work in a more organized manner than most others so it was clear what was included and not included. He also provided options on number of coats, etc. The job took four days with the work finishing on a Saturday. The crew showed up promptly each day, were very quiet while working (no blarring music, loud talking or other annoying behavior), and did a very professional job. They cleaned up each day before they left and did a good job protecting the carpet and furniture in the room during the entire project. Patrick visited and evaluated the work at least 1 to 2 times to verify the quality of the work and discuss with the crew of any challenges (like getting the paint to cover the darker trim). He also did some touch up work himself on a couple spots that did not look right plus left some spare paint. We were pleased with Serpaco.

Nick Serpa runs a highly professional company. The estimate was not the lowest I received, but the price seemed fair to me given the thoroughness of the work performed. The team arrived on time and was courteous.

The overall experience was outstanding! Nick, the owner, and his crew were very professional in every way from doing the estimate through completion. We needed the work done before we moved in and were on a strict timeline with coordinating the movers and carpet installers and so forth. They were able to complete the work sooner than we expected in less than seven days even with a couple of changes we asked for during the process. They were always on time. They were courteous. They were always available and willing to answer any questions or concerns. Everything turned out great and made the stress of buying a home and moving a lot easier.

Nick responded quickly to our request for an estimate. He willing discussed all our options, types of paint and stain, wear, warrenty and what siding was going to have to be replaced. When the estimate came we were a little shocked at the price, we had always done it ourselves but his costs were in line with the other estimates and his references were glowing. The crew he sent out here to do the work were respectfull and worked quickly. Nick called on Friday to ask if the crew could work on Saturday. I told him that was fine as long as they didn't start before 9am. They also wanted to work the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving, I approved those days. We had family visitig that had brought their dogs with them and I had to call Nick first thing early Saturday morning to see if I could cancel work for that day. The dogs are very protective of my daughter that they had a hard time keeping them calm and controlled on Friday. Nick said it would not be a problem. When the work was finished Nick came out and we walked around the house (there were just a couple drips I wanted cleaned up and a corner around the garage door to be caulked) he pointed out a couple spots so small I never saw them. The painters came out that morning and took care of them right away. They are also going to come back to paint a door and trim that we are having replaced but that could not be scheduled early enough to be done all at once.
