He did a really good job. He was on time. He cleaned up after himself. We were very pleased with him.

I can't believe this level of customer service is available, absolutely terrific. We received 3 quotes and selected Ross based on price and perception of quality. From providing and honoring the quote to showing up on time, to taking the time to make sure colors matched properly (no easy task for this job) to cleaning up after he was done; Ross was OUTSTANDING. I work in a customer service oriented industry and for the first time felt as if I got treated better than my customers do, A first in 30 years. This is also no doubt a testiment to the power of feedback provided through Angies List as we reviewed feedback carefully as part of deciding who to have quote our job. I could not be happier.....

We received multiple quotes for this project. Our neighborhood has had problems with not being able to remove the wallpaper without destroying the wallboard. Ross was not the highest nor lowest quote. He assured us that he could do a good job of painting over the wallpaper. He was very responsive in estimating since we added additional jobs after starting the project. Ross had another man with him and they were very professional. They worked over a 4 day period and cleaned up after themselves each time. The results were fantastic. We have looked and looked and cannot find a wallpaper seam anywhere! Ross recommended a special paint for the trim and it was well worth it. The ceiling repair work was excellent as well. They taped everywhere which resulted in crisp, straight lines throughout. This is a hardworking man who takes pride in his work. Thank you Ross!

I contacted Ross and left a message with what I wanted done. He called back promptly and arranged a time to come give an estimate. The estimate was done quickly and was received in a timely manner. Once I accepted his offer, Ross was very willing to work with my complicated schedule. He came out on a Saturday and did a FABULOUS job. My carpet install job had run over and Ross was very flexible with his choice of where to begin so that the carpet installers could get finished and out of the way. This was an absolutely outstanding job and I can't say enough wonderful things about Ross and how he approached/completed the job. My rooms and stairs look amazing. Ross even went above and beyond the call of duty to help me capture and remove a small bird that had gotten in my kitchen (a result of the carpet installers - not Ross). I joined Angie's List specifically to find someone to paint these rooms. I feel that I found a gem and have asked Ross to give an estimate on another project. You won't find a better painter than Ross Tait! CALL HIM!!

His co-worker took a screw out of my new cabinet and didn’t put the door back properly. My cabinet maker had to come back and fit it properly. Though this was not Ross’ fault, he was responsible for it. He did not correct it. He did a great job otherwise.

We had Ross come in and give us an estimate, room by room, so that we could compare it to other estimates we had received. Ross painted a small bathroom and a utility room first so that we could gauge the quality and speed of his work. We were very satisfied with this work and asked him to paint a 2-story hallway, 2-story living room, kitchen, another bathroom and utility room, and two bedrooms.

Ross spent one and a half days to complete the work. Day One, he prepared the room for painting. He arrived punctually and worked quietly for a few hours. Day Two, he came at 8:00 as we expected and started painting trim. He then went to get paint. In order to make sure that he would get the right kind of paint, he made a few trips between the paint shop and our home. He could not talk to us by phone as we were working in the yard that day. We heard no complaint about his having to make the trips. After putting on the first coat of paint, he checked with us if we were sure of our choice of the colors. The walls looked great when he completed the work. He left after cleaning the room completely and told us about what to do with the empty paint cans. We were very happy with his work. Several days later, we found out that our ground phone line was not working and we thought a telephone outlet Ross had hidden and painted over was likely the cause of the problem. We called him and he was willing to help us solve the problem. He made a total of five (short) visits to our house to fix the problem, which was probably created due to the old quality of the phone cords that he pushed into the hall of the telephone outlet. He did not do anything wrong, but he corrected the problem without any extra charge or any complaint. We were impressed with his professional spirit.

Overall, the experience was very good. Ross Tait was able to come to my house and provided an estimate within a few days of my contacting him. We arranged a date/time to begin the job. There was a concern with the brand of paint being available the evening before Ross was to begin painting and so he contacted me with an alternative. Ross came with an assistant and both were punctual and professional. They took great care in prepping my house to minimize tracking. They also moved the larger pieces of furniture. While painting the walls, Ross noticed that a six-inch section of joint tape near the apex of the catherdral ceiling in the great room was loose. He asked if he could do a quick repair, and did so. The two painters worked efficiently and the work performed was excellent. I was pleasantly surprised that the job was done so quickly. Since the work's completion, it is very nice to look up at where wall-meets-ceiling at a beautifully straight line demarcation. Two notes: 1. Because Ross and I decided on a different - and more expensive - paint than that he had quoted, the cost was $15 higher than the estimate. I agreed to this before the work started. 2. As a DIY-show watcher, I was happy as I watched Adolpho - Ross's assistant - wrap and then unwind painters' tape from the paint roller to de-lint it before beginning work. Nice detail!

Ross and his team were professional from start to finish, did the work in the estimated time and tidied up after themselves. Ross kept in touch each evening as to how the job was going and his plan for the next day. The weather did not cooperate for the final deck stain day. I was nervous about attempting it, based on weather reports and suggested to Ross that he should wait. Ross' information suggested a 20% chance of rain but he assured me that if it did, he would fix any issues. Unfortunately it did rain onto the newly applied stain and caused it to go blotchy in many places. Ross was true to his word, he called regularly to keep in touch and came back to reapply the stain to the deck when the weather improved. He also bought and replaced an outside bulb that had come off during the painting. I have no hesitation in recommending him.

This is the 3rd time we have used Ross and couldn't be happier. Ross is the ultimate professional. His punctuality is much appreciated, as we both have busy schedules. He quoted us very fairly, arrived as scheduled, did a great job and finished on time. Ross and his crew moved all furniture, painted, cleaned up and replaced furniture. He stayed in contact each day and was available for questions. The entire process was a wonderful experience. We will be using Ross for future projects in our home!

Other than some miscommunication (mine mostly) over when he could start, I was very pleased with Ross's work and price. He arrived when he said he would, finished the job promptly and didn't leave a mess. I've passed his name along to friends, I'm planning on using him again when we re-do our bedroom. Very pleasant to work with.

We called Ross for an estimate and he returned the call within only a few hours. We arranged a time for him to come to the house. He called the morning of the appointment to confirm and arrived promptly at the scheduled time. Ross followed up with an emailed estimate, as well as a phone call. We agreed to schedule the work and he was available at the end of the week. Ross and his assistant, Andreas, arrived promptly (again!!) and got right to work. Both rooms had a considerable amount of crown molding and trim to work around, not to mention the fact that we were painting in vibrant colors, so attention to detail was very important. Ross is very professional, courteous and prompt. They left our home clean, which was highly appreciated! Both rooms look spectacular and we couldn't be more pleased! We have more painting to be done, and won't hesitate to have Ross do it. Overall, it was an A+ experience!!

Perfect! Attention to detail was super. No mess, worked around our schedule and with minimal disruption to the household while work was going on. Punctual and pleasant at all times. Even did some extra trim work that was not in the estimate. Highly recommended!

Ross was extremely personable and professional. Although this was a small job, he gave me the same courtesy and consideration as if I had a larger scope of work. He was on time and communicative. I especially liked (and the reason I hired him) that he was the person to both quote the job and to do the work himself. As a young mom with a small child at home, it was important for me to meet the person who would be working at my home before I hired them. Often, one person comes to quote the job and then you meet the people that do the work when they show up at your door. I was very comfortable with Ross and trusted him to do a great job, which is exactly what he did!

Over the years, we've used many painters, but none better than Ross Tait. He is competent, professional, reliable and completely trustworthy. We highly recommend him and will be using his services anytime we need help in the future.

Not well. We chose Ross Tait from among several bidders primarily because of the reviews on Angie's List. So we were surprised that our results were so unsatisfactory. Walls were lumpy and paint began peeling within a day's time of completion. To his credit, Ross was very concerned about our dissatisfaction and refunded most of the money we'd paid. We think Ross knows how to do a good job from discussions with him. We are not sure what happened here but we think that Ross may have underestimated the cost of the job and then rushed to get through it. We do know that there was more damage to wallboard than expected and he skimmed over wet walls, then painted two coats of paint in much less time than the recommended waiting period. What Ross SHOULD have done when he discovered it was going to take him more time than he'd thought was discuss options with us. We were going on vacation at the end of the week so he could have a) charged us for the wallpaper removal only and let us finish the job when we returned from vacation, or b) let the walls dry and do the job the way he said it should be done "if you have enough time", finishing after we returned from vacation. It has taken us nearly two months to recover and at one point we thought we were going to have to gut the room entirely because paint would not stick to the walls. It has also cost us nearly twice what we initially paid to Ross. I told Ross there would be no report on Angie's List but have decided to make one only to let Ross and his potential customers know that communication is essential when problems occur, as they can with any type of work. We learned a lot during the recovery, so much so that we will not hire anyone to do this kind of work in our house again. This has been a dreadful experience but it will not happen again.

Ross came by to give us a quote and was helpful in giving us information on what types of paint and what finishes would work best. He gave us an estimate later that day. We contracted him after we chose the paint colors and he arrived on-time and was finished by the time we got home from work that day. They did a very good and professional job. They cleaned up after themselves extremely well and we are completely pleased with the work done. I am an extremely picky guy, and for me to be satisfied takes a lot. My only complaint would be that the paint fumes were strong so I had to put the kids in other rooms to sleep for two nights. My fault for not anticipating and asking for an ultra-low odor or VOC paint. The old sliced onions in the room trick helped reduce the odor quite a bit on day three, though. Overall I was extremely pleased with Ross' work and I would definitely recommend him to my friends and he would be my first call if I needed a painter in the future.

He was good and dependable. He showed up when he was suppose to and I was happy with the results. His price was lower than other quotes I got.

Even our handyman commented on the work of the painting Ross Tait did. I felt very comfortable with him - he was very kind. I definitely will use him again.

We had a tight schedule and Ross was able to complete almost all the work in one week. The work was excellent and he was very neat. We are very pleased with the job he did and would highly recommend him.
