Description of Work: Interior - Repaired some holes left in drywall (approximately 10 of them) made by plumber that replaced water lines. Exterior - Repaired and painted all exterior trim (including door/window frames).

Description of Work: The wood had rotted on my two long windows in the back. Chris came and looked at them and explained what he thought could be done to fix them. I had purchased a "big deal" from him and he was able to complete all the work necessary within that price range. He was very professional. I would use him in the future.

Description of Work: Had rotten wood around window. ended up with a whole new window. Whole process took about 6 weeks.way too long.

Description of Work: Leon Home Repair came to repair some wood rot on our back deck. They also provided a thorough assessment and found several other areas in need of repair. Once they got under the wood to remove it they found that part of our screen in porch roof had been damaged due to water incursion and also provided a fair estimate for the repair and were able to fix this problem on the spot as well. The crew was very professional, timely and courteous. Their work was done well.

Description of Work: Chris Leon came to the house to see what types of repair I needed and there were lots of varied tasks. The deal included 2 hours of consultation. He told me what could be accomplished within the 40 hours of work and therefore I chose repair of water damage to my 4- season room . This included removing the water-damaged sheetrock from the entire wall as the original installers had not put in a moisture barrier at installation. The laminate flooring and liners were removed as well as they had mold (mildew?) in them as well. The areas were treated with a commercial grade bleach (?) to kill the mold and left to dry to ensure the mold was gone. They installed new sheetrock with a vapor barrier, replaced insulation and painted the wall. I believe that plaster was applied to the wall before painting. Porcelain tile and grouting was installed to replace the laminate. Baseboards were replaced and painted..The room looks so different with the lighter tile rather than the darker laminate. It looks as if the room has just been built. As the walk through did not use up all of the consultation, Chris met me at Lowes to assist me in selecting a color and size of tile that would work with the remainder of the room. He and his crew picked the tiles up for me and other materials they needed to complete the room. Not being a handyman, I didn't know what other materials would be needed.

Description of Work: Chris came to give us a quote for some wood rot on our chimney. When giving us the quote, he mentioned that until he was able to get behind the wood rot he wouldn't be able to determine if there was any further damage.. Once he was able to remove the rotten piece he was determined there was further damage. Chris made it a point to make sure I saw the damage so I could see first hand and not just take his word for it. He and his crew worked diligently and very focused on getting all the repairs done in a timely manner and with excellent results.

Description of Work: Front entry door rebuild threshold, jam, trims and crown molding top. Scrape, sand and paint. Also, install new piece of treated garage door. Caulk and paint.

Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal for the services. I had him to repair a deck that I had a post that was rotted and around windows on the second floor of my home.

Description of Work: Over the years, water had seeped through an outdoor porch (tile over concrete) on our house built in the 1930s, resulting in rotting floor joists under the porch. The porch was slowly sinking and was on the way to collapse. The concrete was very heavy, especially after taking on water over the years. The porch cut into the footprint of the house ground floor, such that the porch was directly under a bedroom and directly over a basement room. The rotted floor joists under the porch were just above the ceiling of the basement room. I was very nervous about walking on the porch. Chris Leon and his other workman demolished and removed the tile and concrete porch floor, then removed and replaced the rotted floor joists They removed some load-bearing columns on the porch and replaced them with jacks during the process, then put the columns back. Above the new floor joists.they built a new floor for the porch with some kind of waterproof Hardie board, then installed outdoor tile on the porch. In the basement, part of the ceiling had to be removed to get access to the floor joists. After the joists were fixed the contractor removed the rest of the basement ceiling and put in a sheetrock ceiling, They also put in a plywood soffit enclosing some heating pipes which ran along the edge of the ceiling. Finally, painted the basement ceiling and soffit. It all looked very nice.

Description of Work: We purchased an Angie's List Deal that was $149 for 6 hours of wood rod restoration/repair. We had one specific area at our garage door jam and nearby siding that needed to be repaired/replaced. We also had several other items on our to-do list of small repairs around the house to get it ready to put on the market. Chris looked at all the areas we needed tended to and provided a labor estimate for each area/item discussed. We scheduled a date to do the main repair at the garage (had to reschedule due to rain), and then Chris's brother, Edison, came out the next week on the rescheduled date to do the garage/siding repair. I also had him look at a few other things for his opinion (leaking faucet, tub faucet separating slightly from wall). Edison completed the garage wood rot and siding repair/replacement including painting with our left over exterior paint and asked if I wanted to get anything else done on our list of estimated items. So he went ahead and cleaned out the gutters, even putting back up one piece that had fallen down a few months back, and securing it. He also re-caulked/sealed the bathtub faucet I had mentioned to him earlier that morning. As he was wrapping up everything and cleaning up, I happened to be spreading 5 yards of mulch around the yard and he offered to help with that as well. I did not take him up on it, but certainly appreciated the offer. A rainstorm came through that evening and the gutters worked well (before he cleaned, we literally had plants growing in some of the gutters, blocking flow), even the one piece he put back up for us remained in tact. The garage jam and siding look great. Very satisfied with the level of workmanship and professionalism. The response time to phone messages could be a bit better, which is why I gave a B in that area. I put a B for pricing, as I really don't have a comparison for this particular type of work to know how competitive it is - but since the work done so far is very good, we're happy to have them complete our other repair needs. We are in the process of scheduling the other area we want to complete, including replacement of some siding on the other side of the house and fascia/soffit areas needing repair.

Description of Work: I hired Leon's to repair what I thought was dry rot to a set of double hung patio doors. There had been water damage to the wall, floor and door areas but no dry rot. Work was done to replace subfloor and the doors themselves, including istallation and painting. I was very pleased with the final result.

Description of Work: Leon Home Repairs completely redid our master bathroom. They demolished and removed all of the existing tile, created a new shower, painted, and replaced all of the faucets and old plumbing in our 14 year old tub. Additionally, they installed a closet rod, refinished the front doors, installed kitchen sink faucett, garbage disposal, powder room toilet and cabinet.

Description of Work: The quality of the work was very good, but the service took more than 2 weeks to perform- there was never more than 1 person scheduled to work on the job which drew the process out much longer than anticipated-also, the cost ended up being 30-40% higher than I was originally quoted
