Leon Home Repairs

The company was very responsive, and got back to me in a timely fashion. Due the company's busy schedule, I was not able to get an appointment that worked with my schedule.

Leon Home Repair (LHR) arrived on time with one adult worker (Mr. Leon) and a teenage assistant. I showed them the wood in need of replacement, and they went to work on it. There was a language barrier, as neither was fluent in English, but rather Spanish. They had 1/2" scrap wood with them, so they made good progress replacing the rotted sections. Two hours into the job, Mr. Leon showed me a piece of fascia trim that needed replacement, and offered to paint the entire soffit for "$60 an hour". I asked how many hours at $60/hour, and was told they would "get it done in two hours". As I had bought the Angie's List Coupon for 5 hours work for $150 ($30/hour), I thought it a little bit high (as all the teenager did was paint). Since they were already there, and it required painting off a ladder, I OK'd the extra work. Mr. Leon left the teenager to paint and went off for 30+ minutes to get the piece of trim. When he returned, together they finished painting and cleaning up over the two hours I OK'd. I inspected the work and was satisfied with what they did. I paid Mr. Leon in cash, $120, for the extra 2 hours, + a cash tip. Mr. Leon wanted $75 for materials, which was high for 1/2" scrap wood, a piece of trim, some nails, and some caulk (I supplied the paint), but I paid him the $75. He went back to his van, loaded up, and I went to close the gate to my yard. Mr. Leon then came back to my front door saying that I hadn't given him enough money, and demanded another $120. He claimed that his rate was $60/hour PER PERSON. I told him he was crazy if he thought I was going to pay $60/hour PER PERSON when he was gone for over a half hour, and for a teenager to paint house trim. Ultimately, I gave him an additional $40 total. I asked for a receipt for the job. He said that he would "mail it to me", as he had "no receipts left". (Yep, I never got that receipt). I do not recommend this contractor, and I will not use his services again.

Communication was excellent. They showed up on time, explained exactly what would be done and performed the repairs. Quality of work was great, and they cleaned up quickly and thoroughly. I will use them again- soon.

He's low with the prices and he did good work.

Chris and his workers were very professional, trustworthy, on time, and hardworking. From previous experience with other contractors, they did not start the job and leave us hanging while they finished another job. Chris said the job would be completed in three weeks and finished within a few days of the estimated time. The quality of work performed was excellent and they wanted to please on every level of requests. I would definitely recommend and use them again.

I purchased a big deal for them on Angie's List .They are good. They did a good job. The big deal was for $149. We had to pay for wood. I don’t remember how much; it wasn’t much. His price covered labor. They were professional, and they did quick work. It looked good afterwards. They responded well and they seemed to know what they were doing. They kept working, and they got it done. I am hoping to use them again in the future.

After a lot of back and forth emails on setting a date, they came out on time and did very good work in the time agreed upon, am still waiting on a quote to do other repairs to the house. I am willing to work with them again.

They did a fantastic job and completed everything with time left over. They even offered to paint what they replaced and completed this as well. Communication was great.

When I scheduled the appointment it was for a date much later than I had hoped for, but I'm glad I waited. The service provided by Dimas and Tony is unmatched. They arrived right on time and went right to work. We are extremely satisfied with the work. Dimas is the more experienced of the 2 guys. He knew exactly what he was doing. He communicated to us well about what he was doing and made good suggestions. Before the busy left they did a great job cleaning up. I would definitely recommend them.

They were quick, effective and professional

I bought a Big Deal for $150, hoping to have the rot around my slider fixed. I mentioned to the two fellows if they had time, maybe they could frame in an access door under my deck as well. They repaired all the rot, made an entire door for the access panel, and even repaired a hole in the wood paneling inside! When done, everything was painted, all trash picked up, and I only had to pay for materials! They were professional, on-time and finished in the time allowed. .

They couldn't perform the service until the first week of June and I am looking to get my house on the market before then. He was very nice and professional but I was not able to use them in this situation. I will keep them in mind for the future.

Service was professional, prompt, and completed to our satisfaction. Rotted wood was removed, new wood put in and painted, and everything looks great. No complaints, and would recommend Leon Home Repairs and use again.

We have a rental property that had been abused by the previous tenants. I called Chis Leon with a large punch list of repairs. He gave me a fair quote and was able to get working on it almost immediately. I was doing the inside painting myself and kept finding new items to add to his list. Chris was fantastic to work with. Very responsive and finished in a timely manner.

They were delayed coming by one day due to the weather. They did a great job for everything except the masonry work. I had stone loose on my fire place and a brick loose on my outside chimney. Both repairs the repairs were not perfect. The Boulder on the fireplace is not straight and the brick on the fire place is not flush with the other bricks. The guys that came were very professional and respectful. The price was reasonable.

I can't remember what they did and I can't give the details. I can't recall the price and I don't have any basis for comparison. I have already used their service again.

Part of it went okay and other part of it was not so good. There were two things that they fixed: one was wood rot at the back of the house and then wood rot on the side of the house. The windows at the back were fine. Two different people did the windows and the quality was different between the two people. The pricing was very good. They were very good on responsiveness.

Leon's crew picked up door at Lowe's and delivered to my home. As soon as they arrived, crew went straight to work and continued until work was complete. Crew was very polite, thoughtful and professional. After installation of door, worker asked if I had paint to touch up the new wood used to repair bottom of entry way. Crew cleaning deck after finishing. Cost of service was very reasonable. Glad to finally find a company that I can rely on for an good job and not be taken advantage of. I will definitely use Leon's Home Repairs in the future.

Chris was very professional and so were the guys who work for him. I am VERY satisfied with how my den looks now, and yes, I would use Leon's Home Repair again. This is the 2nd time I've used this company and it won't be my last. GREAT company!!

It was fine. They came out within a couple of weeks after we purchased the big deal. I do not quite remember if they charged us anything extra on top of the big deal price because that was a while ago but I think that the wood that they got was all included in the deal. The only thing that I had reservation about was how they left the little strip of aluminum which I think is called a grip strip. They left the piece that was there and they had chipped it up a bit when they removed the rotted stuff and they did not replace that. That was the only thing that I was not overly crazy about. Their pricing was also okay. It was quite a while and I have trouble remembering much about it.

I bought Angie's big deal for five hours of wood rot repair. Chris Leon came out to see what needed to be replaced and sent me an estimate for $800.00. They came out as scheduled, worked efficently and cleaned up the work area. I had to call him back because he forgot to replace the trim board above the door. He took care of that within a few days. Once the work was complete he informed me there would be a 3% fee for a credit card payment. I the future I will find a highly rated service provider that does not charge an additional credit card fee.

It went exceptionally well. The weather did not cooperate so the project took longer than originally planned, but that could not be helped. Chris Leon and his entire crew were very courteous and professional. They arrived promptly/on-time when they said they would. Although the Angie's List category for this business is "Handymen", I believe it could be better classified under "Home Repair and Renovation".

It took about a month for them to come out, but that wasn't really an issue for me. In addition, they did a good job with the repairs.
