We did have a couple communication issues. One, I didn't get contacted about scheduling changes when the weather turned cold. Two, was between the guy who came out to talk with me and the actual crew of painters. The color of steps was miscommunicated. The crew fixed it that day, so no problem.

I received a quote to paint the entire interior of a home I had just purchased, including up to 4 colors and trim. I also had them remove the popcorn ceiling and added painting all the doors. I sent my 20% deposit via mail 1 week prior to beginning the job. On Day One, I walked through the job with the supervisor and we agreed that flat paint would be best in all rooms except baths and kitchen, where egg-shell would be used because of moisture. Ceilings and closets were to be flat white, and trim semi-gloss white. As I was getting ready to go back to work the Supervisor then asked if he could get the deposit check…and the story goes downhill from here. I explained that I mailed it over a week ago, but apparently it never got delivered or they lost it, so I wrote another check and went on my way. Day 2 I stop by to see how things are going to discover the Master Bedroom was painted the wrong color...it was supposed to be flat gray with 1 flat blue accent wall…I got all egg-shell blue. Called the Supervisor, he said he would take care of it. Came back the next day and gray was on three walls and one wall blue…still egg-shell. Two days later came back and ended up marking 50 places where the flat gray was egg-shell…basically every door frame, wall switch, wall outlet was painted egg-shell gray and the rest of the wall was flat gray…it looked very odd. In the baths, some areas were flat, while others were egg-shell, and the trim was flat white…should have been semi-gloss. The accent wall in the Living Room was egg-shell…should have been flat. Called the Supervisor and he had a crew come out and “take care of it”. After they were supposedly done the Supervisor was nowhere to be found…I called him and I was told he couldn’t to the final walk-through because he was “busy watching paint dry” at another location. I just gave the check to the workmen and sent them on their way…what should have been a 30-minute walk through ended up costing me a half-day off work. Today, when getting ready to replace a light fixture I discovered they painted around it…didn’t bother to remove the 2 screws and paint behind it like they did everywhere else in the house…now I have a nasty 2-inch halo of old color surrounding my new lamp fixture. I also discovered they replaced every light and outlet cover upside down, so I had to go around and remove and reset 25 covers. Not a big deal, but just another thing that shouldn’t have happened. I’ve waited a week for a follow-up customer service call from the company to explain all this, but no call every came, hence this review.

Did a great job painting, only issue was having to clean up after them. The fixtures were all down and both bathtubs had specks of paint in them from them cleaning off brushes.

Salesman John M. should have told me I needed to go to Sherwin Williams to select my paint colors. I was waiting for Express Yourself Paint to advise what my color choices were. Wasted some time on that. Would have liked more specifics from Jason on the schedule of painting - when kitchen cupboards would be painted - when all the walls were to be painted. Rain & damp weather delayed some of the project.
