Description of Work: Painted living room with cathedral ceilings----hallways---kitchen |I picked the paint color and they came in and painted and the job they did was great---patched and painted and cleaned up and they were gone. Great job I was so happy and the crew was very nice needless to say they get an A+ from me.

Description of Work: They showed up 15 minutes late without calling. The walls were painted well, but paint was dripped all over trim. They did not fix on their own, and honestly I cannot believe they did not notice it. I had to call the owner to get them to come back and fix it. They did come back the next day to fix the job. I guess you get what you pay for.

I contracted with CertPro Painters (Raleigh) in Mar. 2014 and to date I am still waiting for repairs to piece of furniture they damaged. Oil plug-in put on furntiure piece resulting in the finish being "eaten off." Workers scratched areas on hardwood floor and took nearly 3 months to get someone out to repair scratches. Basiclly all the floor person did was put stainer on the scratches, after my 2 1/2 to 3 month wait. The scratches are still visible and will wear over time. Floors not quite a year old and no hard sole shoes worn in my home. So yes, I'm not happy and mainly it's because of the way things have been handled...or the lack thereof. I'd spoken with manager (Bob) and owner (Kirk) and still nothing on the furniture damage until I contact company's Liability carrier. Flooring and funriture companies were always busy or out of town. I decided to take another route to get my home back in order. While filing liability claim with their carrier, Bob, CertaPro rep./manager calls me on another line. Too coincidental for me. This non-responsiveness and lengthy time lapse between communication has somehow rolled over to their Liability carrier. It has taken them approximately 18-21 days to get back with me after my initial conversation with the claims adjuster. She informed me that she had been told floor boards were replaced..., absolutley not!!!!!!!!!! This is still an on going saga. Hopefully resolution is in the near future. Thus the Overall score..."D." Punctuality returning calls and actually closing out my account, they get an "F." The workers were there on time for the job. However, since the company received their payment things have gone down hill. I'd planned another paint project, but not with this company.

Description of Work: Used the Angie's Big Deal for 2 painters for a day for $399. Wanted to paint 2 rooms, a hallway and trim, so there were additional charges. Pricing for this seemed a little steep since I calculated 25.5 hours were spent in total, 16 of which were covered by the Big Deal -- yet the total was almost double the Big Deal. After estimate, there was some delay in starting work due to some miscommunications at their office. First pair of painters were OK, but were a bit sloppy with the trim, didn't seem to put enough paint on some parts of one of the rooms, and taped the floor covers directly to the hardwoods with regular tape, resulting in some lifting of the finish in small spots. On walk-thru, these issues were noticed and there was no argument or hassle to get them corrected. A new pair of painters was sent, and everything was fixed for a top notch paint job. While my impressions were not good at first, the effort to 'make things right' improved my overall impression of CertaPro, so much so I would use them in the future.

Description of Work: I was pleased with the work. The staff was professional and on time. They spent the first day covering my furniture and belonging and prepping my walls. They made sure the paint properly covered even if an extra coat was needed. The site manager stopped by to make sure I was satisfied with the work before it was finished. They warranty their work which was a plus. I would use them again.

Description of Work: We had scheduled twice to have the work done, and both times the painter cancelled. It set back our home improvement schedule by a month.

Description of Work: I purchased the coupon to get a few rooms painted, about 5 hours work total. They contacted me to understand scope of work. I painted the rooms a different color only 6 months ago alone and it took me 1 day. A very nice young lader came in to look around, took pictures and measured, then basically told me it would be over $1200 to do the work and that it would take several coats and maybe a couple days, but they would make sure I was happy with the work. I showed them the room I painted last weekend upstairs, which took me two hours. They complimented me on the work and precision. The point here is that I needed some help to ready my home for sale and they took advantage of my situation by overpricing the job outragously. Either they didn't want to do the work, or they felt it wouldn't make them money. Either way, they will not be doing the work and I will not be recommending them to anyone.

Description of Work: Requested CertaPro to provide and estimate for interior painting (walls, trim and ceiling) in two bedrooms and a bath prior to a move in date less than a week away. The rooms had minor water damage on the walls and ceilings and had wallpaper borders that needed to be removed. The salesman spent a lot of time paying attention to the details of my request and trying to work out an affordable plan. The estimate for all the work was more than I could afford, (but I knew from past experience with CertaPro that the work would be high quality). I decided to limited the work to painting the walls and ceiling of the two bedrooms and held off on painting the bathroom and the trim in the bedrooms. The work was performed on the date requested, with the paint requested and was as expected very high quality.
