Kirt came out to the house, got all the particulars, we already had our colors picked out from Sherman Williams. Went over with us what they will and will not do (that was a joke)! My husband and I packed up all my knick-knacks, moved them upstairs out of the way. Dave took all the nails, hooks and curtain rods out of the walls, removed all switch plates. Also, moved smaller furniture upstairs! Picked up all throw rugs. Asked Kirt about the wood blinds, no problem we'll cover those. Asked us which bathroom his workers could use? We stated the main bath only!! I stayed in a motel the whole time, too much stress for me! Dave would be back here daily to watch the workers. No offense to Mexicans, but of the 4...only 1 spoke broken English! Communication was hard. They didn't even have the proper ladders, they borrowed Dave's! They stood on top of my upright washer and dryer to paint in the laundry, that had to be replaced! They stood on top of the toilet seat in the main bath, that had to be replaced! They used the toilet in master bath (wasn't suppose to), how did I know? Urine, I'm the only one who uses this bath room!! Did not have proper floor covering, there was paint and caulking in the rug...various places! Paint spatters on my wood blinds and white sills! Paint spatters on white crown molding in dining room! Paint on floor and molding several places throughout the house! Runs in the paint throughout! They didn't even have to paint any of the closets, we did those ourselves! Kirt didn't even make a trip back out to the house for a final inspection!! Did we even want them back in here to fix any of these things? You've got to be kidding me (to put it politely)!

After a slight change in the start date due to crew availablity caused by weather delays on other sites, the work went very well. The delay was perfectly reasonable. The three man team led by William were not time wasters. They worked carefully and steadily for many hours each day. Holes and drywall tape that needed repairing were plentiful, and these guys were very diligent about making sure each one was properly finished, even a spot from a former water leak was totally covered. Excellent paint coverage of the walls and ceilings and all the trim work was perfectly painted and caulked where needed. My house is a little dark (IMO) so I put up some lighting, even though they didnt ask for it. They seemed to be doing just fine - it,s me that couldnt see!! My only suggestion is that they have some sort of lighting they can plug in when they do have a dimmly lit area to paint (maybe they do, I dont know). At the end, furniture was returned and they cleaned up very well. The men were all polite, and hard-working. Very little chatter amongst themselves - they just worked! You can see we are very satisfied.

The estimator was on time for our appointment. She was very professional and extremely helpful in selecting a coordinating trim color and researching concrete stain options. Communication was clear and timely throughout the process. The paint crew arrived on schedule, did an excellent job of painting, kept a tidy work area, and returned as promised to touch-up a few places. The only reason we rated our overall experience a B instead of an A is that several shutters were not securely fastened and fell off soon after they were re-hung.

They came out again similar to another company and walked me through the process and explained everything in great detail. They were very nice. I think the owner, David worked with me on what was cheaper this versus that or you can get the same effect by doing this and not that, which was helpful and useful in kind of the budget planning and figuring where I could get the most impact for my dollars. That quoting process was good. As far as the actual work, the guys that came onsite were very friendly, respectful of my wife and daughter who were at home during the day most days that they worked there. They did a great job.

Very professional company. Always cleaned up at the end of the day. Showed up early in the morning and worked for about 12 hours over two days. They did a great job and I would certainly hire Certapro again.

The job went very well. Estimate process was smooth and very efficient. Salesperson was well-informed, very professional and courteous. Expectations on both sides were discussed and the proposal was clear and concise. Experienced a little bit of a delay in getting the job scheduled, but nothing too significant. Painting crew was on time, professional, courteous and well-organized. Job was completed as promise to the letter of the proposal and on time. Prices are slightly higher than market average, but worth the investment. Good value for dollars spent.

CertaPro repainted the entire interior of our home, including walls, ceilings and trim as well as painting our exterior doors and shutters. Price was very competitive, but we were sold by the professionalism of the estimator - Val. He addressed every question and concern that we had. They also offered a free color consultation, which was very helpful for us. The colors selected look much better than we ever imagined. The crew that did the work was on time every morning and did a wonderful job, always leaving our home clean when completed for the day. I would recommend CertaPro to anyone looking for a painting contractor

Great. We got an estimate, had some carpentry done (by Chuck Shomo who was great!!!!), started and finished the job all within a week or so. Guy came out and painted 4 or 5 different color swatches on the house and once we made a decision on color -- they were ready to go. It took the crew most of one day to do the siding and prime the rail -- then they finished up the following day with a top coat on the rail, touched up the trim, and cleaned everything else up.

Met the owner of Certa Pro at the Southern Home Show in Raleigh this past spring. Kirt came out to look over the areas that needed to be painted. Quote was e-mailed to me so I had something to compare with other bids. I did have another painter come out and his bid was $200.00 lower than Certa Pro. I decided to go with Certa based on other Angie List reviews. Painted was completed within the two day time period that they had quoted. The painters came in and did all of the prep and cut in on the first day and finished the job the following day. Poncho, the foreman of the job discussed the colors that we wanted and reviewed the areas that were to be painted. The job looks great and they did a great job on patching and prep for the painting. They did a great job cleaning up after the job and moved all of the furniture back into place. Job very well done!

Great. Tom was very responsive and helpful, the painters were nice and professional, came when they said, cleaned up at the end of the day. They did forget 1 part of the screened in porch which I found during the walkthrough I did with Tom but that was taken care of quickly. Definitely a positive experience!

They were great! They were reliable and very neat. I’d use their services again.

The job was for an office of "picky" women. The crew did a fantastic job of removing old wall paper and prepping the walls for fresh paint. There was a fair amount of woodwork (chair rail) in all the offices in addition to the doors and window trim. They arrived on time each day and wasted no time. The offices look beautiful and everyone is happy! We would definitely recommend CertaPro Painters of Raleigh to anyone.

The workers arrived on Monday as scheduled and worked throughout the day. When I arrived home from work each day they would give me a rundown of what had been completed and the time they would arrive for the next day. On Thursday afternoon they completed the work and asked me to walk around with them to see if there was anything needing touchups. The touchups were immediately completed and they did not leave until I was completely satisfied.

The sales representative was very personable and professional. He showed up on time. He seemed to be very thorough. They came recommended by a friend but in the end I chose a different company. They did not follow-up after giving me the quote. I will call them in the future.

The painters showed up multiple hours late on the first day of the job and indicated that what was stated could be done in terms of repairs they could not do. As far as the painting, they did a good job and didn't leave a mess like some painters have done before.

Certapro came out to give me a quote for painting the exterior trim on my house (around the doors, windows, edges of the house, etc) and a few rooms inside. As I just graduated from grad school, I didn't have much money too spend, and they were a little out of my price range, but their estimate paperwork also indicted a very detailed job, including proper prep work, high quality primer/paint, clean up, and a good warranty for the work performed. If money was not an option, most likely I would've gone with Certapro. As it was, the roofer I had replacing my roof did all the painting as part of his job, and did a decent job, but not as good as was indicated in the Certapro estimate.

The crew was wonderful. They were one of the most friendly, courteous crews we have had work at the house. On the first day, the owner came in and went over the job with myself and the crew leader/supervisor. They worked in a very professional manner. They came in each day got right to work and did a quality job. Each day the owner came by to make sure all was going well. If I needed more painting done, I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

It started out slow with the guys showing up late and then not ready to paint and the 2nd day, only 2 came to work on the job. But by the 3rd day, there were 6 guys and they got it all done with the exception of the deck due to rain. They were very neat and left no spots behind. Each night they cleaned up their mess so we were able to put rooms back together. They moved all the furniture and put everything back as well. I also appreciated that the owner came out with several color books to help us pick the colors for the rooms. She was very good at helping us pull everything together. The guys who did the work were clean and polite and very comfortable to have in my home.

Estimate was scheduled for 2p Tuesday. Person doing the estimate was running late from another client and called me in plenty of time to let me know he would be a few minutes late (10-15 mins). Arrived on time, fully explained his company and the service we should expect. Asked me about any of my dos and don'ts for him and his workers to ensure they would meet my expectation. Provided an onsite, computerzied estimate of the service. I agreed to the work (I needed it completed quickly). He got on the phone and put me on the schedule for Friday of that week. Team of 2 arrived Friday, on time or maybe a little early, did a great job and were done in 2-3 hours. They repaired holes, etc. in the sheetrock and did an excellent job painting. I will be using them again!

They were professional and prompt. We were on a tight budget because it was for a house that we were selling, CertaPro's price was in the middle. We would consider them for future projects.

Estimator came to my home on schedule and spent time explaining the company's approach to doing the work and backing up their work (2-year warranty is quite nice thing to have for a home going on the market - especially in the current buyers-market). Workers showed up one day late due to a health issue with the crew leader, but they made up for it by putting in 12 hr days and ended up completing the job on time. I am satisfied with the results and value for service delivered. I only have a couple punch list items to be addressed, we'll see how soon those are addressed. I meet with a company representative tomorrow. Overall a good experience.

This was the worst expeirence I have had with getting a house painted. The initial sales process was good but the follow through was poor. I was told and even had paper to say they would be painting from 0830 to 500pm and they were there until 7pm at night. Received a call from Mr. Sorch regarding payment when the job hadn't been finished. Wasn't happy with the service and will not use it again.

The work crew was knowledgeable, efficient, and professional. It took a day and half to complete the job, and they did a good job with the painting and the clean up at the end of both days. Only complaint is that they rushed getting started with the paint before completing the repairs. Some wallpaper remnants had to be pointed out before it was completely removed. After pointing out problem areas, they were repaired, and the job completed.
