Honest and dependable. Came out the same day that I called and were on time. Though I received bad news about my appliance, it was delivered in a professional manner with a complete explanation of the issues. I will only use Capitol Repair for all of appliance repair needs.

Clint showed up within his alloted time and went to work quickly diagnosing the problem. Once he figured it out he replaced the wire quickly. Also let me know what was going on with my refrigerator just by describing the sound. Bought me some time to look for a replacement. Gave recommendation of what to buy going forward.

Overall I'm happy with the service and I will use them again. I don't feel the cost was out of line

Called after hours and set up appointment for the next day. Repairman came at the appointed time and began analysis of problem. In short amount, he had the problem figured out and began installing a new water valve. Did a good job of cleaning up after the repair. Made mention the the water valves on the water faucets were old. The water had not been turned off and on in a long time and that there may be small in in them. He stated that we should keep on them. If they started to leak, we would need to call a plumber as he did not do plumbing. Repairman worked quickly and acted very professional.

My Whirlpool washer was leaking water during each load. I checked Angie's list, found Capital Appliance Repair and was impressed with the reviews. I called on a Friday afternoon to schedule an appointment for the next week since I was heading out of town anyway. Nevertheless, the person answering the phone was distressed that he was unable to offer me an appointment that afternoon because they were too busy! I scheduled for Tuesday morning between 10 and 11. On Tuesday, the technician, Jason called me to let me know he was running behind and would be there about 11:15. When he arrived he was very pleasant and professional and went straight to work diagnosing the machine. He tolerated me hanging out and watching him work and answered all of my questions. It took very little time for us to see water coming from the pump when he started a cycle. I was sure that would be too expensive to justify fixing in a machine that already had about 10 years on it. Jason quickly reassured me that it was no problem, only $53 dollars for the pump, and he had it switched out and the machine put back together before I had time to come back downstairs from fetching my checkbook! I had also mentioned that the knob that selects the load size was broken and he fixed that too. Before paying, I asked him if he had any thoughts on a problem I was having with my ice maker/water dispenser - a problem that stumped a long-distance family member who repairs appliances. He offered to take a look and spent time checking all of the possibilities. He wasn't able to diagnose the problem but, of course, the problem wasn't happening while he was there! I was gratified that he didn't doubt my word that the problem actually existed and he volunteered to come back anytime if the problem persisted. He didn't charge anything extra for the few minutes he spent looking things over the fridge. The total for the day was 124.08, That included the pump, $75 service call and tax, minus 10% for my Angie's list coupon. Overall this was a very pleasant experience and I will definitely call them again for any appliance issue I have in the future.

My freezer had been acting erratic for several months. it's a month since the repair and it works great.

Great! Steven came within hours of my call to the company. Our dryer needed a new part. He recommend that it would probably be better to buy a new dryer. Very friendly. He even gave a recommendation for a new dryer brand.

The technician was extremely professional, prompt, and efficient. He was very good about explaining the problem and how to prevent future problems. The appointment was made very rapidly (he arrived the same day). Will use them again in the future.

We called Monday morning and had a technician out that afternoon just a few hours later. Price was reasonable and technician was knowledgeable and helpful in explaining the problem/solution.

1:30 PM: Washer stopped running with a ratcheting sound like ice in a blender. Found Capital Appliance Repair here on Angie's List. I liked the sound of the reviews and the quoted costs for washing machine repairs. 1:45 PM: Called them. Described the trouble and mentioned that I found them on Angie's List and the 10% off service call coupon. Was told they could be out to my house between 2 and 4 PM today if that was OK. Not a problem I said. 1:54 PM: Called by Jason saying that he was about 10 minutes away if that was OK. Started cleaning up the area around the machine so he would have some elbow room 2:04 PM: Jason arrives. I introduce my dog to him. Dog is happy and goes back to where he was napping. I turned the machine on. Jason diagnoses the probable problem as a failed coupling between the motor and transmission. Opens up the machine, disconnects the motor from the transmission and what remains of the coupler falls to the ground. Jason explains that machines of this age (KitchenAid top loader, purchased in July 1999) used a solid plastic/nylon coupler. The new couplers have a metal core now to last longer. He said it is amazing that the old couplers last as long as they do. 2:20 PM: Machine is back in working condition. I start up the machine to finish the load it stopped on while Jason writes up the ticket. 2:25 PM: I write the check. We shake hands and everyone is happy. My wife told me this morning as she was leaving for work to have fun doing the laundry. Well, this was different from most laundry days.

On a Thursday night after regular business hours I definitively determined that the10 year old fridge and freezer weren't working. Chose Capital because they were open past regular business hours, and I wanted the repair before the weekend if possible. No problem. Repairman arrived Friday morning within 10 minutes of his projected arrival time, diagnosed the problem, had the part we needed on board his truck, and was finished within an hour. I was very happy with the service and glad we did the repair rather than purchase a new fridge.

Very satisfied with the work. He knew what he was doing and was very efficient. The only delay in completing the work was getting a part for the dishwasher.

They came out very fast to fix my washing machine. He was very professional and did a good job. He was a little bit expensive but overall the experience was good.

They were very nice and helpful. They showed up on time and didn't make me wait half a day to see when they could be there. Unfortuantely my ovens couldn't be repaired and he explained why and guided me where I could get them replaced quickly and at a fair price.

Refrigerator would not cool. Called captial and they came out the next day. Repair person stated control board was bad. He said he would have to order the part and it would take up to 14 days. He further stated he needed the 400.00 payment now. Three weeks later we still had not heard from captial. I called three office for two days leaving voice mails no response. On the third day someone answered and said they were just about to call me. He told me the part had not came in yet but I should not be upset for I would not pay until services were delivered. I told him thats funny because I had already paid up front because repair person required payment. He stated since it had taken awhile he would rush order the part though it was going to cost him a lot of money and have it in three days. Five days passed, I called and left message. The next day I called again and someone answered. He stated he had been trying to call me, I replied my phone did not identify any missed calls nor any voice mails. Two days laterthe repairman showed. He told me he could not remember how to install the control board and forgot his directions. It took him two hours. Never will I use them again! 14 days turned into 33 days.

Simply great! Service man came within an hour of my call. He had excellent customer relationshionship. These people well deserve an A+. I'm keeping their name and number in case I have a need for the future. I highly recommend them to anyone needing large appliance repair.

Our seven-year-old Kenmore dishwasher stopped filling with water. Over Thanksgiving, inconveniently enough, we had to wash our dishes by hand. I called Capital Appliance on Monday morning, the 28th. An appointment was made for three hours later. The repairman, Josh, arrived on time, accurately diagnosed the problem (malfunctioning fill valve) and offered to fetch the part, return with it and complete the repair within the hour. I was agreeable, and he did as he said he would.He fixed the dishwasher for the amount that he estimated it would cost, and took 10 percent off the service call cost when I presented an Angie's List certificate. Capital Appliance's promptness, efficiency, and professionalism were impressive, and i would recommend this vendor to anyone needing to having an appliance repaired.

He was fabulous. Everything went great. He was so nice and very friendly. My husband was here at the time. He delayed going into work because he wanted to talk to him about it. They answered the phone and took my call. They said they'll have someone out tomorrow, which they did. They came out the next day at 9:30 as we had discussed on the phone. It was wonderful that they came right away.

I called this company after reading great reports on Angie's List. My washing machine was full of water and clothes and had stopped working at 11 am the day before Thanksgiving, and I had 3 loads of laundry to do before our family drove out of town. They told me over the phone to unplug the machine and try it again in an hour, and if that did not work, to call back and they would come out that day. When that did not solve the problem, I called back and they said they would be out between 3 pm and 5 pm that day. Nobody showed up or called. I tried to reach them shortly after 5 pm (figured I'd give them some grace time), and all I got was an answering machine. I tried again several times to no avail, leaving several messages practically begging them to come out. Five days later on Monday morning, after Thanksgiving weekend, I called them back and they had no idea what happened. After explaining that I was up doing laundry at several friends houses at midnight before Thanksgiving and that I couldn't believe they had not given me at least a courtesy call, their only explanation was that the three days before holidays are like Black Friday they are so busy. I told him I understood, but if that was true, they should have at least told me they were too busy to come out; as it was, they did not call or show up and I was completely left in the lurch, when I could have had all day to contact another company instead. He finally apologized and said he would look into it and find out what happened. Five days too late! Pre-holiday or not, the customer service was completely unacceptable, and I did not even receive an apology phone call after the weekend, despite the fact that I had left desperate messages on their answering machine Wednesday evening, still hoping they would make it out to my house.

He was prompt, polite & professional. Checked it out & made a recommendation of replacement due to the cost of the repair.

Refrigerator repaired. They came out within tow hours so I didn't loose any food. He brought the right parts to fix it and got me up and running right away

Called company at 11:00 a.m. to see if they could repair my dryer. My phone call was answered promptly and I was asked about the problem and the make of the dryer. I was told a repair call could be made that day between 12 and 2. The technician arrived at 12:15 , diagnosed the problem and had the part needed to complete the repair. He explained the problem and approximated what the final cost would be. He completed the repair and also checked my outside vent and was finished in under 30 minutes. It was a very good experience and I would use them again and have suggested them to other friends.

He was called, promptly responded and was punctual. He was very professional and honest and clearly was not out for the money. Our washer could not be salvaged and he helped us avoid a short term remedy that would have not been cost efficient in the long run. Much appreciated.

When the repair man arrived, he was very nice and knowledgeable. He said it would cost $350 to fix it and he said I would be better off to get a new machine, which I decided to do. My problem is them charging me $75 to tell me it would cost $350 to fix it. Why couldn't they have told me this on the first call I made to them instead of coming to the house to tell me to collect an easy $75. I told them it was an error message I was getting and that I had read it is a common problem with this brand of washer's control board. They should have said, this control board replacement is a $350 job, which we can do or you may want to look at buying a new machine. Just let us know if you would like it fixed. They have me as a customer.
