Called to have gas cook top installed. Told them make and model. When technician arrived, he complained that he was unaware of the make and model. He did half the work and said he would need to come back to finish the job. When he did come back, over a week later, he said the price would be higher, brought a dryer vent attachment (which is inadequate in a kitchen) and said he would not go under the house to connect it because he would get dirty. Very unprofessional. Upset my wife when he was in the house.

Overall, a good experience. I would recommend calling them again, but it might not hurt to confirm your appointment time on the morning of the day it is scheduled. They Initially did not show up during the two hour window when they committed to come. When I called to make sure I was on the schedule, I wasn't. So, no bueno. However, I was VERY pleased that they offered to get someone to my house within and hour, and that tech arrived as planned. They correctly diagnosed and repaired the dishwasher and it is running better than ever.

My refrigerator wasn't getting cold enough so I called and spoke with Greg. He suspected the fan was broken and needed to be replaced. His estimate was right in line with what I expected and he came out the next day and fixed the refrigerator. A few days later it started to make a loud noise due to no fault of theirs. Greg came out the same day I called and fixed it as part of his warranty. I highly recommend Capital Appliance Repair.

They were very helpful but the repair they did did not fix the problem.

They did a very good job. On the phone call before they came out, they were able to diagnose the problem and have me take steps to prep for the repair. It may confirming and addressing the problem much easier when they arrived. Beyond fixing the issue I called for, they also dealt with a second, minor issue with my refrigerator that I had not had time to address. I am very happy with their expertise and service. My icemaker quit working. Jason came, checked the unit carefully, ran circuit tests, and explained to me how the unit worked and what his test results were. He left the option to me to continue to use it functioning partially until the motor itself failed or replace it now. He explained the costs associated with each option. He did not have the part on his truck, but called to make certain it was at the warehouse, told me what the cost of the part would be, and scheduled an appointment at my availability to return and install the part. He arrived for his appointment on time initially and arrived for the second appointment exactly when he said he would. He installed the new part and would not leave until he made certain it worked. He said to call if the unit did not make new ice cubes within two hours of his completing the installation.

Initial contact was very professional and personal. I explained the problem and the man explained that it didn't sound serious, possibly a froze drain line. Bottom line, he thought that it was worth at least inspecting. Explained that it would be $80 plus parts. I made an appoint for 2 days out, but that was my choice, they could have come sooner. I called back to ask what I needed to prepare, and friendly woman explained that I would just need to clear the bottom shelves. The service man arrived within the 2 hour window. It was just a frozen drain line, and was repaired within 30 minutes. He also cleaned up behind himself and was very informative about the cause and solution to the problem. This was a well spent $80, as we were prepared to drop $800 on a new unit.

I have a 7 year old HE Whirlpool dryer that quit working one day without any appearent reason. It would turn on and everything lit up but that was it. I called and spoke with Greg on the 23rd and he was able to set up an appointment that afternoon. He showed up at the time he said he would and met with my wife. He inspected the dryer and found the problem fairly quick. He showed my wife that the coil on the heating element dropped and welded itself to the housing and popped the fuses and blew the thermostat. He took the parts with him to find the replacements. The heating element is model specific so he had to get one in Raleigh and would need to return on the 24th to finish up. On the 24th (Friday), Greg again came at the time he told us and finished the repair. He left no mess and returned everthing back where it was before and the best thing is that he fixed it the first time. Its been weeks and it works like it was new. Greg is knowledgable, skilled and very personable and I would not hesitate to call him again or recommend him to others.

Great service! Refrig stopped cooling on a Friday; Called 3 repair companies from Angie's List on Saturday morning; expecting to set up an appointment for the next week. First call no answer, second got voice mail, third call was answered right away from Greg. Answered right away "How can I help you?". Told problem., gave him model number, etc. Said he felt it was a relay. Would check if he had the part and come out today (Saturday) if he had part. Amazied; come out on a Saturday? . He called back 1/2 hour later and said he had the part but it was on a service vehicle about 40 miles away from my house. Said he would call tomorrow (Sunday) and come out if that was all right. OF COURSE! Can't believe that anyone would come out a on a Sunday. Sure enough, he called at 1:00 pm to come out at 3. Arrived right at 3:00 pm; fixed part; very professional and communicative, refig has been working ever since. No additional labor charge for Sunday, Cost was extremely reasonable. Gave us a 1 year warranty on the part. Will definitely call again and recommend to all my neighbors and friends. Thanks Greg.

Jason was awesome! Very professional and quick. Diagnosed the problem within a couple minutes and came back a few days later to replace the part, which took about ten minutes. GREAT experience.

The technician arrived promptly and diagnosed the problem . He explained to us simply and clearly what caused the problem and what needed to be done to resolve the issue. He returned the next day with the needed part, installed it and all is well!!

The company had me try power cycling my dishwasher to see if that would fix problem before ever scheduling a service call. I thought that was very nice since they could have done that for a fee. The technician was running behind his scheduled time so he called to let me know he was running late. He observed the problem and showed me exactly what was wrong and fixed the problem in about 20 minutes. Very knowledgable and professional. Will definitely use in the future!

Food in the refrigerator started freezing up so I call Capital Appliance repair and scheduled an appointment to assess the problem. On the day of the appointment, Greg called before the appointment and arrived on time. The freezer damper was stuck in the open position so Greg made a few adjustments and recommended I wait to see if the problem continued or if it was a one time occurrence before spending additional money on new parts. After a few days, the refrigerator started freezing food again, so I called Greg to report the issue happened again. Greg ordered the part and returned and installed the new part as soon as it arrived. The new part solved the problem. Greg was very professional and I am very pleased with the service and his honesty. I definitely recommend Capital Appliance and I will use them again when I have any appliance issues.

Jason called before arriving & showed up on time. As soon as I explained the problem, he advised that it was normal for front loading washers to drain water when you open the clean out valve. He was very friendly & gave me good advice about front loading washers in general. I was very happy when he said "no charge"! I really appreciated that; nice to deal w/folks who care about providing good customer service. I will definitely call Capital Appliance Repair the next time I have the need.

It is now 3 months later and all is still good!

My wife called 3 days ago and spoke with the owner. She made an appointment directly with him. The day of the appointment, no one showed up. We called to confirm when they were going to arrive, they did not show any appointment on the books. The owner forgot to put it on the books. I was told the owner would call me back to immediately to reschedule. I never heard back from the owner. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Very unprofessional.

I called on a Friday afternoon and the technician was able to come to my house on the following Monday morning. He was on time, friendly and professional. He had the tools to diagnose the issue - bad heating unit. He needed to order the part, but said he could have it for me by the next day and he scheduled a time right then and there. The part came in the next day and the tech arrived and installed it very quickly. The labor was included as part of the $80 service fee, so the only extra cost was the cost of the part. I was very pleased with the results and the service and will definitely use them again.

Arrived on time and quick repair to replace a relay.

My refrigerator began sounding like a motor boat and had to be unplugged. I called and received service the next day. In fact the service people were all scheduled so Mr. Dail (the owner) came out and rescued me. He was able to make the repairs that day and I now have a quiet, working, refrigerator. I was VERY pleased with the service in every way. I will definitely recommend and use this company again.

I was very impressed with Capital Appliance Repair. Jason showed up when he said he would. It didn't take long to figure out we needed a new bake element for our GE Profile Oven. He ordered the part and told me it would take about 2 weeks to come in. Two weeks later, he gave me a call and came out, installed the part, and problem fixed! He also determined what the problem was with our GE Profile dishwasher and helped me figure out that it wasn't worth fixing. The whole experience was very professional and efficient. Thanks a lot!

Clint was very knowledgeable and efficient. Repair was completed in a timely manner. The cost is my only issue.
