Sometimes you learn more about a company when things don't go well! I scheduled a service call for our Whirlpool Duet washer that wasn't working. Technician arrived on time the following day. After disassembling the washer, it was apparent that the technician did not have a lot of experience repairing this model washer. He could not locate the technical service manual that was taped to the inside panel of the machine, so he had to call someone to walk him through the diagnosis. After about an hour, he concluded that it was either the central control unit or the motor control unit, but would not commit to repairing the machine, because of the expense of the parts. He did not want to change the wrong part, and then have to eat the cost for diagnosing the problem incorrectly. The next day, I called a competitor to service the machine. They quickly diagnosed the problem, had the motor control unit on their truck, and made the repair in less than 45-minutes. Today, I called Greg Dail, the owner of Capital Appliance Repair, to request a refund for the service call they performed. After explaining the situation, Greg apologized for the poor service and explained that the technician he sent to make the repair was not very experienced, but should have reached out to someone else on their team to resolve the problem. Greg graciously offered a full refund for the service call, and apologized again for my experience. About a year ago I used Capital Appliance to repair a problem I was having with the ice maker on my refrigerator. They did a great job, which is why I called them again when the problem with our washer surfaced. I will most definitely call Capital Appliance Repair again in the future. Although my experience with a specific technician was not positive, it is obvious that the owner of the company cares about his customers and wants to assure that they are satisfied with the work performed.

After an initial bobble trying to schedule (I think something was wrong with their phone), I was able to schedule an appointment quickly. The technician quickly determined that the icemaker had to be replaced order the part and installed it within just a few days. This is the second time I have used Capital Appliance, and I plan to use them in the future.

Made the appointment to fix our fridge about two weeks in advance and even confirmed the appointment time the day before. They never showed up in the appointed timeframe and when I called they said it'll take about another 30min, which they still hadn't showed up by then. Canceled the appointment at that point. Very disappointed as I went with them based on the good reviews they got on Angie's list. I had to take time off of work for the appointment and they never bothered to contact me about being late.

We calledd Capital Appliance Repair and was immediately given a time for Jason to come out to service my washing machine. The gentleman I spoke to in the office for was helpful and efficient. Jason arrived and was very professional, efficient, knowledgable and helpful. He told us the part would have to be ordered and sent from their warehouse and he could complete the service call on Monday, May 11. Jason arrived and replaced the part. He answered all of our questions with professionalism and knowledge. In talking with Jason we realized we had a garbage disposal that needed to be replaced. He came back on Wednesday and replaced our garbage disposal for us. It was one of the most pain-free experiences of this nature we have had in many years. We will definitely keep their contact information in our phones.

The technician showed up on time and quickly identified the issue. They ordered the replacement part and setup a time two days later to return to install the part. When the technician returned, they quickly installed the part that resolved the issue.

I located him out of your book. I go to the book all the time. He was here when he said he would be. His response time great. He was very professional. He recommended a place for me to go get another refrigerator. He just charged me a nominal fee for the service call. I decided on him based on the Angie reviews.

Technician listened to my description of the problem, examined the appliance and diagnosed the issue in about 5 minutes. He had the part on the truck and gave me a price of $79 for the part and $80 for labor. After the go ahead, he replace the thermostat in about 20 minutes. The final price reflected the Angie's list 10% discount on labor. He was in an out of the house in less than 45 minutes.

The provider was contacted and a time was scheduled for service on three appliances approximately 1 week prior to the date they were to come. I took off work and they never came. Greg called me in the afternoon and asked if I could push back the time and I said I could not and that I had taken off work and he said he would still come. They never came. The technician finally called two hours after the scheduled time and said he could come but I was not home. Then a woman from the office called after that and asked if we could reschedule, we set it up for Saturday at 1:00 and they never came, never called us back. We tried calling multiple times. Really a big inconvenience. I had to cancel work that I was not paid for as a result of their no show.

I was very pleased with the quality of service. Jason looked at my refrigerator and methodically checked a couple of areas to determine the cause of the leak. When he diagnosed it, he said he wasn't sure if the part would be available b/c of the age of my refrigerator, but that he could use a plain hose to solve the problem. He did have to get a hose and came the the next day (or maybe 2 days later). For my dryer, I had purchased the new inside vent, and Jason installed it. He also attached the vent hose from the dryer to the wall more securely than I had been able to do. I was especially pleased that Jason took time to clean up the water behind my refrigerator (from the leak I had) and asked me for an old towel, b/c it would get dirty. He also vacuumed the refrigerator coils for me. He also researched part information for my microwave and gave me advice on cleaning the wall ductwork for my dryer. He was a little later (maybe 15 minutes) than planned, but he did call; I do not fault him for that, b/c it's hard to predict how long each service call will take. The only suggestion for improvement would be with the receptionist. She was not particularly forthcoming with information, especially when I called to confirm my appointment. I would recommend this company and use them again if needed.

Great, Very nice fellow, explained my options of a full replacement of a part or repair the leaking hose. Repaired the hose and system works. On time, called in advance and completed the work at a reasonable cost.

The technician replaced the seal in my washing machine and also did the maintenance on both the washer and dryer. I also bought an insurance policy on my dryer as recommended by the tech. He said by the sound of it, the motor was going to go sooner rather than later and it would cost hundreds of dollars to replace. $42.50 paid for it up front, should it go. I'm happy. Got rid of the moldy smell in my washer and learned I was using way to much soap in my front loading HE washer. I will definitely use them again. The price above includes the Angies Deal purchase price in it as well!

They investigated the problem, found that it was caused by grease and food items in the drain. Cleaned drain and showed us how to avoid problems in he future.

It was the service reps last stop on Friday night. He didn't try and rush the appointment and explained everything he was doing and what specifically cause the problem. He answered all my questions.

Very well. Problem fixed and it works better than before.

No one told me what the issue was because no one ever called me back. Yes, I was without a washer for over 2 months ! It was extremely inconvenient to take my laundry to the Laundromat. I did not call a repairman to get a refund, I called to get a repair. It was not worth repairing, it would have been nice for someone to have let me know. Even when I called the office again, no one told me what the problem was.

The job went well. He was on time. Worked quickly. I am satisfied.

Called before he arrived ( on time). Very friendly and courteous. Explained the process and theory. Made suggestions how to repair another troubled appliance. Will call again due to friendly, fair and effective service. Call them with confidence.

Service Technician, Clint, was on time for the scheduled service and was very professional. He did a thorough inspection of the refrigerator to locate the issue and explained the situation to me in detail. He correctly assessed the situation and noted why a simple repair could not be made to the unit because the refrigerator's age and wear/corrosion had broken an internal drain pan. We both came to the same conclusion that it was time for the 20 yr old unit to be replaced. I appreciated his work and his honesty in describing the situation as well as some helpful advice in picking out a new refrigerator.

This man only charged me for the 40 minuets he spent here the past day. The price was so reasonable I was very impressed and definitely would use him again and again - I have recommended him to several neighbors who were also impressed. Very hard to find such an honest, , dedicated person such "Scot" these days. Capital Appliance is very lucky to have him as an employee.

Technician explained the problem and gave us the option of paying the service call and doing the work ourselves or having them buy and install the part. He had them do it as it comes with a lifetime warranty on the part and 18 months on labor. Diagnosed one day and returned to do repair the next day,

The refrigerator side of my side-by-side refrigerator/freezer stopped cooling but the freezer side was working.. There are two coldness controls, one for the refrigerator and the other for the freezer. The technician was not able to explain how they worked and what they controlled. He seemed to think the freezer side control controlled the temperature in both the refrigerator side and the freezer side by means of adjusting an air vent and did not know how the control for the refrigerator side worked nor what it did. He gave me and estimate and description of the parts needed but was not sure that the estimate he gave me would actually cover all the repairs needed. So I did not hire Capital Appliance Repair to do the repair.

We were extremely pleased with the service provided by Capital Appliance Repair. They were able to diagnose the issue with our washing machine based on our phone call and as a result they showed up with the necessary part for the repair. They were professional and accommodating in all our contacts/conversations. They came out quickly and the work was completed promptly for what we consider a very reasonable price. We would not hesitate to call them in the future.

Tech arrived on time (called ahead to say he was on his way) and determined that the rollers were worn and had a flat spot. Belt was also showing wear and tear. Gave me a price on each and replaced them. He also vacuumed the inside of the dryer. Put the dryer back together, it's running fine now. Tech was knowledgeable, careful/neat worker and courteous.
