He arrived on time, and diagnosed the problem very quickly. Showed me how to fix it myself in the future. Gave me tips on prolonging the life of the stove and my dishwasher.

They did the work quickly and diagnosed the problem easily. Everything went smoothly and the washing machine is now working.

Scheduled to come Saturday to repair leaking dishwasher. Said they would call, but never did and never showed up. No response to 3 voice messages left throughout the day. Had to find another company,

I called on a Tuesday evening at 5:00 and immediately reached the owner who was very personable. After a short description of the problem, he pretty much diagnosed the problem right then and there. I gave the dishwasher brand and model number to him so they could arrive with the appropriate parts. Scott came out the very next morning at 11:00. He called a short time before his arrival to let me know he would be there shortly which I appreciated because I needed to secure the dog. He turned on our machine to take a listen, ruled out another possible problem and then replaced the fill valve. He explained everything as he worked and left everthing tidy. We received our 10% Angie's List discount off the service fee. He was a nice guy and everything went smoothly. We would call this company again for any problems we need help with in the future.

It went extremely well. When we called Cary Discount & Capital Appliance Repair, formerly known as 'Capital Appliance Repair', a number of different companies were reviewed and I settled on this one, based on the quantity of ratings, high customer satisfaction, and the variety of reviews/ types of repairs. We called the service provider after checking on Angie's List for a large appliance repair person. We have had a number of different repair people over the years because we have lived in our home for 19 years. Our appliances were replaced 11 years ago, so they have all served us very well. Our clothes washer stopped spinning Monday night. Since we had been having problems with our stove for awhile, it was time for both of them to be repaired. The repair company was informed of the brand of the appliances and the year they were built, along with the issues at hand. That way, they would more likely have the parts with them, if they knew what to expect and anticipate. I also informed them it was a gas stove because some repair people don't like to work on gas stoves or have the knowledge required. We were told they had a few people specifically trained to work on gas stoves along with the clothes washer. The time was set for between 10-11AM Wed.. Clint arrived @10:15 and immediately went to work on the stove, with the end of a paper clip to clean out the orifices in all the burners. Once I saw how and what he did, I knew I could repair it myself if the burners had a problem again, which is nice to know. The last time someone had worked on the stove, they had ruined the screws holding the burners in place. Not this time. It was an easy fix. He checked all the burners to ensure they all fired off and burned evenly. Next Clint went to work on our clothes washer. He turned the washer on to determine the noise, immediately knew what the problem was from the sound and removed the washer cover. He pulled the washer apart as much as was needed. He went out to his truck, brought in the part and repaired it, quickly. Then he checked the interior of the basket and discovered the agitator was also broken. It turned freely in both directions, which meant the control mechanism of the agitator was broken on the bottom. Something I was not even aware of. Clint told me he always checks the agitator when he's called out for a clothes washer, because the agitation is often defective. He again went out his truck, got the part, and pulled the agitator mechanism out and pulled it apart. He replaced the part, showed me what it was and explained how it works. Who knows how long it had been broken. He took the time to explain to me how it works to clean/agitate the clothes, so everything gets properly cleaned, not just the clothes on the bottom. I also asked him about a couple of issues I had with my dishwasher and how much it would cost to repair that. He called up the parts store, gave them the serial number and asked about the parts. I was looking at between $250-$350 to repair/replace a couple of items, which was more trouble and cost more than it was worth. I told him to let it go. I could live with it. These were minor. I asked if the advertised 10% discount on their website applied and he said sure and took $8.00 off the bill. The whole repair took no more than 30 minutes and he had written up the bill, been paid, gave us a receipt, thanked us for our business and he was gone. All in all, what ever the 'problem' another reviewer had with Clint, I had NONE. He was efficient, timely in his arrival, quickly diagnosed and repaired both appliances. If all my home repairs go as quickly and inexpensively as this one did, I will continue to be a VERY HAPPY HOME OWNER! He diagnosed the problem and gave me an estimate on repair but he basically said I should get a new one because the cost to fix it would be too high. I was ok with the diagnosis and he was a pretty good guy.

Scott came out the day after my request for service. He had the whole dryer disassembled without moving it from against the wall in about 15 minutes. The problem was easy to diagnose and a new part was ordered. He said he would pick it up that afternoon and return the next day to install it. Apparently he had a call cancelled because he returned a few hours later and asked if he could complete the job right away, which he did. The reason the repair cost as much as it did was because he showed me that the rollers in the dryer were OK but were showing wear and would probably need to be replaced in the not too distant future. I agreed with his assessment and OK'd the additional parts. Hopefully this saved the cost of an additional service call. There was no pressure from Scott to spend the additional money, just an honest description of a potential future weak spot in the appliance. The work was completed quickly and competently. I will have no hesitation in calling on Capital in the future when needed.

Excellent! Scott was the repairman, and he was not only efficient, he explained exactly what was wrong. The machine needed a new water pump. He had to go get one from the supply store, he returned in no time, and it was installed. He also pointed out several things about the machine due to it's age to watch out for. I will always use Capital Appliance repair, and I would love for Scott to come back!

Our service representative, Clint, was fantastic. He came out the very next day to diagnose the problem. He ordered the part and repaired our freezer the next day. The whole process took only 2 days from start to finish. He was on-time and very professional. He explained the problem to us and offered options. The price was very fair. We're very happy with his service and I highly recommend this company to others. We'll definitely use them again.

The dishwasher was repaired immediately on 12-15-15. The part for the refrigerator had to be ordered and took quite awhile to come in. As soon as it did the repairman came immediately and replaced it on 1-13-16. The needed repair did not hamper the use of the refrigerator while we waited. The water filter housing only leaked when I would go to change the filter which is not done that often. Jason left the work area clean and tidy when he left both times.

It went poorly, it seems like a pretty good way to make money if you just go tell people you don't know what's wrong and take their money. Anyone could do that with absolutely no knowledge of appliances.

Scheduling for service by Greg was made the next day, but alerted me of cancellation for same day service. Service associate Scott called before coming. He quickly knew the problem for an old model washer; had parts on hand; and made repairs. He explained and showed the problem and what was being done for the repair. He honored the discount that was available at the time. Excellent service was given from time of placing call to completion.

Capital Appliance did a great job. Called for a tenant repair on Thursday 12/3 and was able to get an appointment next day (Friday) for diagnosis. He found a broken pin which had to be ordered. It came in on Monday and the tech came out that afternoon to replace the broken pin and tested out the dishwasher to be sure that took care of the problem. Very fair price considering two service calls and rush ordering a part. Outstanding service.

I have used Capital Appliance Repair twice now for service of both my dishwasher and washing machine. Ever time I've called I've spoken to somebody immediately and gotten quick turnaround on service. I have appreciated Cliff's technical knowledge and competence to get the repairs done properly the first time on both occasions. I will use Capital Appliance again in the future.

Earned all of the above mentioned and more: Called before coming out On time Polite Did an excellent job! ...and most of all I felt comfortable with this Tech (Jayson) in my home alone! We will be calling on them again in the future with any appliance repair. Only wish they could do Warranty work.

I called on 11/3/15. Jason came the next day at exactly at the time window they said he would (he called in advance). Inspected unit, ordered the replacement part and returned the next morning and completed the repair. Very professional and courteous. Captial advertised a 10% discount on Angie's List, and I was a little disappointed that it was not intended for the bottom line figure, only for the service call. They need to express this the way it is meant by them.

Clint arrived on time. He quickly replaced the element and then turned on the oven to make sure it was working properly. we discussed a problem with the Jen Air cooktop range. He told me the problem and the appromaite costs. We will have that issue fixed by him at a later date

Scott called when he was on the way and arrived at his estimated time. He was very nice and patient. My dryer is located in a difficult to get to area. He fixed the problem and repaired by vent hose as well. Great service, nice and reasonable. Would use again!

Went very well. Offered options that if possible we could have pursued to self serve. Fact that he could do the whole job himself at a reasonable price made it easy doing business.

I called mid morning, and even though they were shorthanded, he said he would come this afternoon. He did, and immediately determined it was the heater for the freezer coils. He removed panel and it was solid Ice. He Thawed it out, got a part and installed it and we are back in business before the evening news. Mike was great, and made 2 trips so I would have it working and not lose any frozen foods. He was great, and will use again!

Scott was punctual and polite. He did not have the appropriate part to fix the problem, so he made an appointment with me to come back the following day. He showed up exactly when he said he would, and fixed the problem. I would definitely use Capital Appliance Repair again.

Sometimes you learn more about a company when things don't go well! I scheduled a service call for our Whirlpool Duet washer that wasn't working. Technician arrived on time the following day. After disassembling the washer, it was apparent that the technician did not have a lot of experience repairing this model washer. He could not locate the technical service manual that was taped to the inside panel of the machine, so he had to call someone to walk him through the diagnosis. After about an hour, he concluded that it was either the central control unit or the motor control unit, but would not commit to repairing the machine, because of the expense of the parts. He did not want to change the wrong part, and then have to eat the cost for diagnosing the problem incorrectly. The next day, I called a competitor to service the machine. They quickly diagnosed the problem, had the motor control unit on their truck, and made the repair in less than 45-minutes. Today, I called Greg Dail, the owner of Capital Appliance Repair, to request a refund for the service call they performed. After explaining the situation, Greg apologized for the poor service and explained that the technician he sent to make the repair was not very experienced, but should have reached out to someone else on their team to resolve the problem. Greg graciously offered a full refund for the service call, and apologized again for my experience. About a year ago I used Capital Appliance to repair a problem I was having with the ice maker on my refrigerator. They did a great job, which is why I called them again when the problem with our washer surfaced. I will most definitely call Capital Appliance Repair again in the future. Although my experience with a specific technician was not positive, it is obvious that the owner of the company cares about his customers and wants to assure that they are satisfied with the work performed.
