It went fine. He did good work.

I contacted David online and he got back to me with a quote within a couple of days. We had some problems trying to schedule the job because both my wife and I work. I asked him if he worked on saturdays and he said no problem. We scheduled the job the following weekend. He showed up right on time and did exactly what he said he would.

Dave came to the house when promised to look at the job and work up a quote. He gave a fair quote for the job. He started the job in the time frame that he indicated he would. If he had a hold up and could not come to the house, he called and let us know. He kept a neat and clean work site and he removed all construction debris. The workmanship was top quality. We would use him again on future projects.

David was very professional, arrived on time, and provided an estimate in writing in a timely manner. His estimate was very well priced and he did not mark up for materials. He was able to fit us into his schedule quickly. He performed the work in a craftsman-like manner and was very detail-oriented. We did not have to ask him to polish any of his work. He identified issues that might have been code problems when it came time to sell the house and repaired them. Overall he did a great job and we would highly recommend him

I felt that they were really great, they were very responsive and they said that they were going to try and save me as much money as possible, he was very friendly, and I was really impressed with them.

Mr. Ammons was prompt to get back to me with an estimated day that he could do the job. He had been very busy working overtime on other jobs, but was still willing to put me on his schedule that week. Mr. Ammons called me the night before to confirm his arrival time. I mentioned that I needed some caulking done, too, and he said he'd stop by the hardware store on his way and purchase it. He and his assitant arrived earlier that quoted which was great for us! Prior to starting the removal of the existing shower door, Mr. Ammons double-checked to make sure the shower door I had ordered would actually fit. We were a bit uncertain there for a moment, but Mr. Ammons decided that the measurements would in fact work and proceded with the job. I'm thankful he didn't just remove the shower door and then possibly find out otherwise! I left for an appointment and returned later that morning. They were still working on the job. It took about four hours to complete the removal and installation of the shower doors, remove the existing and install a new shower arm, plus the extensive amount of caulking that had to be done in two full bathrooms. I think it was definitely money well spent and would not hesitate to call him again.

David Ammons called and emailed to set up an appointment. Confirmed the appointment and showed up on time. He scoped the job, provided an estimate when he said he would and once we agreed on a design he got me into his schedule. The job was done in less than three days and we could not be more impressed with his work. The pergola looks great, he did no damage to the yard and cleaned up the job site after the work was done.

Mr. Ammons was prompt in attending our meetings, returning phone calls, and especially in installing the fence. He was also courteous and very helpful in all of our encounters. The fence is exactly as I wanted it and I will definitely use him again! Job well done!

Mr. Ammons responded to my email in a timely manner and we scheduled an appointment for him to come to my home to see all the things I need to have done. He arrived for our appointment on time and was very informative during our tour. Unfortunately, he never sent me his quote and I have not heard from him since that appointment. We had tentatively agreed to use his services when he was at our home and are very disappointed that he has not followed through with his promises.

Working with David Ammons was a very pleasant experience. This project was not simple. The bonus room is full of angles and was not squared properly when it was built. He did excellent work to fix the room's squareness while handling partial cathedral ceilings that needed to be fired out in order to have the proper depth for ventilation and insulation of the roof. His work is very neat and clean. He works efficiently and is always timely. He will definitely be coming back to do the finish carpentry.

David Ammons (owner) of Ammons General Carpentry responded to our initial email requesting information & a meeting to discuss within a day or two. On the day of our appointment David showed up on time and was very courteous. He listened to our desires, questions and offered suggestions. He took the needed measurements and said he would be back in touch with a quotation. Within a week we received his quote and explanation of work to be done. Everything was in order, and his price was competitive with our other quotes. Although we did not use him it was a pleasure working with him during the initial meetings, phone calls. We would definitely recommend Ammons General Carpentry to anyone needing deck work.

I have worked with many contractors but David is truly a craftsman and is by far the best I have worked with in many years. From his prompt arrival time, easy going nature and outstanding quality of work I hope to use him for all future projects and will be a reference for him anytime.

I was impressed with Mr. Ammons on his visit to give an estimate for the job. He took a lot of time looking at the exterior of my house with me, answering all my questions, making suggestions, pointing out areas that needed repairing. There was damage in places under the old siding, a window casing had to be replaced etc. He did all this in a timely, courteous, and friendly manner. He showed up when he said he would, kept me informed of the progress of the work, and finished when he said he would. He worked Saturdays if necessary. He kept any inconvenience to me at a minimum. Old materials were hauled away and debris cleaned up from my yard. He did several small repair jobs that were not in his original estimate at no extra charge, he even caulked around my bathtub for me. His work is excellent. I will definitely be calling him for other repair work.

David and his colleague did a tremendous job. He provided a quote over the phone, came to the house to take measurements and identify a material list, then returned as scheduled with all materials to perform the job. When the job was done, David charged exactly what was quoted over the phone and not a penny more. The gates match the deck perfectly - it looks like our deck was built with the gates installed from the beginning. They also function flawlessly and the white stain that was applied looks terrific. Our property was left neat and clean when the job was done. Overall, the craftsmanship was excellent and far exceeded our expectations. Will definitely call Ammons General Carpentry again for any carpentry or home repairs needed in the future.

David came out on a Monday and began work on Tuesday. We went on an hourly rate due to the nature of the job and I was beyond impressed with the speed at which he worked. He ALWAYS showed up on time and worked EFFICIENTLY. When he was finished, I was very pleased with the quality of his work. He will be my "go to guy" in the future for general handyman type repairs and services. I have been working on remodeling and additions to my home for over three years and David Ammons is one of the few people who have worked on my home that I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

David was available to give me a fast and accurate estimate. He also was willing to work into the evenings to get the work completed as soon as possible (the house was unoccupied, and I was hoping to complete the work quickly to get the house on the rental market). David had worked previously on some carpentry repairs at our residence, and we were extremely happy with the quality of the repairs and with his work ethic. He was the only person I had in mind to call when we bought this additional property. I love that he is able to do a huge variety of handyman jobs in addition to just woodwork - he's pretty much a one-stop-shop for many types of repairs that have come up since we moved up here to Raleigh. Right now he is working on researching how to best clean and polish some exterior copper accents on the new house - he makes an effort to expand his scope of services in response to customer needs.
