+ -1 moreAnd now for Part 2: I decided a year and a half later to give them another chance after listening to the continued testimonials on radio. (They must spend a lot of money on radio advertising) I called Zerorez in mid-July 2011 and was going to schedule a carpet cleaning in my new home. I didn't want to experience a recurrence of last year's fiasco so before scheduling the appointment, I asked to speak with the owner, Chad, as a preventative measure. I was told he was out of the office and would call me the next day. It is now 3 weeks later and no call from Chad. I've decided my earlier experience was not a fluke and this apparently is the norm. I am in the process of calling the other carpet cleaning company and have completely written-off Zerorez from any future consideration.
Description of Work: Part 1: I contacted Zerorez to clean our carpets in early Spring of 2010. They do a lot of advertising on WPTF so I thought I would give them a try. The appointment was set a week in advance. On the day of the cleaning, they didn't show-up when scheduled so I waited about 45 minutes and then called their office. I was told they would look into it and call me back. They returned the call about 30 minutes later and told me their truck broke down and would not be able to get to my home later in the day to do the job. I asked why they didn't proactively contact me earlier and got a 'talk in circle' type response. I then asked to speak to the owner, Chad. I was told he was on the road and will call me the next day. When I didn't hear from Chad 5 days later, I called them again and asked to speak with him. Again, I was told he was on the road and would call me the next day. Several days later I received a call from Chad's office apologizing for the mishap and offered to clean a room free of charge. I told them I wasn't interested in doing business with a company whose owner is so insensitive to customer's concerns and requests. If that's the level of customer sensitivity in a pre-sale situation, imagine the treatment after the sale. I contacted another company and received exceptional service and quality of work.

+ -1 moreWe spent about $1500 on that service. The carpet cleaning was great, but they have a lot of backend services that they really try to force on us like duct cleaning and filter replacements. The expensive filter replacements we got from them, our heating and air-conditioning people told us not to use because they over tax the system. They do filter very well, but they over tax the system and cause the heating and air-conditioning to go out quicker, so it is not a bargain there. They can be quite pricey. The carpet cleaning was good, but we don’t know if we would call them again.
Description of Work: We use Zerorez for carpet cleaning. The last time we used them was about a year ago.

+ -1 moreZerorez showed up on time. Since i had lost the bet with my wife as to who would be here while the service was provided, I appreciated the puctuality. I showed them what we wanted done, along with pointing out a couple of small stains that a previous provider could not get to come up. Chris quickly got work, did not waste any time and finished. Our carpets look terrific, the stains the other provider could not get out are gone and i did not loose an entire Friday sitting around waiting!!! Our tech, Chris could not have been nicer or more professional.

+ -1 moreVery professional service - personable, friendly and very knowledgeable. I really liked that the carpets were barely wet - they dried quickly. Texture was improved and great job overall. I found this to be more expensive than prior cleaners, but service really was superior. The carpets do seem that they will stay cleaner longer and the concept of "zerorez" and zero residue does make sense. I would have liked to have had 2 extra bedrooms done in just the traffic area, but the additional $48 each was just too high. Overall, excellent job

+ -1 moreI knew there were stains that might not come up, but I went to the grocery store and bought a can of Resolve and the stains came right up. I paid $5 and got the stains up, yet they wanted to charge me over $200 and didn’t even get any stains up! I cancelled the check and they didn’t fight me at all over it; they knew I was right. I even took pictures.
Description of Work: I hired them to clean my carpets. I have kids and I know there were a few stains here and there. I pointed out where the stains were. They came and cleaned it, but when they left and it dried you could still see the stains.

+ -1 moreProfessionalism was outstanding especially when our old landlord(who will be receiving their own review...) tried to have Zerorez bill us for work that they requested after they had signed off on our final walk through. I was able to work with Zerorez and have those additional charges directed back to the landlord with very little hassle. Excellent customer service and I will be using them in the future.
Description of Work: We were required to have a final carpet cleaning done per our lease. I called Zerorez because of a 3 room special they advertised on the radio. They cleaned the three carpeted bedrooms plus two closets for $160.00. The carpets look great. Simply put, the services are performed as described at an excellent price.

+ -1 moreI heard an add on WPTF radio that there was a three-room special from the company. I confirmed the price and scheduled an appointment. As you may know, the whole idea behind ZeroRes is that they don't use chemicals that leave a residue. But when the guy gets to my house and has already unloaded all of his gear and brought it into the house, he casually mentions that if there have been pets in the house, he will have to use a chemical treatment that will cost $40-50 more! This was obviously a classic bait-and-switch. HOW MANY HOUSES DO THEY CLEAN THAT DON'T HAVE PETS? Certainly not anything near as many as they clean that do have pets.
Description of Work: Carpet was cleaned in three rooms. It took about 35 minutes.

He let us know what else his company did such as cleaning ducts and tile but did not pressure us into doing anything else. He was just informative. We would use this company again definitely.

+ -1 moreI contacted the company through the Internet, which supposedly yielded a 10% discount. He arrived at the agreed upon time, was very courteous, demonstrated his product and proceeded to clean our carpets. They were dry to the touch in less than 4 hours. We had been told that they do not move furniture, but we were able to remove all furniture except for a dining room table under which we had placed hard plastic movers. He said moving the table on these was not a problem. Our carpets were noticeably cleaner.
Description of Work: Servicing from a well equipped truck, Bryce cleaned the carpets in my dining room, living room, and bedroom. He demonstrated using his own water (which he indicated was normal H2O, changed to H4O) when mixed with his cleaning solution yield a clear solution and foam. When using regular tap water and his cleaning solution the yield was cloudy water. He indicated that the impurities from the tap water and the cleaning solution remain suspended in the tap water mixture and thus coated the carpet fibers. The foam in his hydrogenated solution captured the impurities, which were vacuumed up. He sprayed my carpets with the cleaning solution, then with the truck mounted equipment pressurized hydrogenated water was forced into the carpet and the foam and excess water removed with his truck mounted vacuum. Following the cleaning he sprayed our carpets with what he called a "better than Scotch-guard" soil retardant.

+ -1 moreZERO REZ DOES A GOOD JOB OF MAKING THE CARPET LOOK CLEAN AND NEAT. THEY USED SAFE CHEMICALS ON THE FLOOR THAT DOESN'T DO ANY DAMAGE TO THE CARPET. THEY ARE ALSO VERY GOOD AT USING CHEMICALS THAT KEEP THE AIR HEALTHY FOR MY CHILDREN.
