Description of Work: Short answer: Replaced garage door and opener. Originally on 8/29/16 the garage door was making a noise and was opening and closing very slowly (slower than usual). We called one company and their service person told us about the age of our door and how it was literally 'falling apart' and the recommendation was to get it replaced. We were quoted a price and told the service person we would think about it and get back to them. We had a coupon for a reduced rate for the inspection but the service person would not honor it at first. He eventually called his company manager and they told him to honor the coupon but the onsite person insisted we should pay more since we were deferring the service. After he left, our garage door would not come up. We were so frustrated with the service person, we decided to call Open Up Garage Door, Inc. Jeremy answered the call and stated he could come at a time convenient to us so we scheduled an appointment for 9/6/16 after the holiday. Upon inspection of our door, Jeremy determined the brace that held the chain to pull the door up was bent beyond repair. Since the door was 17 years old, we asked for an estimate of a new door and possibly an opener. Jeremy gave us a quote after telling us what needed to be done. We agreed and had an entire new system installed which included a keypad outside the garage, a better garage opener, trim kit, belt for a quieter system, and the ability to control the system via our smart phones so no remote needed in every car. We love it.

As it turned out, before we called them, we tried to get the door to raise and evidently damaged the opener by doing so. I called them they returned the same day to diagnose and fixed the problem.

 + -1 moreSet up appointment with Jeremy Dabbs for between 10 AM and 12 PM. Jeremy called to let me know he was 30 minutes out and arrived within the scheduled time frame. I wanted to have the garage door and opener inspected prior to any inspection by a potential buyer. Jeremy suggested the Angie's List tuneup for $135 which included replacing the OEM rollers with nylon rollers, performing any minor adjustments and testing the garage door and opener for functionality and safety. The Angie's List tune-up price was lower than using the coupon. He also provided and set up two new universal Liftmaster remotes, which are working well.
Description of Work: I misplaced the remotes on my Liftmaster garage door opener and had to have them replaced. I also wanted to have the garage door opener inspected as I am currently selling my home.

A neighbor recommended this company and Jeremy and then I looked to see if he was on Angie's List. There he was! Jeremy arrived at the scheduled time after calling to let me know he was on his way. He was efficient and professional. Jeremy answered all my questions and concerns. I would highly recommend Jeremey and Open Up Garage Door.
