Referred by my insurance company. The estimator was rude and difficult to communicate with. The project manager seemed like he was doing me a huge favor and referred to another multi million dollar home/project several times. He called the day before the first job was to start and told he the company was pulling out. I was fully refunded and regard this as a blessing in disguise. I am handling the multi projects on my own. I would NOT recommend.

Initially went well...came out quickly ask for 50% before starting on floors. Difficult to communicate as they subcontracted all the people and they spoke very little English. Stained wrong color had to re sand and then was annoyed with this. While working on floor and I heard a board crack they kept using the wood then left it with large crack there and many defects. I called them to come back they gave me a bottle of wood putty and told me.to fill the defects because that was all.they would do. Put one coat of polyurethane on and they never came back to fix all the Problems. In addition to this insurance company dropped us after 10 years. It gets worse now 3 years later and nails coming up and floors look horrible we are having the floors redone because not safe with kids etc... The new company revealed that the sub flooring should have been replaced and the floors were sanded so much that we cannot salvage.

Terrible. This company was recommended to us by our insurance company. They did come out immediately to do the drying. After that it was a nightmare. It took them over 2 weeks just to give us an estimate, then another 2 weeks for project manager to come out. They kept promising to get us on the schedule which they never did And here we are 2 months later and none of the repairs have been done. We finally had to fire them and go with another company

I have never dealt with such a fantastic, reliable, and reasonable service firm as Spangler. Due to unanticipated family events they have waited patiently for two years to start our mold remediation work. Our Spangler Project Manager is very knowledgeable, communicative, and super great to work with. We received several quotes from Mold Remediation firms and not one of them came close to the responsiveness of Spangler. We are so glad we went with such a well-respected firm. I highly recommend them for any kind of home restoration work.

First day they were over three hours late and NO COURTESY phone call. As a matter of fact they were late every time by hours. Placed new vinyl down knowing that there was another water leak behind washing machine. When my plumber came the vinyl wasn't down more then 2 hrs so the glue wasn't dried and the vinyl ripped. Another week delay while I'm living in a hotel as I can't get upstairs to use other bathroom. House is now to dusty and I'm having asthma attacks every time I have to go back home. Work wasn't finished but I was repeated told to sign papers so they could get insurance check. I became afraid of him pushing the papers at me and yelling so I signed them under EXTREME DURESS so he would leave my house. I was suppose to have four (4) hours of cleaning, they were 1/2 hr late, took 1/2 hr lunch, and flow out of my house 1/2 hr early. Kitchen never cleaned, never moved end table in living room, didn't vacuum couch, loveseat or chairs. Was suppose to vacuum the drapes and wipe down all the blinds - never happened. They were suppose to move items back to the correct closet, move furniture, etc but I'm a handicapped senior who ended up in terrible pain as the three girls didn't want to listen to me and I did more work then I should have done. (I tried three times to upload one picture of master bedroom with everything from the closets stacked up to show how much help I needed - can't tell it's attached)
Description of Work: Water damage when water tank broke flooding the dining room, bathroom, three closets, and master bedroom. Needed new padding under carpets after they had dried. New vinyl in master bathroom, side of vanity replaced as it had wicked the water causing the wood to buckle and split. New baseboard in bathroom, and bedroom plus painted them. Estimate stated cleaning in all rooms and placing furniture back in appropriate rooms. Example - Dining room was in the living room.

Description of Work: The Spangler crew arrived promptly when called about water damage from a defective toilet part, which had caused water damage from 2nd floor bath to 1st floor office and powder room. They installed dehumidifiers and powerful heated fans to help eliminate damage from the leak, reducing further issues with mold growth. No moisture was detected when they removed the units today, reducing other repair costs.

From start to finish, this was a fantastic experience. Unlike other companies, Spangler was upfront and honest, did not use scare tactics as others had done, and did the work required and did not try to upsell me. The project manager's communication was outstanding, as well as his follow up. If anyone tells you your crawlspace has moisture issues, don't waste your time with companies that want you to invest thousands and thousands in dehumidifers and encapsulation or mold remediation--call these guys for the truth and for professionalism every step of the way.

They showed up immediately. They were recommended to me. I called the guy and he was here within an hour. They were unbelievable. The insurance covered the cost. They coordinated everything both with the insurance and all of the subcontractors that needed to do the repair work including walls and painting and floors. If I ever had to, I would use these guys again in a heartbeat. I can't say enough good things about them. Everybody was fantastic. It was a stage process. The cleanup and the setting up of the fence was the first day and the other work had to run through Sunday then they came back on Monday, took it out on Tuesday. The next guy showed up. When he was done, the carpet guy showed up. It was very organized, very impressive. When it was done, the cleaning girls came to make sure everything was okay and cleaned 2 rooms from top to bottom.

The Spangler folks were very prompt in responding to my call. They came out quickly and were courteous. However, the technician started cutting out the drywall with a reciprocal saw before properly protecting my floor and adjacent grandfather clock. The sheetrock debris was allowed to fall on the unprotected hardwood floor and the clock. I was not pleased with this level of care. We also discovered that the dehumidifier settings were incorrect for the first two days of drying, necessitating an extra two days of droning noise after they were replaced and set properly. After demolition on the bathroom floor, they returned to fully dry out the subfloor. This went fine. Overall, I was marginally pleased with their performance. There are probably better choices available. I decided not to use them for the rebuilding part of the project because I did not feel like I would receive the necessary care of my home.

This company handled all the restoration services on my home after a sewer water back-up problem. They were punctual, friendly, helpful and handled everything from the initial mitigation efforts, to lining up the subcontractors to move my furniture, replace wood and vinyl flooring in several rooms in my home. We were extremely pleased with all the work that was done. Elizabeth Porter handled the project management role. She was helpful, worked well with the insurance company and under her management a very stressful situation became much easier. This company even came through and cleaned everything after all the work was done. I would definitely recommend them.

Unfortunately STOP (Service Team Of Professionals) was not our first contractor. Only after our previous contractor showed us that he would not be able to work with our insurance company did we broaden our search and chose STOP to do the job. Their approach (Josh and Sandy) was thoroughly professional. They were able to communicate with the insurance company and were willing to bend over backwards to get this job completed. They stayed in touch and were always available to answer any questions. The total process took approximately 5 1/2 weeks and the actual work was about 3 1/2 weeks. During the work issues came up (as had been explained to us) and they were dealt with promptly and at no additional cost. They constantly surprised us with the level of detail that was provided. For instance we had a lighting fixture that had paint on it from the prior owner's painting contractor, although this obviously had nothing to do with the job at hand, when the area was being repainted they (Ralph) cleaned the fixture. This was never pointed out to us, the work was done because this group is professional and were so customer oriented and this was only one example, there were many. All the people they had working on this job were trustworthy and serious professionals who obviously cared about what they were doing. I would use them again and enthusiastically recommend them to anyone needing repair work to their home.
Description of Work: After moving into our new home a slow leak developed from the refrigerator's ice maker and destroyed a good portion of our hardwood flooring throughout the kitchen and into our family area. STOP (Service Team Of Professionals) were able to provide a reasonable and supportable quote (necessary for insurance reimbursement) and then proceeded to go above and beyond in their mold, mitigation, and repair work.

Description of Work: My water heater had a major leak and being on the top floor. It poured through the ceiling and down the walls even into the bathroom on the other side of the home. Service Team of Professionals came out within 6hrs of damage within one hour of my call.Daniel came and was very professionalc knowledgeable and throrough. He explained everything in detail and quickly got the drying and mold prevention going. The STOP office answers very quickly and no matter who I spoke to they all seemed to know about my personal situation and worked very well as a team. My questions were always answered very quickly and they had full disclosure up front about costs with a detailed summary of services in email form which I thought was convenient. Also when my insurance adjuster came to my home Daniel met and spoke with him for me to describe the true damage that was done so I didn't have to worry. I think due to that interaction my adjuster was generous with coverage to the point we were not even out of pocket our deductible! And yet the STOP company did not insist on "boosting their fees" to the insurance claim. After the drying process Josh the owner quickly sent an estimate of fees for repairs. The cost was very low to what I expected! Ralph was the contractor that came out. He not only repaired any damage very well but he also when above and beyond showing my husband and myself other damages to the home that we didn't even realize and did a few touchups at no additional costs to us (including getting on the roof and looking at our gutter system!). We have had two "gutter professionals" in the past come to look at our gutters and they didn't find the problems that he found in 5 minutes. He has a very large knowledge base that he is not selfish with. Excellent work for a very reasonable cost. All in all their honesty, integrity, and work ethic is phenomenonal and I would definitely recommend them to others!

I am very pleased with the care and efficiency that Sandy Porter and Shelton had for me and our home. I especially appreciated their checking with the meter instruments under the house, so that we could know if any other work needed to be done. I used a 10% off coupon from Angie's List. It helped so that the repairs were only approximately $180.00 rather than $200.00. Hip Hip Hooray. I trust Josh Spangler, Sandy Porter, and Shelton from Service Team of Professionals to help me. A big thank you. They helped me relax knowing that even though this was the 2nd water leak close to a year apart, that they would help me get everything back to its rightful condition. Sincerely, Joan Y. Edwards
Description of Work: I had a hot water leak in the master bath room. The plumber cut through the drywall in the garage and fixed the leak, so that it wasn't messed up in the bathroom. However, the water made the caulking above the baseboard came away and loose from the wall. I called Josh Spangler from STOP. He said he'd have his project manager, Sandy Porter, call me. Sandy called me and then came by and looked at the situation. He said we'd have to mud and paint the drywall in the garage. He would have to send a man to check under the house the next day to make sure that it was dry there. Shelton came by and checked under the house. He had instruments to tell how much humidity and moisture was in the air in the bathroom and under the house. Everything was normal. He said he would come back after Porter did the estimate cost after looking at the photos he took and what he told Porter. Shelton came on Wednesday, put new caulking and repainted the bathroom baseboard. He mudded the drywall in the garage. Shelton came the next day to put a second coat of drywall mudding. However, the first coat wasn't dry. He said he would come back. Shelton came back when it was dry and put the second coat of mudding, dried it with a heater. And painted it. Shelton said that STOP would send me an invoice for the repairs.

Josh and i had several conversations leading up to me choosing his team to complete the work. He was very forth-coming about how the project would unfold. I reviewed several companies before i finally decided on STOP - Josh's willingness to talk with me during my "disovery" process was a contributing factor. Josh's team arrived on time and on the day he said and began work right away. Minor issues were raised with Josh as the team progressed and Josh immediately took care to resolve. After their work was complete, i had an independent mold assessment group come and review their work to ensure my mold problem was gone. I think the best compliment that can be paid to Josh and his team was for this independent inspector to tell me "if he didn't know there was mold in this crawl space before, he couldn't tell it now." I would recommend Josh and his team to anyone looking to have a mold issue addressed.
Description of Work: I had Josh and his team come out to remediate mold in my crawl space. That involved removing and disposal of all existing insulation, scrubbing and hepa-vacumming affected areas and finally installing new insulation. This was accomplished over a three day period.

Josh Spangler from Service Team of Professionals came to our house and gave me an estimate. I was almost in tears. Seeing my house messed up from water damage was stressful. Josh tried to assure me that these things are hard to see. After the insurance adjuster approved of certain repairs and restoration, I signed a contract with him. The primary people that worked on this restoration for Josh Spangler and Service Team of Professionals was Ralph and his son, James. They were very polite. Ralph has been in the construction business for over 20-25 years. He knows how to do it correctly. James helped bring in the equipment he needed. He painted the walls and stained the shoe mold in front of the cabinets. They put down sturdy brown paper to protect our wood floors in the hallways. They put down a plastic covering on the floor to protect our carpets. They were punctual. They left the areas clean at the end of each day. They stored materials and equipment on the right side of our garage. I moved my car out so they would have room to move back and forth. Josh told me what they were going to do overall. Each day his workers would tell me what they planned to do that day. I took pictures of first damage and then the amazing progress of the work. If I had any questions, or concerns and asked Josh to come, he came within 30 minutes. Rite Rug company came and laid the new linoleum floor. They took many steps to insure the flooring was laid properly and smoothly. Service Team of Professionals has three outstanding traits that built my trust in them: 1. Professional, Punctual, Polite. 2. Quality Workmanship and Materials. 3. Solves Problems and Save You Money without Sacrificing Quality. Sincerely, Joan Y. Edwards
Description of Work: We had a water leak in a pipe from the hot water heater behind a wall in the master bath commode room. It had been leaking awhile. There was mold. Wet drywall. Wet insulation. Wet sub-flooring. Emergency Response Plumbing fixed the leak. They recommended STOP - Service Team of Professionals. Since I'd used Emergency Response Plumbing for over ten years, I trusted their recommendation. Josh Spangler from Service Team of Professionals came to our house and gave me an estimate. The insurance adjuster came. Josh came so he could meet and explain how he planned to clean up and restore the area. The insurance adjuster approved what they would pay. I was very thankful to God that insurance would pay for part of it. We paid our deductible. Ralph brought me Armstrong linoleum samples so I could choose the linoleum to replace the old. They were on a huge ring. I took the ones off I liked and put them in the bathroom area to see how I liked them. I told Josh which one I had chosen. He ordered it when they first got started demolishing the damaged parts so that the linoleum would arrive and not hold up the job completion. Removed wet insulation. Removed wet sub-flooring. Removed linoleum floor and the plywood under it. Treated mold areas of wood with chemicals to kill it. Removed commode. Removed wet drywall. Removed door from commode room. Dried out area with 2 fans and dehumidifier for 4 days. Painted mold areas after they dried with sealant. Put in new subflooring. Put new drywall. Patched new drywall with old drywall. Josh subcontracted Rite Rugs. They Put in new plywood under linoleum. Laid new linoleum floor in commode room and other parts of the bathroom area. Put new metal strips at 2 doorways in bigger bathroom area. Put new baseboard. Put new shoemold (quarter round) Sanded drywall. Painted 2 coats of paint over most of commode room. Painted 3 coats where new drywall had been put in. Painted baseboard. Painted shoe molding (quarter round) Caulked at base of shoe molding (quarter round) Reinstalled commode. Put new wax ring on commode. Put new insulation in crawlspace where the wet insulation had been removed. They removed any materials that may have fallen to the crawlspace. Replaced door to commode room. We also paid a separate fee of $200.00 for fixing our shower that had leak issues. Jeff showed me where the aluminum tracks had no caulking where the metals met. He showed me where the weep holes in the shower pan were blocked with caulking. He removed the shower door and took apart the tracking and cleaned it. Cleaned and put the parts back together. Then he caulked the area. Removed the caulking from the weepholes. This cost $200.00. It saved us from having to purchase a new shower and rework the tiles which would have cost $3,000-5,000 or more.
