ACT OF CLASS RELOCATION INC

I was particularly impressed with the attention to detail, concern, care, and enthusiasm of the three movers. They wasted no time, asked appropriate questions, and explained every detail from the cost of the move to how they intended to handle it. They were extremely courteous and conscientious. I would strongly recommend them, and should the occasion arise, employ them again without reservation.

We moved from NY in December 05 to Charlotte awaiting our house to be built. We took a large apartment so we would not have to put everything in storage. This was only to be for 3-4 months. Unfortunately the day before closing, March 30, the builder (a very well known builder) decided they would "never meet our expectations", pulled the plug on our closing, & refused to sell us the house. We had to start from square one again to find another home. We have a big lawsuit against this builder. We lived in our apartment among over 250 boxes for 10 months & it was very unsettling. We finally closed on our new house on 10/25/06 & we had to look for a mover. We found Act of Class through Angie's List and they were wonderful. The guys who moved us were polite & always wanted to do their best for us. If I so much as lifted up a box they said that was their job & made me put it down. I would recommend them highly. At least something went well! Now cross your fingers that we win the lawsuit.

They were very nice and seemed professional. But when they moved our furniture from storage to the condo we had stuff missing. Several items have been showing up slowly. It seems as they find things we finally get them sent to us. Some things, when we got back, were damaged. We still have some things missing. They even at one point brought the wrong furniture over.

Our move did not go well from the start. When we needed to remove the 1st portion of the items, we discovered that all items were intermixed. We had to search all items to find what we needed and our items were stored in two different locations. When we moved into our home, the movers were supposed to bring our items from storage, come to our apartment and load the remaining items at 10:00 AM. They finally called & said they would have to deliver the storage items first because the truck was full. Finally at 3:30, they arrived with the first load. Indeed the truck was full - full of someone else's stored items as well as ours. In order to unload the truck, we had to search through the items to identify ours. We received a thirty minute credit for this! But we had to pay for the loading of the other people's items. We are now missing items & have items that do not belong to us. Were we paying someone else's storage also? This was the worst moving experience we have ever had.

They were a little late, but called ahead. The moving team was very responsive and polite. They worked very hard while on the job. They damaged a few things (minor), but were very upfront about what they did and remedied the situation. They also did some damage to our wall, but had someone come out and repair. As far as moving companies go, I would definitely recommend them.

We had called and asked for an estimate to move from Cornelius to Huntersville. A man came to look over the house for a move, but never sent an estimate and never responded to our calls. What's ironic is that he was the one who told us of Angie's List. We had never heard of it before.

They were very fast and very careful. Nothing was broken and I was impressed, that although they were working on an hourly basis, they hustled the entire time. As a result, the move was much shorter than I expected.

The company was efficient and the crew worked very quickly. The price was cheaper than I had anticipated. They moved our furniture, most of which is fairly lightweight, with only a couple of minor nicks and chips. My main concern was that more items might be damaged since they were working so quickly.

They were very hard workers, and brought out extra men to try and get the job done. Did not finish moving me until 11 that night.

The office staff was very helpful in determine the amount of staff and time estimated to move us. The crew showed up at the scheduled start time ready to go. They went over all the paperwork and they discussed moving logistic with us. They were very prepared with moving supplies and I didn't have to worry about my belongs. It was very hot the day of the move and the crew had to go up & down stairs to complete the 1st part of the move. They move at a very good pace. At the new home they put down runners to protect my hardwood floors. They were very polite and place everything where I instructed. The entire crew worked very hard that morning.

Steve was very prompt because we are Angie's List members for est. They were late to move us in to new house by 4.5 hours. Movers complained because we only allowed them in one door so we could check off every item from list. Supervisor wanted 1/2 the cost of the move in cash and 1/2 in a check. We could not do that especially late on a Saturday night. We contacted Steve Sullivan to let him know we wanted to meet with him ASAP on Monday. We explained to him the problems we had and provided no apologies or explanation for the poor service his company provided. I showed Steve a Vintage Asian screen that was damaged because they did not wrap it correctly. After he inspected it he argued with me about the damage being old and or new. After a few heated words Steve stood in my master bedroom and threatened me and explained to us, we did not know who we were dealing with and what he was capable of. The screen was fixed 3 weeks later. Owner is very dangerous ..... BEWARE !!!

This was our second move with Act of Class. They arrived on time, did a thoroughly professional job of protecting and loading our contents, and then unloading them at the new apartment. They were polite and friendly during the move. The entire move was done with three men in less than three hours. I will definitely use them again.

This was a positive moving experience. They sent three guys at $110 an hour + 1 hour trip charge. The 1 hour trip charge is common across all moving companies. When they arrived, they seemed to be annoyed and complained a little about the job. It took them less than 6 hours to move us out, drive to the new house and move us in. They were extremely careful in not scratching or denting the walls in the new home. I was very impressed with their skill in manuevering heavy objects up the stairs. They did drop 3 boxes down the stairs when loading but luckily nothing broke. Overall, I was very satisfied.

They did a very good job. Everything went well, no complaints whatsoever.

Hardworking guys, got the job done very quickly, no issues and very nice!

The crew arrived on time to load and were very courteous. They wrapped the door frames and padded the floors. They were very careful and worked constantly only stopping for lunch. Unloading was not as smooth due to timing issues but they sent several guys out to insure that we were taken care of. The only regret I have is that we did not walk through the house prior to their departure. When we did, we found that our bed was not properly assembled and that the dining room table was still wrapped and the hutch not assembled. It was so late when the crew left that we couldn't fault them for this, but would suggest that you walk through the entire house after the truck is unloaded. Overall we were happy with the move and nothing was broken.

Very professional, friendly and hard working. My only complaint was that they underestimated the total time by four hours (actual 10 vs 6 estimated). But I knew the 6 was low and they worked hard and efficient. I will use again.

Act of Class did a great job. The estimatation process was very professional. The cost was less than 2 other Angie's List movers. The 4-man crew worked exceptionally hard and were very pleasant to work with. Only one item was broken. It was as much our fault as it was their's. The only problem of consequence was that the truck they used was not big enough for all the furniture and boxes. They offered to go back to make a second trip at the end of the day; however, we opted to move the rest ourselves. I highly recommended.

The man that showed up was on time and very respectful. The crew was also on time. They protected our home by wrapping the banister and putting protective covering on the stairs. They were very friendly and I trusted them. While they were moving us, I was frantic and asked them to move a few extra things. They were very accommodating and made the move much less stressful. When they got to the new home, they asked us where to place things; very polite. We are going to hire them again to help us move some heavy furniture upstairs in the near future. The pricing was well worth the work and quality that we received. They certainly earned their money due to the amount of heavy furniture that we had them move.

They were very quick and professional, and I thought the prices were very reasonable. They actually send more than one person out to move you. They are also very protective of the furniture and nothing was broken.

We set up an appointment for them to come to our home and give us a moving estimate. My husband took vacation leave and drove 15 miles home. He waited and waited. No one from Act of Class ever called to say they were not coming. He called them and was told something came up. We were frustrated and did not use them.

I shopped two different moving companies and chose this one. They did a fine job: efficient and no damage. Very fair on pricing and easy to deal with. I also chose them because they rent wardrobe boxes. Note: price does not include gratuity, which is approx. 15% of total move cost.

They were very good. They did everything, packed it all up. there was nothing damaged that I have found so far. I had to leave when they were packing.

Rob came to my house and gave me an estimate of 6-8 hours. He suggested that I use 4 men. His estimate was right on as it took them 6 hours to pack, load, drive to the new location and unload. Tim and his team did a great job and were very careful with all of our belongings. They worked very hard from start to finish with a short break (15 min) between the two locations and a 15 min break for lunch. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and will be using them again when we move into our new home. These guys are excellent!

Act of Class did a very professional job. The crew was courteous and experienced. Everything was handled with care and none of our furniture was broken, scratched or damaged. The movers took care not to damage the walls or floors as they worked. They also took apart the beds and reassembled them at the new location. We were very pleased with the service we received and would not hesitate to recommend them.
