Mr. Carter gave us an estimate and was able to perform the work the following week. Rick and his crew of two arrived at 8:30 AM as I was told they would. I was pleased to see that Rick came with them to go over the work that needed to be done. They prepared the area by covering furniture and floors, repaired the drywall throughout the house, cleaned up and were finished in 5 1/2 hours. We were very pleased with the work and felt the two men who did the work were very hard workers and did a great job. We were able to take advantage of the deal offered for this company on Angie's List which was a plus. We plan to have them back for some other work that we need done in the house in the near future. All in all, it was a very good experience.

I’ve had a great experience overall! It’s a top notch company and I’ve had him do work many times over the years. He’s always does a neat job.

Everything went great. Ronnie was thorough and communicated all the steps to me as he went along. He finished the job in about 5.5 hours (had purchased the 4 hour Angie's List special) - was very happy with the work and would hire them again.

We had used Accents in the past to paint the exterior of our house and they did a great job.We didn't hesitate when we needed to have the interior painted. Very repsonisve, on time and most of all very neat. Would highly recommend.

Rick was on time for the appointment for an estimate. He checked out the work to be done and gave us an estimate the next day. We decided to use Rick and his team for painting a large portion of our house as we felt he was serious about his work, and the pricing was better than we received from others. On the scheduled day, Rick and his team were on time and he communicated well with us throughout the project. Rick and his team did a wonderful job in our house and we were very happy with the outcome. After the completion of the painting project, we decided to use him for an additional paint project in our house a couple of weeks later. We may have more painting work in the future and will definitely use Rick again.

Great work and great people. We had previous experience with other house painters who slapped on the paint and were gone in one day. Rick and his crew are the opposite. We never felt like they were trying to rush through the job. They paid careful attention to all the details, from preparation to clean-up, and we really felt like they were working to get things done the right way. The end result is that our house looks clean, beautiful, and new. We would definitely call them again.

Work began on time each day, and on occasion my schedule was accomodated. Everyone was courteous, and professional. The quality of the work is outstanding. The kitchen is beautiful! I can't wait to start another project in the house with them.

It was the best painting experience I had ever had and will gladly use them again... My mother was buying this house as she was moving from Virginia to be closer to her grandchildren. Living 5 hours away made it difficult for her to deal with a lot of contractors so she asked for my help. When she bought the house she knew that she wanted all the rooms repainted as the previous owners had much different taste in paint then she did. I got 2 people from Angie's list and 2 people from our Realtor to bid on the work. I liked the reviews I read about this company because they said they were clean and detailed and I tend to be very picky about my paint lines being straight and how clean they leave the house. My mother was planning on closing on the house on a Monday and moving in on that Friday. We were looking for someone who could work with this schedule. We also only had a 3 hour window for bids, since we didn't own the house yet and were getting the bids done while we were doing the home inspection. Rick gladly worked with us and arrived promptly at the scheduled time to bid the work. He asked a number of questions about what we wanted done, spent a little time walking around the house, and then as promised had emailed me a bid that night. I was delighted to see his bid come in, because he beat the other bids by a couple hundred dollars, and by the previous reviews, I was expecting him to be higher. We offered him the job with the condition that he had to be able to work around our closing schedule. He said he would be glad to hold the date and was willing to with us on the other details too. The details being my mother had no idea what color she wanted and we were not sure how we were going to get him into the house after closing and she is never available by phone as she is on conference calls all day long. Rick was super flexible which was great as my mother had a lot going on. He worked almost 100% over email with us. He allowed her to send him the paint colors the night before painting began, so she would have plenty of time to decide. She ended up picking colors from 2 different paint companies, so Rick used 2 different paints as he wanted to make sure the colors she picked matched exactly. Rick continued to be flexible to help us out. when we closed on the house, they only had one key to give us, and we were not sure how we would get a key to Rick and get one to my mom in Virginia. Rick drove to my agent?s office to get a key and was happy to have 2 other keys made for us. I stopped by the next morning to get the key from him. When I walked in I was really impressed by all the prep they were doing and all the care they took to protect the wood floors and granite counter tops. Rick's team had brown paper and tape everywhere protecting the other surfaces in the house. They also were touching up spots everywhere on the walls even where I didn't know blemishes existed; they were very thorough on their prep. They painted all the walls as promised and even added an extra coat in a few places to ensure perfect coverage. All the companies that bid on the work told us that they didn't think they could get all the work done before the move in on Friday. We accepted this as fact and figured we would just have to work aroud it. Rick asked us which rooms had the biggest furniture or were the most important, and said that he would do those rooms first, but also didn't believe they could finish the job before Friday. To our surprise, him and his team worked extra hours and completed the entire job before our move in, making it much easier on us and making us very happy. We were also extremely happy with the cleanup, as they had vacuumed and wet swifter cleaned all the floors before they left. I examined all the walls closely and they did an excellent job. Paint lines are straight, patch work cannot been seen, and all the old dark colors are covered completely. It was just a great experience when it comes to having work done. If you are having painting, I recommend these guys 100%. Summary: - Extremely flexible: worked with us almost 100% over email, allowed us to provide colors the day before painting, (one small room we provided 2 days later than that), he came to us to us 20 mins away to get a key, he had extra keys made for us, used different paint brands for 100% match of color - Excellent work: fixed all the blemishes, covered dark colors by adding extra coats at 0 charge, lines were extremely straight at trim and ceiling - Clean: They covered all the surfaces surrounding their work, they vacuumed and wet swifter the floors - Over-delivered: They worked longer hours to finish before the promised date, to help us out and did it all for a very good price. - Use these guys, you'll be happy you did.

It went fantastic for such a large job. They are so very professional and did a wonderful job in every area they worked. They always use drop cloths and plastic everything and are very careful which is so key in any house but really important in an older home. I cannot say enough good things about Rick and his crew! They did a fantastic job and due to the large amount of work done and having to go up and down a scaffolding outside of my house to do the work to get into the attic without coming through my house, I feel like the price was very fair and well worth it. Again, it was a truly wonderful experience with Rick and his crew!

I called this company and we had an appointment for 5-6pm for an estimate. The guy said he had another appointment before mine at 4 and he would be to my house right around 5. I gave him my cell number so he could contact me. I left work early on the day of the appointment and waited for him until after 6pm. He then called me AFTER the expiration of his show up window telling me that he would be there in 20 minutes telling me he was tied up. I said you were supposed to have been here between 5 and 6. He then lied, or mis-remembered, and said, "I said I'd be there around 6". I told me that he did not. I told him that he should have called during the time time I was waiting and advised that he would not make the appointment. I have things to do and it should have been my choice to re-schedule or wait. I was expecting him to apologize and offer to re-schedule or determine if I would wait for him. He said "maybe I am not the contractor for you." and then HUNG UP ON ME. I immediately called back and told him that "you just hung up on me because I told you that you shoudl have called earlier? That was rude". He then lied and said, he thought our conversation was over (I never said goodbye and I was waiting to discuss waiting vs. re-scheduling). He then said that he was having a bad day. I tried to use this company because of their Angie's list rating. I had probably 3/4 of a 3,000 sq ft house to get painted. It irks me when I am trying to offer business to someone (in this economy) and they think they can act rudely. My time is valuable and I don't exect it to be wasted, nor do I expect to be hung up on when I have a legitimate complaint. He clearly showed me how he might treat him if I had issues with his work and called with concerns.

We used Accents Painting a couple years ago for our great room and hallway. This year we needed assistance and repairs to our great room that had water damage from a roof leak and called Accents again for their services. As expected, the work was top quality and we are very satisfied. In March we decided to have the kitchen painted - again we called our friends at Accents for their expertise. Finally, in late March we decided to have our exterior painted. There was a lot f repairs needed, and the Accents team did a top-notch job on that, and kept me informed of the costs and extent of the repairs throughout the project.It was determined that we needed to replace the French doors to the deck, and Accents was able to refer an installation specialist to complete that task. The exterior looks fabulouos and we are very pleased with the work the team completed. They are professional, very polite and were very accommodating when we had challenges determining a coolor for the exterior. We are very satisfied with Accents and would highly recommend them.

The work went very well. We have used Accents in the past and are satisfied return customers. We feel comfortable with Rick Carter and his company and have recommended them to others. You will get good work from them and they are careful about their work which is important to us.

As written above, I am not aware of why we had a lack of communication but would rectify my previous statements on this company that I submitted earlier on April 6, 2010.

This is the second time I've used Rick and his crew. They are more than just painters - they're also very good carpenters and minor electricians. Rick's bids won't be the cheapest, but I always feel like I get more than just a paint job when I use them. Rick runs his business like a business owner, not like a painter: he communicates consistently with his customers throughout the job, he manages his crew tightly and regularly inspects the work. Once they get started and issues came up, they were resolved without me feeling nickeled and dimed to death. Because of the cold, wet winter, this whole project took about 6 weeks to complete, and I always felt like Rick and his crew were sensitive to the inconvenience and disruption this type of project causes and did everything in their power to minimize these. What makes these guys really stand out is the care they take to leave EVERYTHING the way it was when they're done. Daily clean-up is always performed and I was asked to inspect all areas of their work during the final clean-up to make sure every porch chair was in the right place, no debris was left in the yard, etc.

They did all of this work in two and half days and did an excellent job. They were courteous and clean and were very careful to plastic up everything and anything that needed to be covered. They were fantastic to work with and I will definitely use them again. I have been through 6 different painters in the past three years and each and every one disappointed me due to poor painting or damage to my home, so I can honestly say it was a pleasure to with Accents Painting!

They did an A+ job. They were perfect, and they did exactly what the Angie?s List reports said they would do. They painted seven or eight rooms, including closets, and we were very happy with them.

Rick came out right away to give me a detailed estimate of the services to be performed. He was very professional and provided me with an estimate in a timely manner. I received two other estimates (both were significantly cheaper than Rick) but decided to have Rick and his staff performed the services for me. Rick and his staff worked on my home for a total of about 12 to 14 days. They arrived each day at the arranged time and work very efficiently and with a sense of purpose. Rick provided me with daily progress reports and made me aware of any concerns that came up during the job. Overall, I was very satisfied with the entire experience and plan to use Rick again for future services. Accents Painting Co is certainly not the cheapest painting company in the Charlotte area but if you are looking for overall quality and professionalism look no further than Accents Painting Co.

Rick and his crew did a terrific job. We received estimates from multiple painters and Rick was the only one who asked and used for the exact paint brand and colors that we wanted. This fact was extremely important to my wife since she had spent hours looking at samples trying to decide the exact colors she wanted. We painted the kitchen red and Rick and his crew did 6 coats of paint plus an additional coat of primer to make sure the red was the shade it was suppose to be (we were only quoted three coats [max] for this color on the estimate). Rick and his crew were able to finish the job ahead of schedule which really helped since we had not moved into the house yet. Overall, Rick's painting was an excellent investment in our home.

Rick was very prompt to my inquiry and provided a very clear and detailed estimate of work. The painters did a great job. They were very professional and diligent in their work. The always protected the floors and other items. They were very meticulous in their painting. If we ever identified an issue with the painting, they were quick to make repairs wherever it was needed. We were very pleased with the quality of their work. Their prices tend to be on the higher end, but you pay for quality. They definitely deliver a quality service. This was the best experience I ever had with a contractor. When we are ready to perform more painting inside or outside our home, we will be calling Rick. I highly recommend Accents Professional Painting.

Rick was prompt in responding to our request for a proposal. Indications from Angies List customers had shown that he was not cheap but that the work performed was worth the price so we went with Rick even though many quotes were lower. We were surprised that the time quoted was so long (3 weeks) but trusted him when he explained the amount of work they would do for the prep to ensure a great finished product. Rick was there every day to check on the work done the previous day and his crew was always prompt, courteous and on time. Their work was excellent, they taped up and covered everything that would be exposed, they prepped all the walls and ceilings thoroughly and they cleaned up their work areas every day. Rick and his supervisor were very helpful and cooperative, even to the extent of repainting areas where we changed our minds about the colors. The job was finished on time and at the price quoted and we would recommend Ricks company to anyone needing a first class job with a finish that they would be happy to live with.

Rick Carter and his team did a great job. They were very responsive, thorough and did a great prep and paint job. I liked how they took appropriate time to prep everything. This is the most important part to a decent paint job. I have used Accents Professional Painting before and will definitely use them again in the future.

Accents did a lot of exterior painting including refinishing doors. They didn't get paint or mess on the shrubbery or on any thing else. We would use them again if we needed to.

I found this company through Angie's List. I contacted Rick who was very prompt on getting back in touch and giving an estimate. They came in at the quoted price. The workers are very neat while working and clean up when finished. They are polite and professional. I have been very happy with the way that the business is handled and am more than happy to recommend them to my interior design clients.
