Very disappointed in difference between Angie's list ad and actual cost. Ad stated that for the 4 hours of work, generally a small room could be stripped. When initial estimate was completed (after I had already paid for 4 hours!) I was told it would take at least 8 hours to strip one wall, not one room, but one wall only. Total cost for one wall was $310.00. I will not believe the special deals on Angie's List in the future, the 'catch' on this one was way to big! Work was satisfactory but so far from the ad description as to be ridiculous.

We were very impressed with Rick Carter as soon as he came to the house to give us an estimate for the job we wanted performed. Rick took copious notes, and pointed out all tasks that would be performed and things that would be repaired while doing the job (something other paint companies failed to do). We had removed popcorn ceiling from all other rooms in the house, and asked Rick about his process, which matched our experience, but with greater attention to surface prep. His estimated time to do the job also seemed more realistic than that provided by others, some of which were half the time Rick estimated. His estimate was some what higher than other contractors we interviewed, but we were confident we would end up with a quality paint job. . And we were right. Rick and his crew were very focused and professional, and completed the job on time, with outstanding quality. We are very happy to recommend Accents to anyone.

I hire Accents for ALL my painting jobs. I first worked with Rick Carter and his crew over 10 years ago and was so impressed with the superior quality and professionalism that I've never considered using any other painters. They have painted the entire interior of my house and the exterior of my house twice and I couldn't be more pleased. I highly recommend Accents Professional Painting.

Mr. Carter is very professional and very nice, he and his employee Sergio showed up exactly on time to do the job. Mr. Carter showed and gave Sergio some instructions about the job that needed to be done and left but told me to call him if I had any questions. Both Mr. Carter and Sergio surpassed my expectations - Sergio did an excellent job, covered all furniture and cleaned up after the job was done. The drywall repairs look great and the paint job is the best I have seen. I would highly recommend ACCENTS PROFESSIONAL PAINTING COMPANY, in my opinion I would rate it AAA+.

Of the repairs that were made most were flawless, one was difficult and can be seen slightly on the ceiling. Clean-up was done very well, and worker was right on time.

My husband and I were delighted with the job Accents did for us! It was a 4 day job, a minimum of 6 hours per day. They did not rush to get it done; rather they took extensive time and care to ensure that the gel stain and regular wood stain matched as close as possible. They were very courteous, thoughtful, punctual, clean and thorough in their job. Rick, the owner, oversaw the work that Perry, his associate did on a daily basis. It is always pleasant and honestly a relief to hire a service provider who is professional and experienced. We have Accents coming back in September, their earliest time slot, to paint the exterior of our house so that our new house will be picture perfect.

I called Accents to come to my house so they could give me a quote to do some interior painting. They arrived on time and on the date agreed upon (4/15/13). They viewed the work I needed done. They indicated I would receive an email by Thursday, 4/13/13 with their proposal of work and price. Did not receive the email. The following week the owner called to ask if I received the email as he had been out of town over the weekend and was having some trouble with his computer He indicated he would send the email immediately. To date I have not received the email or heard from this company and it is a month later.

Overall very good job for the price. Would use them again.

This big deal was a great deal- they did a good job of repairing damaged walls and ceiling and then priming the walls for paint. Owner's son- and worked a solid straight 8 hour day- no long breaks. Did amazing prep work to make for easy clean up- possibly the neatest painter I have ever worked with. Took all of his clean up & tarps with him- no mess in my yard no mess in my garbage can.

Unfortunately, I needed the painting to be done immediately. Rick Carter, the owner, was beyond professional in conveying to me that his teams were booked several weeks out. So instead of wasting both our time on estimates, he and I discussed future projects and needs I would have. I have rarely dealt with a painting company who would take the time to grow their future business even when they knew they would not be getting the current business. I am an Interior Designer who has just moved to Charlotte. I always search out my contractors and tradesmen to try them out on my own residence before I will hire them with clients. I will be contacting Accents Professional Painting! I strongly recommend them to anyone looking for an estimate from a professional interior painter.

I had drywall and painting work performed on 2 separate occasions. The worker was on-time and very professional. The drywall work required a lot of sanding and the worker left my house spotless. On both occasions the quality of the work was outstanding.

We moved to Charlotte 12 years ago and contacted 3 paint contractors from Angie's List for paint and wallpaper estimates for our newly purchased condo. After meeting with all 3, Rick Carter was the one we choose. In 2011 we moved to a two story townhouse and as members of Angie's List decided to check out some paint contractors for estimates. I was delighted to see Accents Painting Co still at the top of the list. My husband and I decided right on the spot that there was no need to look further. I called "Dr" Rick (his name on the business card I had kept all these years) and set up an appointment for an estimate. I could go on and on, but if you read his company description, that is exactly the service you can expect....if you truly don't want to worry about how the job will look when completed this is the company for you! This company gives you that extra mile.

They were fantastic and did a superb job. They gave us a quote for doing additional work and my husband fainted at their pricing (I would estimate they are a good 50% higher than other companies) but I do feel that you get what you pay for in this case. If we had the extra money we would hire them in a minute just for the quality.

There aren't enough adjectives to describe how satisfied and thrilled I am with how nice the interior of my home looks now...excellent, awesome, outstanding, first rate. Rick Carter and his crew are true professionals. They paint your home as if it were their home, they are that particular and aren't satisfied until you're happy with the job. I am extremely happy with the job. They are thorough and the follow-up is excellent. It was a pleasure working with Rick and every one of his crew. The exterior of my house looks amazing. It's incredible that a painting company can be this good. I mean the house really pops it looks so nice. Rick Carter and his crew are true professionals. He is very thorough, treating your house as if it were his own and doing what needs to be done. I am extremely grateful to him that he identified and replaced areas of damaged and rotted wood at a reasonable price, saving me considerable problems down the road. After the first email I sent ot Accents I receive a response asking me to forward pictures of the area of ceilngs which needed be repaired. I set the photos several times and sent several follow-up emails to no avail. I dropped it and went with a different provider.

I have used Accents Professional Painting several times over the years for larger jobs (entire interior of my house) and smaller jobs (one room painting and drywall work). They always meet the highest standards: they arrive on time, they complete the job on time, they take incredible care while they work, the price is fair----and, most important, their work is always beautifully executed. In this case, I had some water damage in my basement. Accents Professional Painting repaired the damage and left the room looking good as new.

Owner Rick Carter was very thorough in explaining what needed to be done, and his crew was very professional in their work, with great attention to detail. There was a lot to repair and sand before painting. The crew used their own bright lights to work by,so they got the walls smoother than the walls I had done by a different painting company before. They cleaned up everything very well also. Rick knew I was eager to get the work started, and I appreciated that he worked this job in over a week along with other jobs when his exterior painting jobs were delayed by bad weather.He advised me about the different workers that would be coming on different days as a result, and they were all very helpful & polite. Although the work was expensive, Rick's quote was less than another quote I got, and the work Rick's crew did is outstanding. I highly recommend them.

Rick sent over one of his workers to make the repairs. He did an excellent job in repairing several cracks in the art niche in my family room. He screwed down the corners, applied tape and mud and made the wall look brand new again. I was very satisfied and will use this company in the future. He also was able to do the whole job in the 4 hours and that included applying several coats of mud and using a heat gun to speed up the process.

I was very pleased with the work completed and the time in which it was completed.

Repaied the sheetrock and painted the ceiling. All went smoothly and I am pleased

We had used Accents Painting to stain our new front door last year. It is fiberglass, so it required a faux finish to give the appearance of wood. Rick did an excellent job, so we called him again to do similar staining on a new kitchen/garage door. We have natural woodwork throughout the kitchen, which has abused by chairs, kids, and especially our dog when he was a puppy. It needed a good bit of attention as well. This turned out to be almost a full week's work. Rick and his crew are very professional, prompt, friendly, and detail oriented. They took off the door knobs/locks prior to painting, instead of taping them, which we really appreciated. My husband and I are very picky about the details. Rick welcomed our inspection of the work when it was almost finished and made sure that our very minor concerns were addressed before they wrapped it up. There was an unexpected problem with the door hardware and Rick went above and beyond, taking quite a bit of time to rectify it. I would absolutely hire Accents Painting for our future painting needs.

I was moving from out of state and contacted Accents to do the painting in our family room. Timing was critical as I hoped to have the painting done before carpeting and furniture was in place. The owner was very patient with my indecisive choice of colors and was as helpful as he could be. I am VERY satisfied with the finished product.
