I dropped off a classic car (I drove it to the shop) for exhaust manifold replacement (I supplied the manifolds) and was having a fuel injection issue that I asked them to look at and fix. They had the car for 13 Months, they had left the driver’s window down at one time and it must have been for quite some time as ruined the carpet, carpet pad, and water stained the driver’s seat and down the inside of the driver’s door upholstery, allowed the 6-month old battery at the time I dropped it off to go bad by leaving the battery cover off and exposed to the outside (it was a mid-engine car that had the battery cover in the back of the car, they removed one exhaust manifold, and then never did anything to the car. I have to bring a trailer over to pick it up and it was not running but on half the cylinders. I had been checking in with Earl who is very nice by the way, but his answer was always the same they just could not get to it. I have since had to have the engine pulled and rebuilt because I went to change the oil and filter and I drained about a quart of water out of the oil pan before oil begin to flow, when I pulled the heads off the block water had been running down an exhaust port that the manifold was removed and not replaced or the ports covered up so in turn an open exhaust vale was filling a cylinder with water and well you know the rest of the story, it was a mess. So I' can't recommend them for anything on a classic car or car repair. They have worked on my wife's car before I took my car in and they did an excellent job. So on newer model cars like her Cadillac DTS they seem to do well but I would never recommend them for anything classic or that would require an overnight stay at that shop. I'm sorry that I have to post this but the condition they left my car was very unprofessional. They also told me that I did not owe anything when I came to get it. That was a nice jester since I have spent over $1600.00 on my engine rebuild, and another $700.00 for the carpet and upholstery repair that with a little care by them might not have happened in the first place. Again Earl is a very nice person and so is his office people but that is about as far as I can go with recommendations.

I have always been pleased with these folks. They're down to earth, friendly people who do great work. No fancy building but quality work. Lower overhead keeps costs down. Honestly, I never would have found them except I went to church with a man who worked there. I believe this business does excellent work and is fair and honest. I've actually asked them if something needed to be done and they told me it could wait! That's not usually the case.

Promptly took in my vehicle at time of appointment. Car was delivered about 1-1 1/2 hours later. The first thing I noticed was the car smelled like cigarette smoke. When I closed the door there was a loud rattle inside the door and the power button key panel was not snapped in firmly. When I went inside and told them they sent the mechanic outside. He took the door apart in the rain outside while smoking a cigarette to find out what was rattling. He then put it back together again and when finished said he moved things around inside door but doesn't know what he did to fix it. When I originally called A and B and asked for Earl because of a referral. I wish Earl would have worked on my car. I will come back because they seem honest and their prices seem fair. I do not want that particular mechanic working on my car.

The only good thing out of this entire experience is that they gave my husband a ride home after leaving the van to diagnose it. Our Dodge van engine compartment, inside the dash, and part of the carpet inside got soaked during August 2011 hail and 85 mph wind and rain storm. We dried the inside and the engine compartment with fans for for about 9 days trying to start the van. The starter, a/c, and stereo shorted out or stopped working. Allstate insurance told us to get it fixed ( said they would cover it - they lied). We took the van to the closest place - Aand B on Angie's List. Aand B was informed that this should be an insurance claim and what had happened to the van. They said there would be a minor diagnostic charge. When we called Aand B about the cost to fix the starter, A/C, and install a stereo that we supplied - WOW - they said it would be approximately $800. Allstate denied the claim based on their mechanic saying he couldn't find any evidence of water. (After 9 days of drying I doubt if I could find any water.) Yet, you could see the water spots all over the engine compartment (the Allstate agent saw them and took pictures). After it was dried we found mold and water stains on the bottom of the door panels and on the carpet around the seats and engine cover. After Aand B said it was going to cost approximately $800 we started calling several other companies in Angie's List - everyone that we called charged about half the price (or less) than Aand B. All the other companies that we called in Angie's List said the diagnosis would be $50 (or less) or No Charge. We called Fisher Automotive. Bill said that they DON'T CHARGE FOR DIAGNOSING the problem. Bill said that if we couldn't get it to him that he would pick it up or tow it for free, and if we didn't have another vehicle he might have a loner - WOW! We called Aand B back and said we could not afford their price and would pick up the van or have it towed. They said they already installed a new starter (without telling us first) and would have to take it out and put the old one back in. The first time we asked them if we owed them anything for the diagnostics we were told it would be less than $200 - WOW! We were shocked! When we called back they said it would be $232 (Heart Attack) - just for diagnosing. We asked when could we pick it up? They said in about an hour. We arrived about 50 minutes later and had to wait in their parking lot for about another hour for them to take it outside. We went inside to pay the outrageous price of $232 but, the girl at the register lowered the price to $185.76. We must say, this is, the absolute worst experience with a mechanic in our entire lives. Anytime anybody ever mentions the word mechanic, the first depressing thing that we think about is this experience, and how we feel that we were ripped off.

They were good. They were punctual, the price was fair and the work was great.

They are trustworthy, and their prices are fair. I have had a good experience with them. I will continue to take my car there in the future.

They were very nice. They were closed on a Saturday when I went there, but they were working on older cars and remodeling them. The guy filled out transmission fluid I needed and didn't even charge me anything. When he was halfway through, I asked him whether they were open.

They did the work right away for me and also didn t charge me for their service. I then took my car there to be serviced. They did a great job. Even though I had only gone for an oil change they checked all the tires and made sure they were aired up. They were courteous and very patient with me while I was asking all kinds of questions. I will continue to use this company without hesitation.
