Flooring Design installed hardwood floors in our home. The owners, Wendy and Chris, and Brianna the design consultant, gave us excellent service. They were very helpful and patient in helping us select and find exactly the type of wood and the look we were searching for.
The installers were great. Punctual and very meticulous; they did an excellent job. We love our new floors, but then we knew the type of work and service to expect from the team at Flooring Design. They had previously installed tiles in two bathrooms and our sunroom. They did an excellent job then; these rooms look great too.
We would definitely recommend them and will contract them again in the future.
From the moment we arrived in Flooring Design, we were greeted by friendly, knowledgeable staff. They had a huge selection with many samples to take. They explained the warranties of the different carpets, the difference in grading, and the difference pricing. They also explained the difference in the padding and the importance of matching the padding to the carpet.
After taking several samples home, we decided on the carpet and padding. However, we did decide on the top grade Shaw carpet and eight pound Stainmaster padding which was a higher cost. Within a day or two, they sent an inspector to the house to take care of the measuring. He was on time and very pleasant. He made sure his description of where the two colors were to meet on the stairs was where we would want it. His estimate included the cost to remove and dispose of the original materials and to install the new carpet and padding.
When the estimate was complete for installation, we went back to Flooring Design to sign the Acceptance of Proposal and the materials were placed on order. The materials arrived within the week and installation began a couple of days later.
Because there was no furnishings in the home, the project moved fast. The workers showed up on time and began removing the old materials. Work was completed in about 2 1/2 days. The installers cleaned up all mess and debris as they went. Before they left, they vacuumed the carpet and ensured we were satisfied with their work.
It was definitely worth the cost to have Flooring Design do all the work. It was also reassuring to know they use their own people and no outside contractors for removal or installation. We are really happy with our decision to purchase the top line Shaw carpet and Stainmaster padding, it is so comfortable to walk on or lay on.

I do not remember the particulars but I believe we did not provide outstanding service, as is evidenced by [members name removed] comments. And that saddens me. Donnie has moved and is no longer with us, and we have learned not to try to do more than what we are good at- and we no longer schedule other contractors. I am very sorry that we did not provide a wonderful experience to [member name removed] and offer my heartfelt apology- which I know is too little, and too late. However, I will continue to do my best to provide exceptional service to our customers.
