8-30-10 was told the movers would be there 8-31-10 between 9 and 11am. That day no show or no call when they were late. I called them and was told it would be the next day. I had taken off work and drove 3 hours to be there and had to drive back to GA to work. The did show up two hours late on 9-1-10 to pick up the houshold furnture. They then told me the estimated weight wasnt what it needed to be and I would be charged additional fees for more weight. I was surprised since I had offered them to come do a in house walk through which they denied wanting to do. On or about 9-4-10 the driver/employee stole the truck over the weekend and all the contents within. on 9-4-10 when promised delivery came, they were not to be found. I called customer service and the advised "they didnt know where the truck was" but they would call me back. this didnt occur. called back on 9-8-10 and was told it should be there by 9-10 or 9-11. on 9-10-10 no show or call. Talked with Sarah the dispatch mgr and she was to call me back after finding out where the driver was. I called back at 315pm when she hadnt called me and they were closed. on 9-12-10 I called CMPD and filed felony police report against the company for theft. I also called Grovetown PD where my new house was and filed a report there also. on 9-13-10 I called back and demanded to know where ny stuff was and Sarah called me back and told me the truck had been stolen. This was 9 days earlier so the driver was long gone by this point. I was told it would be 30 business days before I could file a claim. called and left several messages between 9-15 and 9-16 to get my fees refunded. I then called AMerican Express and explained the situation and they reveresed the charges and took it up with MBM. on 9-16-10 contacted Federal Trade commission to file Identifty Theft reports for myself and my wife since personal documents could have been compromised. Matt Moran the VP called to advise he would be handling the case at this point. on 10-14-10 we started the claims process with Sarah Verndon From 11/3/10 till 12/6/11 I sent numerous emails and left countles voicemails for Matt to get some answers on what happened and what they would do about it. on 12-6-10 Matt called to explain the truck had been found in Atlanta at a truck stop. contents needed to be verified but they thought it was our stuff or some of it. A driver was sent to claim the truck and delivery was set for the following Saturday 12-11-10. when the truck arrived at the house, the doors were opened and it looked atrocious as boxes were turned upside down, emptied and triampled on by the driver and his goons. many things were destroyed and many others stolen. My freezer was filled with mold and mildew from sitting on the truck for 3 months. now it doesnt even work so it will have to be replaced! Many other items were stolen as we unloaded the truck and saw what was there. Emailed matt on 12-12-10 explaining they needed to pay for damages and losses. as of 12-30-10 no response from the company. on 1-20-11 CMPD called me to advise the arrest warrant I asked for had been issued for the driver. 1-25-10 recevied email from Matt asking if insurance company had called me, I advised they had not. he replied on 1-26-10 and said he would be forwarding me their information. several emails and phone messages had been sent and not returned from Matt or the company. 2-2-11 sent an attourney and email asking where we might stand if pursued action. he referred me to another lawyer since he couldnt do anything. talked back and forth with another attourney just to get a feel for what we could or couldnt do. never signed any aggreements just got background information on costs and so forth. 3-21-11 sent revised claim to Sarah at MBM for payment. left another voicemail for Matt on 3-21-11 as i've not heard from him since 2-2-11. on 3-25-11 initiated complaint with Angies list and one with the BBB.received email back on 3-28-11 from BBB that since a theft had been involved they couldnt process a complaint but would put it in their file. 3-30-11 sent sarah an email inquiring to why I hadnt heard from Matt or anyone regarding my second claim. 3-31-11 sent another email regarding no phone call received. 4-4-11 Matt finally called and explained that the orignal complaint was denied by the insurance company on 2-21-11 (and I found it hard to believe this is the FIRST i had heard of it and its April). They had submitted a new claim and he would follow up and call me back within the hour with a status. its now 4-7-11 and still no return phone call. The professionalism of this company and its senior management cleary is one that is NOT professional. it doesnt take but a minute to return a phone call, even if dont know anything. simply reaching out does make a difference. it shows you actually care.
Description of Work: * They were to provide household moving services from Charlotte NC to Augusta GA on 8-31-11 and deliver apox 3 days later. That was what I was told. This later turned out not to be what would happen.

The member hired our company to move his shipment to Georgia. Shortly after the driver finished loading the member's shipment he went missing. We waited about a week to see if the driver would turn up, but he did not. The driver (Michael Leggette) stole our moving truck and the shipment on the truck which belonged to the member. After spending a great deal of time arguing on the member's behalf to have the insurance company cover his claim, on two separate occasions they denied his claim because it was theft and not covered. All of the member's money has been refunded and we have offered to compensate him for his entire load at the valuation level he selected, even though some of his items were recovered.
