I was very happy with the amount of time they took to find the problems we were having with our electrical system & the amount of work they did to repair the problems - even happier with the affordable bill we received in the mail a few days later (after completion). When I first called they were having their truck fixed, but came to inspect my home the day it was out of the shop. There were 2 days they came out to repair issues, because they needed to pick up more supplies, but they did show up when they said they would and called ahead of time. Of course, my schedule is generally flexible anyway. But they did complete the work in a timely manner and they were (all of his technicians) friendly and answered questions I had throughout their inspections and repairs. All in all I was happy with their work and BONUS... my electric bill went down $200/month!!! so far... It has been 2 electric bills since the repairs. I plan to call them back to add 2 new lights in my crawlspace this month, since I am having my crawlspace encapsulated soon!
Description of Work: We had very high electric bills since moving into our home in April 2013... and had lights blow, ceiling fans burn out, and one light switch zapped me & sparked when I turned it on and the track lighting blew out when it happened. We had them search for the reason why this was happening & why our bill was so high. Our initial reason for calling them was because our circuit boards blew and we couldn't buy replacements at Lowe's... They suggested I turn the switches off and push them back on really hard to make sure they made a connection. We did this when it happened (1/2 our house was without power for 2 days)... it didn't work for us initially, but I figured I would give it one more try, and it worked. I was happy to learn we did not have to replace the switches because they were $200 and up each. Since I had already called and set up an appointment, I decided to have them check the breaker panel just to be sure there was nothing else going on with it. It was fine, but it turns out that because our home is a modular - we were having a problem with our electric system because the manufacturer uses a product that clicks together to join both sides of the house - to connect side A to side B - and it was not getting a full connection, (poor product technology I guess), so they replaced ALL of them with new junction boxes. The other problem we had which we were not aware of was an outside outlet actually was burning??? Not sure when it started or for how long it was that way. The plastic was melted and burned... I had worried about this house burning down on us, because of all the electric issues we were having. I guess that was a close one! They replaced that and the interior switch. They even looked at 2 ceiling fans and found that the transistor for the remote blew out so the fans just stopped working. We can replace them at our own discretion, if we choose to keep them. They did however, hard wire one of them to work for us without using the remote, but using the light switch instead. A temporary fix for our convenience.
