+ -1 moreCalled several Angie's list auto glass listings. SOS had wonderful reviews, but not the lowest estimate. I chose SOS based on owners personality and reviews here. My insurance deductible was lower than the lowest estimate, so my cost was the same for any vendor. I am totally satisfied with SOS's workmanship and all my dealings with SOS. I made the right choice.
Description of Work: A stone caused a 12" crack in my 2008 windshield. Al (the owner) found an exact replacement at a reasonable cost. He showed up when promised and replaced my windshield at my home. He did a meticulous job and I am very satisfied with all facets of the transaction and the installation. Highly recommended!

+ -1 moreMy windshield had a crack so he came out the same day. He determined it did need a new windshield and I had already told him the make and model of my car so he already had one on his truck. He was able to have it replaced within an hour. He was a really nice, friendly guy who knew what he was doing and he cleaned up after himself. Other than the fact that I had to replace my windshield, it was a fantastic experience. The employee was quite delightful and personable. He knew what he was doing.

+ -1 moreWe worked out a time that was good for both of us within 2 business days. He arrived a bit late but that wasn't a problem. He came and repaired the defect in my driveway efficiently for a reasonable price. The defect is still slightly apparent but it was a somewhat difficult one to totally remedy. I would use him again.

He was a very personable guy, who did the work very quickly. He cleaned up after himself. His prices were in line with that of the other companies. He was very professional and responsive. He did a very good job. I?ll definitely use him again, if required.

+ -1 moreMr. Curtis appeared exactly when he said he would and replaced the windshield in the amount of time he had estimated. He gave us advice about how long to wait before driving the car, to be sure everything had sealed properly. We were entirely satisfied, even delighted, with his service. Having him come late on a Friday, on one day's notice, was a great convenience for us, and the windshield has been fine since he installed it.
Description of Work: My wife was travelling on Thursday and had a rock hit her windshield. She called me and I said I'd find someone to fix or replace it. I came to Angie's List and looked at windshields and auto glass and selected a few names. I was impressed when I spoke wih Al Curtis of SOS. He didn't try to sell me anything, just told me what he could do, and when, and what it would cost. He answered my questions about how to judge whether to repair or replace the windshield. He was a little bit more conservative or cautious than the others I spoke with, who were from chains. His price was slightly higher (less than 10%), but I liked the approach he described better than I liked the salesmanship of the other companies. He agreed to work with our schedule and come to my wife's office the next day, late on Friday afternoon.

He could only replace one windshield that day due to the time (understandable) and came back the following day (at my convenience) to replace the remaining 2 windshields. He was courteous, prompt, direct about the costs, and efficient.

He clearly explained the repair that he recommended, describing the benefits (would secure the windshield and be almost cosmetically invisible) and limitations (not completely invisible). We set an appointment within the week of my call. He was able to perform the repair at my office.
