Sales rep mis-measured and then tried to blame us. The quote we were given clearly describes what we thought we were having installed, but they refuse to do what was promised until speaking with GM. Sales rep and other managers were nasty and unprofessional.

We started dealing with them early September and they did not trim the foam with the sheetrock to be put up so I could not have another another company put up the sheetrock in two buildings. That cost me more money in the long run. They also cut the wiring in one building. I would not recommend them to anyone. I just wanted them off my property.

They order all the products and do a very professional job

We had a terrific experience. We got two bids on the same job, and The Austin Company came in significantly lower than GSM Services. All the guys who came to work were very courteous, and took their work very seriously. It was clear they wanted to do the job right—they really were committed to improve the efficiency of our home. We have noticed a difference during the hot summer months, and we have no regrets that we chose them. We recommend them highly.

I had previously had an energy audit from a different company which gave me an idea of what I needed; which I could not afford at the time of the audit. Since I knew I needed insulation and now had the extra cash, I found Austin Company on Angies List. The rep brought a thermal imager (which was great to see where the hot spots in the wall were). He made some suggestions about insulating the outlets and talked about doing weatherization of the attic top plate and 2nd floor bonus room. I expressed interest and we scheduled a time the next morning when he said he would be back with his weatherization expert. I arranged with work to be off. The next day, I got a call a few minutes before the appt and he said he needed to re-schedule as the weatherization expert was in training so we re-scheduled for the next week. I took that day off as well. Rep did not call nor did he show up. I waited approx an hour and called rep. When I asked if he was still planning on showing up, he said the weatherization was out on a job and asked why I was in a hurry since I had been waiting on the issue since the last energy audit. I explained I was just trying to find out when he was going to be back out so I could plan it out on the calendar. He said he would give me a call when he found out when the weatherization expert would be available. Never heard back from him.

They replaced insulation after water damage from a fire and lightening strike. They actually made two trips to accommodate other work that was being done. I really appreciated their friendly service and competitive price. I highly recommend them.

A guy came out to look at my gutters and he said he'd schedule something soon. They never called me back. I called back a week later and I wasn't even on the schedule. The guy I talked to said he'd find out what happened and they would contact me. About 2 weeks later, still nothing. It takes one minute to call someone and give them an update.

We are very happy with them. One day, they came out right away and they did an excellent job when they sprayed. They cleaned up after themselves. I couldn't be happier. They did a wonderful job. But their price is more on the high side.

Because the gutters originally installed on my home (1997) were only 5" gutters and my roof is very steep they weren't able to keep up with water removal--especially in times of heavy rains as we've experienced this year. I also have one extremely tight corner (V shaped) where this problem has twice resulted in water backing up behind the gutters and damaging areas of the exterior wall of the home. Greg Helms of Austin came out and surveyed the damage and the situation and was extremely helpful in assisting me in creating a plan to solve this problem once and for all. I had a bid from another company and so I knew his price was acceptable and his knowledge and helpfulness led me to choose his company for the installation. Everything has gone extremely well. Greg has kept me updated on when the crew would be over to remove the old gutters, then when they were scheduled to come to do the new install. He was easy to reach and always responded to any question or concern I raised. I am very pleased and believe I have solve all my gutter problems!

Service was excellent. A representative called and scheduled a vist to determine the work needed. A previous replacement (Austin Co, Aug '12). of one downspout in an area that poured water over the gutter in a hard rain had worked very well, indicating that the downspouts were the culprit in water flowing over the gutters. The gutter size (which I had thought too small) was adequate. After the representative's visit, I received a quote within a day, and called to schedule the work. It was critical that the work be performed before the Fescue lawn was aerated and over-seeded.The schedule met my needs here, and their person arrived on schedule. He had performed the previous work, so I new he was knowledgeable and competent. I confirmed with him what was to be done, and left him work. The end result was new downspouts, with no debris or rubbish left behind. The old downspouts were taken, and all rubbish from cutting, etc. was picked up and disposed of. The result met all my high expectations. A month later, with some very hard rains (1.5"/hr), there were no issues. I will continue to recommend Austin Co. to my friends.

I was referred to this company to repair some fascia that blew off of my house in a recent storm. They returned my initial call promptly and said they would be out within 2 days. I called back a week later and was told by the receptionist that someone would call me. With no additional response I called a week later and was told once again that Someone would be in touch with me. Almost a month later, still no call or quote. Must not want or need the business. Very disappointing.

They worked with the insurance company involving both the estimate and the work . They did a fabulous job. They actually recommended something less expensive and more effective for our project as opposed to replacing it entirely. We went with their suggestions and we were very happy with their service. They really made it clear that they did not want to take advantage of us and really care about their customers.

Called company twice asking for appointment to get estimate on job; calls with number taken by receptionist were not returned.

They were punctual, accessible. Sent separate people to do the different jobs. Came in and did their jobs and left. Would definitely recommend them to others. What they did is definitely making a difference in my heating bills!

Install went off without a hitch. Only issue was they were backlogged by about 3 weeks but considering we were ordering gutter guards during the start of fall I wasn't surprised.

They are good company. They do great job. They are old company. They are reasonable in price. They show up when they are supposed to. I would use them in the future.

We had interviewed a total of 5 companies and chose Austin. We worked with them in the past on replacing gutters and were very satisfied. Mold is a real health concern and in such a stressful, expensive situation we have to say Austin was GREAT! From our initial contact with Chris, who always kept in touch and checked on the progress, to the daily crew, headed by Mike, they all were courteous, and on time. Above all though, they were extremely hard working. It's a tough job to be suited up in a crawlspace, let alone in 90 degree weather, but everyone was dedicated to getting the job done correctly. We were also impressed by the long days that the crew put in to get the job done as quickly as possible. Along the way, they addressed all of our questions and concerns promptly. Excellent job!

They showed up on time, maybe even slightly early. They were done quickly and to our liking. They made sure we were happy before they left.

Water was spilling over the gutters and I contacted them and they said the drain pipes were not wide enough to hold the water. I had 8 eight downspouts put in by them. They came out with a full crew with 3 men and installed the downspouts in about 30 minutes. They cleaned up well and got rid of the old downspouts. They did an excellent job.

They were excellent. They were prompt and showed up when they said they would. They did the job on time. I would definitely use them again. Their price was good.

Although it took a while, and apparently the influence of a bad report on Angie's List, they eventually resolved a serious problem we had with the original installation that showed up 4 years later. They have made several trips to correct the problem and returns to inspect the corrections. At this point, we would seriously consider using this company again.

I was setup with an appointment within days of my call. After receiving the quote, work was scheduled within days of my confirmation. I had a 7 am appointment for the attic insulation, and the workers were prompt, on time, friendly, professional and did an excellent cleanup job. The person giving me the quote was also very professional and proficient. I was not home when the crawl space work was done, but I was totally satisfied, and the work was done well, with no mess left. I cannot rate them on the price, as they were the only ones I talked with. The first 2 with A ratings that I called never bothered to return my call. I definitely will recommend them and will use them again as needed.
