Both times we have been really pleased and impressed at the ease of using zippy shell and have recommended it to friends.

Zippy shell managers were super friendly and easy to deal with.  It was a simple matter to schedule a delivery date for them to drop off the shell at the end of our drive.  At that point we had 48-72 hours to load all the belongings from the downstairs into the shell at which point zippy shell folks came and whisked shell off to their storage warehouse. The limited amount of time you have to load and unload is the only somewhat stressful aspect of renting a zippyshell as you are working under a time constraint and have to load and unload even if weather is bad (although in the event of some sort  of unusual or exceptionally severe weather I have no doubt the zippy shell folks would work with you).  When remodel was over we simply called up zippy shell and scheduled the return of our furniture filled shell at which point we had two or three days to unload it, then they came over and picked up the empty shell.  It all went like clockwork!

The whole procedure went flawlessly and we were extremely happy with the service we received from the Zippy shell folks, and for the way the whole procedure worked.  At first we were going to rent a storage pod which would be sitting outside our house for the entire duration of the remodel. But none of the ?pod people? seemed willing to work with us as our driveway is a bit on the tight side.  The advantage of the pod would have been that we could access at least some of our stuff during the remodel, and, more importantly, add additional stuff during the course of the remodel (there are always some odds and ends  that you forget to store the first time).  But the advantages of the zippy shell are that once it?s whisked away then all that parking space is available for construction folks (a big factor in our driveway which is pretty tight). Plus it was an extremely wet summer, with downpours several times a week, and it is hard to believe that furniture sitting in our driveway in a totally enclosed pod would not have suffered at least a bit in that kind of weather, if not from some sort of leak, at least from insanely high humidity levels and sitting in a tight container in the baking sun for months.  So it was nice to know that our stuff was safe and sound in a climate controlled and very well ventilated zippy shell warehouse.  When the shell containing our furniture came back, it was all in excellent shape and had not shifted in the pod an inch as far as I can tell.  The Zippy Shell manager who made four trips up and down our driveway delivering and picking up full and empty shells could not have been more careful about moving the sizeable rig up and down the drive, and not a single branch on any of the ornamental flowers and bushes I have lining the driveway was touched.

My experience worked out really well. They were convenient to schedule with. They picked up and dropped off. They went above and beyond for me.

They were fantastic. The were very reasonable.  Scheduling an appointment was great and they really accommodating to me.

This was a very, very easy way to store furniture.  The owner arrived at the agreed upon time, took the furniture, emailed me a photo of the furniture in it's "cage" in the storage facility, and returned the furniture at the time we asked.  I have had clients in the past that stored their own furniture at other facilities, and almost all had problems with odors/bugs/damage.  There is none of this with Zippy Shell!

Things went great.  They picked up out stuff, kept it until we moved, and then dropped it off again.  Nothing broke, nothing stolen, and the price was half of what a POD would be.  Everything went pretty smooth.
