Had them install a set of new StopTech slotted rotors and EBC pads on my Toyota Highlander. Also changed the oil and filter. Did a great job, brakes are SUPER STRONG (I purchased the brake parts) and the car runs good. Very reasonable price.

They are terrific. They are trustworthy and will even talk you out of work that is unnecessary. I have always been satisfied with their service and I have recommended them to several people and they are always pleased as well. It is kind of mechanic you want have in your back pocket.

I have had a very good experience with Wasp in the past. Regarding the oil change and NC inspection that was done lately, I have no complaints. The appt. was easily scheduled a day in advance and when I arrived the work was done right away with no long wait time. I highly recommend this company because they do not try to up sale you on additional services.

Their schedule fills up pretty quickly, fortunately I was able to get a slot within 2 days. I arrived about 15 minutes early and they took care of me right away. I asked if they could check my suspension too while they were at it. They took care of everything and gave me a clean bill of health. Thank you for the painless experience.

They do excellent service and we continue to use them. They do not do things they do not have to do and they are very unctuous to answer any questions. They could have gotten more money from us but the chose not to, they explained to us about the oil and why they use that particular oil for that car. The price is fine and they also do have a shuttle service that we found out from our neighbors where they bring you home if you drop the car out there.

Had a sudden need -- repairs before a road trip. They kindly fit me right in, did all I needed plus spotted a broken brake light, which I ok'd to be repaired and they fixed while I waited. Also checked brakes and tires, gave me advice on both and other upcoming needed maintenance: no pressure, just good advice. Very honest and nice, super knowledgeable folks. They're my new go-to auto service group!

Wasp Auto is AMAZING! I would not trust my car to anyone else. Their staff is friendly, prompt, and honest. At this service, I was unable to find one of my friends to give me a ride, and they drove me to and from work. I have highly recommended them to all of my friends/family.

I had to have it inspected and then they had to have work done on it. Debbie went in, looked up there and I called Wasp. It's not the cleanest place like you would go over here to price with dealership or something like that. It's very down to earth place. I like that the mechanic took me out, went over the paperwork and told me what needed to be done and what could wait. He just went down that list and I knew already knew, it wasn't like a total shock to me but the metallic shocks was the thing that could wait which was underneath the truck. They are wearing and they need to be replaced eventually. I appreciate him saving us on that one a little while and I'll probably have that done there probably this year. The waiting room is not the cleanest but it's also not bad either. They didn't spend all their money on the lobby. I suppose they were professional and I will go back there again. They are down-to-earth people that know what they are doing and you don't have a fancy guy in a tie and all that. Even the owner told me what they would do, how things were, when I should come back and I think their professionalism is fine.

Mechanics at WASP have always been great at providing quality and affordable service. They only work on asian imports.

The check engine light had been on for a while, so I checked Angie and found Wasp Automotive. I really liked working with Wasp Automotive. I just drove over, no appointment. They got my info, checked the computer and gave me a quote. A little over an hour later I was finished. Price was good, even less than quote. After reading some earlier posts I thought I would answer some of those concerns. The garage is very laid back, the person up front does not appear to be the receptionist. I walked in and waited; soon a mechanic came over. I did not even see an area for customers to sit. I went to some of the nearby shops and sat on some furniture on their front porch. The lack of a person to greet was a little strange. However, I am very happy.

I was told by my previous mechanic (whom I've been going to for 8 years with the same car) that my 2005 Subaru Forester's rack and pinion was toast and I needed to repair it (leaking) or it wouldn't pass inspection. The cost estimate to do this by them was given to me as $2K. The Subaru expert at WASP looked at my car and said that I didn't need to do that, that it was a leaking head gasket that was right above the steering and therefore people who don't work on Subaru's a lot commonly think it's the rack and pinion steering. He didn't charge me a dime. He said my ol' Subaru was running really well. Saved me a bunch of money. You can bet I will be taking my car there from here on out. Reliable, honest people who know what they are talking about.

Worked right next to these guys for a couple of years. It worked out because they were great at all the services I needed done. They were recommended via CarTalk forums, and I found that high recommendation to be accurate. We live farther away now, but otherwise I'd still be going to them for pretty much any auto service they said they could do. They were honest and fair with me.

They were able to figure out that it wasn't oil, but that it was clutch fluid. Were quick with this service

It was done promptly while I waited in their splendid waiting area. I sat outside in a lovely garden area.

I used to faithfully use Wasp auto until I finally got tired of the poor customer service. Pete, the owner, is a great guy. Completely and utterly honest and reliable and hardworking. But the receptionist who greets you (or, rather does NOT greet you), is awful. There is no system and no organization involved in checking someone in. You just appear at the receptionist's desk and wait for her to attend to you. But this might take 1 minute or 10 minutes. You never know. I finally got tired of this poor customer service and started going to a place in Chapel Hill that had 3 receptionists working at all times. And now I never wait. The difference is quite refreshing. I might pay more at the new place (I've never compared) but I would never go back to Wasp Auto, even though I was dedicated to Pete for many years. He needs a better system for greeting and checking in customers.

The price was better than the dealer. I liked them better too. I like that you get the same person every time for your car. The dealer pulls it up but they don't know all the ins and outs that the individual mechanic knows and I like that better. The mechanic I use is Tevin. I will be continuing to use them. I have only started going there instead of the dealer because the car was new. Since I have an authorized Honda person I'm going to switch to them. Honda's are kind of expensive overall to repair. I need somebody that knows. They told me last time that I needed new tires at 8,000 miles, stuff like that, just so that they know if there is anything not quite right. And they do know. I have seen reviews on them and it matters to me what other people say about them and I will change providers. You want to be very objective when it comes to cars, I know that I was.

WOW!!! First, let me begin by saying I have never been compelled to post a review until today. I just moved to the area from out-of-state two weeks ago, and my check-engine light went on. WASP looked at my car immediately even though I didn't have an appointment and discovered the and quot;problemand quot; within 5 minutes. (My previous mechanic unplugged a few hoses near the air filter. I guess he was hoping I would return for a service call.) They fixed the problem and didn't charge me. They have a customer for life!!!

The best mechanic inspection I have ever had done. It took 1.5 hours, included a road test - they found every potential problem area, even thing that did not matter that much.

New to the area, I selected Wasp Automotive based on the good reviews they received on Angie's List. Prior to that, I had been using a mechanic in another state that my wife's family had been using for two generations. They were wonderful, trusted and I really hated to leave them behind. My appointment was with Kevin, who is one of Wasp's Honda specialists. One of the issues I had was an airbag light that kept coming on due to faulty seat belt. I knew this because my old mechanic had already diagnosed the problem for me before I left. But what my old mechanic didn't know is that the seat belts on Hondas are warranted for life. It's a free repair when performed by a Honda dealer. I only learned this from Kevin. The second issue was something that could only be fixed by a Honda dealer because Honda didn't sell the necessary tools to independent mechanics. So, Kevin recommended that I take my car to a Honda dealer for repair because, in this case at least, the dealer would be in a better position to serve me. Here's what shocked me. I was already grateful for being steered in the right direction. They could have fixed the seat belt and charged me and I would have been none the wiser. I fully expected to pay for bench time and that would have been fair. Kevin and Wasp didn't charge me anything. They even recommended a good Honda dealer for the repairs. I went to the Honda dealer that they recommended and everything went exactly as Kevin said it would. Needless to say, Kevin and Wasp earned my trust and my future business for their trouble. I will be bringing my car to them for service and repairs for the foreseeable future. January 20, 2014 - Update - I've since been back to Wasp twice and had some major work done on my engine. I'm happy to say that they've continued to exceed my expectations.

These guys do great work. My engine light went on about a week later--I called WASP and asked whether anything they would have done would have made the light go on. They said no but bring it by. I dropped by--they immediately checked it and found out it was just the gas cap (no fee).
