Description of Work: Don's rekeyed locks that I brought to them so that I could eliminate having turn knobs on windows with glass doors. I had enough skill to bring the components to them and have them do the job. They would have made a house call as well. This is a top notch lock shop. I have supervised lock shops in insititutions for the last 25 years and I know one when I see one.

+ -1 moreThe locksmith is very good. The people who came out to get the work done were very prompt and did the work very quickly. They were a little pricey, but we did have a lot of doors. So they weren’t cheap, but I don’t think that they were ridiculously priced too. I didn’t have any other problems with them except for their price. I would use their services in the future too.
Description of Work: We used the services of Don Hills Lock Shop about a year ago to have all the locks changed.

+ -1 moreI called several locksmiths. A-1 in Durham estimated $90 and service in two days. The two Chapel Hill locksmiths estimated $120 and $130 for the same job! James came the same day and charged $75 for the work, including two keys. He was a really nice guy, very courteous, and got the job done quickly and professionally. I'll never use a different locksmith.
Description of Work: I lost the key to our shed. James came out, picked the lock, replaced something in the lock, and made two keys.

Description of Work: Our front door knob and lock (ca. 1927) fell apart. James from Don Hill's came out and replaced the spindle and knob, oiled the mechanism and fixed an interior door that would not close.
