Window Genie

They did everything I asked them to. They answered the phone when I called. They showed up when they said they would show up. Scheduling was easy. The only recommendation that I would say that I would make was, at the end, when it was time to make payment, they requested that you write your full credit card number down, that's a security concern for my credit card from my standpoint. I haven't had any compromise or issues but heaven forbid their car get broken into and the clip will get stolen or something like that.

It was fine. Nothing stood out, they just came to do a good job. They came out, I wasn't there, when I came home, it looked like the windows were cleaned. They came out within a week of when I purchased the "Big Deal".

When I purchased the deal I tried to call him several times and when I finally got ahold of him I was able to schedule a time for him to do the work. However, he did not show up to the appointment. I called Angie's List and got a refund for the deal.

Gave me one price on phone. Showed up at house and said since the windows had storm windows they would not do them, even though we said we would remove them and put them back up. Also, quoted a different price when they saw how many windows had panes. Twice the money on pane charge. They did not want to do the work, so they gave us an astronomical price

They did alright, I wasn't overly impressed but they did good.

Window Genie continues to impress us with outstanding quality, service and value. As usual, Brian and his team are professional, and tackle any job, large or small. This window and gutter job for my brother's home was very difficult...the windows had never been professionally cleaned. They also had remnants of paint spray on them which had to be removed first. My brother and his wife were very pleased with the results and now are sold on using Window Genie in the future. Window Genie's attention to detail is excellent....checking each window for the smallest smudge. I personally used Window Genie in Cincinnati and have been using them in Charlotte for the last 2 years since moving here. The owner, Peter Cogen, is responsive to call messages and his technicians are always on time, courteous and very careful with residents' carpeting, furniture and personal belongings. It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was okay. They forgot to do one of my windows and have never come back to do it. I contacted Peter to let him know and he was supposed to have somebody come back and do it when they were in the area. I contacted them again and haven't heard back. I paid an additional $30 because I had more than the number of windows. I have one window in the foyer over the front door and it was very high. They washed the outside of it but never the inside. They did an okay job on the house. I used them last year and the year before to wash my windows and I was very pleased with their service. They are good for washing windows but you have to keep an eye on them. They just forgot that window. They are difficult to get hold of. They do a great job on washing the windows but I wasn't thrilled with the way they did the house. I would use them again to wash my windows.

Spoke with Peter about companies services and after he answered my questions, I scheduled with Window Genie. I was ver ypleased witht he work done by his two technicians. They were professional, on-time, reasonably priced, and conducted a walkthrough to insure my satisfaction. I would recommend you give them a try. I think you will be pleased. They went out fo their way to insure I was satisfied with the service. The only thing I was unaware of was the cleaning of the screens was not included in the price quoted.

What was done was fine. However, I requested an additional service that was not completed--pressure washing my small front porch and walk. There was another appointment made and then cancelled. I have heard nothing from them since.

Pressure washed back patio, front walk and part of driveway. Not all the back patio would come clean but they went back over it a couple of times.

It was easy to schedule with Pete. His team were here on time. They were quick, efficient, and professional. I would gladly use them again.

I have left voice messages for Peter Cohen. Unfortunately, he does not return voice messages. However, he was responsive (at the time) to emails. Originally he needed 30 days out for an appointment, and then when the day before that, said he would not be able to keep the appointment and we would need to reschedule. At that time, we rescheduled and he needed another 30 days out for the appointment. The day of the appointment, he never showed up. Contacting him, he said he needs to reschedule again, again another 30 days out. When this 30 days came up, he did not show up again and I contacted him. He said the pressure washer broke and would know by the end of the day when he can come out. Since then, I have tried to contact him multiple times with no response on his part.

They were easy to schedule an appointment with and showed up on time. They were both professional and did a great job on the house and the driveway. I was surprised at how bright they were able to get the 30 year old concrete!

Everything went fine. I am unable to recall the exact date of this service but vendor should have a record.

I used the coupon after the expiration date but they applied the purchase amount towards the total bill. It ended up being another $70. The work turned out okay

After purchasing a Groupon to do 25 windows for $75, it took three weeks to hear back from Window Genie. However, after I resent an email and after leaving a phone message to Window Genie (Peter Coogan) again, he did send an email with questions about how many windows for the whole house. I did not want to do all the windows, because some are on my porch that I clean regularly. After agreeing to do the extra windows for an extra dollar amount for the whole house, the owner proceeded to try to summarize the square footage for gutters without coming out to get an estimate. With the various angles of the house, there was no way to get the footage he was requiring over an email. There was never any phone contact by him, he kept communicating by email. The price with the extra windows was to be $321.00. The encounter was not professional, and I would not use him again. With everything being done through an email, the details for the work were never confirmed and the Groupon was canceled by me.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It worked out okay. There were places where the solution dripped onto the molding and I had to go back and clean that up. They didn't clean up as well after themselves as I would have liked. There was an additional cost because I have more windows. They were earlier than I thought.

AFter rescheduling twice, the 3rd time they did arrive. In advertisement it said they would wipe screens and sill with damp rag as well as clean the windows. They did not wipe screens or window sills. They ruined 23 of my screens and left the pieces they broke off on my floor and window sills. After several months, the owner did reimburse me for cost of screen repair/replacement. It was a very bad experience. What upset me the most is that the owner would not come to my house to see the damage. He told me insurance would pay for it but then it must not have. I would not recommend this company.

I bought an Angie's List deal for pressure washing. That covered the patio, porch and sidewalk. They also pressure washed the deck for me for an additional $50. They did a great job and were very nice young men.

They were on time, they did a good job and they were thorough.

I had bought a Groupon for 15 windows to be cleaned plus additional windows at 6 dollars per window. I called to schedule an appointment and heard on their answering service that Groupon customers needed to email for an appointment -- making it a difficult process going back and forth with multiple emails to find out when they were available, what times were available, etc. Finally got an appointment for several weeks out. On the day of the appointment, I was unable to reach them by phone to confirm they were coming before I made arrangements to leave work early in order to meet them. I left work anyway, hoping they would show , and they finally did -- 40 minutes late! The serviceman ( who was not the owner) probably had had a long day because he was none too polite when I told him I didn't want to have ALL of my windows cleaned. He told me I had no choice but to have every window in the house and garage washed in order to use the Groupon. The only thing it said in the Groupon was that the deal was for "full house cleaning" which I felt was less than clear. After agreeing to accept the fine print clause, I said they could go ahead, but then he tried to charge me $7.50 per additional window and was very rude when I pointed out that the Groupon deal clearly said $6. After going back out to his truck to call the owner, he came back with a corrected invoice to which he had added a $5 fuel charge! His told me twice that if I didn't like it I could get my money back from Groupon. At the end of the day, they did the washing and the service was fine, but I cannot imagine ever using this service ever again with or without a Groupon. Someone needs to tell vendors like this that the point of offering a discount through Groupon is to have an opportunity to impress a new customer with great service so that they will call you again, not to try to get back the discount you offered by irritating customers with fine print and over charging for fuel etc.

The initial contact through the website was easy. The price quoted was what the work cost, no extras or surprises. The guys were prompt, polite and professional. The truck was marked and the guys had shirts on identifying the company I hired. They worked efficiently the whole time. The house looked great, breathing new life into my tired vinyl. They left no trace of the forest that came out of my gutters, A fantastic job for a great price. I'd definitely use Window Genie again!

Communication was fast and responsive. Upon arriving we asked about an additional service not included in the original work request and they were able to accommodate us. A very thorough job was done. Everything looks great.
