Window Genie

Scheduling was tedious, as they were booked a month or two out. Tried to coordinate several times times, during my time off, (Both my wife and I have normal working hour jobs so it was difficult) had a few cancellations, one of their employees was sick, bad weather, our last minute commitments... they must be very busy as phone tag or multiple emails was the norm, but eventually coordination worked as I had to take a day off and plan a month out to have them come by. ONLY use them if you have time on your hands or can afford to take a day off from work. I booked on 2 February and was completed 14 August. The employees were very personable, fairly fast and did a decent job... There were a couple of large(about 12- 13 inches) streaks in obvious locations, but didn't notice until after they departed....

okay. I've long since forgotten this, but Angie's list keeps prompting me for a review and I'm tired of looking at it. Maybe this will make it go away.

They were very professional. Recommended a whole house cleaning instead of just the windows. Turned out looking nice. The back gutters didn't come out as white as I would have liked, but they were better than before. I think the gutters were just stained. The only downside I noticed was that there was debris still on the bottom of the crawl space doors and some downspouts that weren't washed off, which didn't quite give it a finished look. I would use these guys again.

He made me schedule an appointment (2 weeks in advance). The day of appointment he had one of his workers call and cancel after he was already 30 minutes late. Peter Cogan (owner) finally texted me to tell me his father in law had passed away and he couldn't tell me when my gutters would be cleaned. After several exchanges with me attempting to get my gutters cleaned, he very rudely and unprofessionally told me he would never clean my gutters.

It was difficult to get a hold of them. I asked them to call or email me directly but they never did. I got the deal refunded.

We had a couple of instances where the contractor didn't show up when they were supposed to show. The one time that the contractor did show up, the worker told us that we had not removed the screens, so they could not do their work, and then they left. I understand the screens, but it would have been nice if they mentioned when they scheduled the work that we needed to remove the screens prior to their arrival. When we tried to complain, the owner or manager just sent us a note saying he fired the scheduler and would refund our money.

I called to make the first appointment and due to weather conditions, it had to be rescheduled. The second appointment, I received a call that one of the workers had an injury and to be taken to the hospital, the office would call to reschedule, that didn't occur. I waited a few days and called and was informed I would have to wait about 3 weeks because due to bad weather they were booked and trying to catch up with all the rescheduling. I informed the representative that I had already been waiting over a month and now a another 3 more weeks. So the representative said she would rearrange the schedule and they would be out on 6/19/15 at 4:00 pm. Of course, no one showed up and I didn't get a call. So I called and left 2 messages, no response. Then finally a third call and spoke with a person that informed me that I was scheduled for 6/23/15, I told him, I was informed that the date was 6/19. He informed me that there was nothing on the calendar scheduling me for that date. Bottom line it took me 2 months to get my windows washed!

They did a great job. Did exactly what we expected, were on-time, and completed the job promptly. cleaned up behind themselves.

Contractor was on-time, friendly, efficient and hard-working. Used Angie's list deal to clean exterior windows and allowed me to add interior windows and gutter cleaning service for a reasonable price. Everything went great, would use them again.

I did pay additional charges because I had all the windows in the rest of my home cleaned also. It was about $250 extra on top of $99. They did a great job. We've used Window Genie in the past too.

I purchased a "DealSavers" coupon for Window Genie for $120.00. The offer was good for services up to 25 windows, inside and out. I left numerous phone messages to set up a cleaning date, no one EVER answered the phone during normal business hours. After approximately six calls, and I identified myself as a previous customer, "Peter" returned my call. He informed me he was scheduling appointments for the following week. I I scheduled for Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 4pm. At 5:30pm no one had shown. I called the office numerous times with no one answering, or responding to my calls. The next day I made another phone call, and sent emails, and no response again. Around 6pm, "Stephen" called asking what it was that I wanted. I said to reschedule the missed appointment. He told me "Sarah" schedules the appointments, she would call me back in 10 minutes. I never received a return call. On Saturday Sarah called to explain that one of the technicians was hurt on the job on that Thursday, and they had run behind. No mention of "sorry for the missed appointment." I explained that I was in the process of moving out of my home, and I needed the windows cleaned. I was told that they would be there the following Monday, June 15, 2015 at 4pm. At 5:30pm, I called the office and sent an email asking about the second missed appointment. No response to the call or email. After numerous emails, Sarah responded that they had run late again that day, "I guess I should have called you to let you know" was her response to the second missed appointment. On Tuesday, June 16, 2015, Sarah emailed me and PROMISED they would be at my home on Saturday, June 20, 2015. I had moved out of my home on Friday, and told her that the housecleaning team would be there to let them in at the time arranged, between noon and 1pm. Again, for the third time, no one showed to clean the windows, no phone call, no email. After repeated phone calls and emails, I received an email from Sarah on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at 2:30pm, apologizing for "not speaking to me sooner," but 4 employees had gone out with heat stroke, and only half of their scheduled appointments were completed. I realize "things" happen, but the total lack of communication from the first attempted contact, and zero attempt to follow up with a customer, is inexcusable. I would NEVER recommend Window Genie of Charlotte to anyone.

The office contact was a little difficult to deal with but after contacting Peter himself the work was scheduled and completed as promised. They do a great job. This was the second time using this company and I have been pleased both times.

They showed up on time. It was more expensive than I thought it would be.

Excellent service. they were very flexible with their appointments. Showed up on time and ready to work. Were in and out very quickly. very pleased with the work. Will defintely use them again.

Two very nice gentlemen came in and very quickly and efficiently cleaned all windows as agreed. Though the storm doors were not part of the deal, they cleaned them as well.

Window Genie was scheduled to arrive in the afternoon, but they made it even earlier (about 2 hours). Because it rained on the first scheduled day, we rescheduled and the office as well as the person answering my questions on Angie's List were very helpful and quick. The team showed up with and one person started with the windows, while the other person started cleaning the gutter. They also included the gutters at the garage. After they finished their job my driveway was cleaned as well. I would definitively refer Window Genie to anyone.

It's 6:25 on Friday April 24, and I have not received any phone calls from the compony, they were supposed to be here on 5:00, so my reaction is ?!!!

Purchased a Big Deal for window cleaning. After inital communication about scheduling, the company stopped responding to confirm my appointment. No messages on the website, no calls. Having deal refunded.

It took several weeks for the service to be performed after purchasing the deal, which is my usual experience with Angie's List deals because of the volume of business a "deal" attracts for a provider. Window Genie also rescheduled the service once because of severe weather. However, when the service did occur, the two men who came were professional, fast and effective. I also asked them not to clean certain windows (so that I would not have to pay extra for exceeding the total number of windows covered under the deal) and they easily accommodated that.

It was fine. The windows were cleaned to my satisfaction.

The crew of two did a good job, the man worked outside while the lady worked inside. I would use them again and have inquired about their pressure washing service.

Window Genie called promptly to set a date. The service was for up to 40 windows exterior or interior. We chose exterior. The first date set, we had a snow/ice storm and the called the night before to reset a date. The second date, we had snow! But they were right on it, texting me with new dates available. The team showed up promptly, did as advertised and were very pleasant. Would use them again!! Once they were done, my windows dried spotless! Great job!
