Didn't build pool but they have offered to refund our initial deposit less permits and costs incurred. I thought this was very fair.

Peter was a pleasure to work with right from the start. His price was competitive and he was responsive throughout the entire process. Job was complete in 3 weeks. All of his employees/contractors were courteous and attentive to detail. It was a pleasure working with Peter and my husband and I would not hesitate recommending Superior Pools to anyone looking for a backyard oasis.

After interviewing several pool companies, we decided to go with Peter and Superior Pools. Their pricing was very competitive and everyone we talked with seemed great. The construction process is a bit of a mess, but you just have to prepare yourself for the construction period. The end result came out perfect for our family and Peter and his service team has always gone out of their way to make sure our family was swimming as soon as possible. I'm sure most pool companies will make a lot of promises, Peter, Superior Pools and their team will deliver! I would pick Superior all over again if given the chance.

Superior provides an excellent end product! The stone work has such craftsmanship! Their customer service has been outstanding for the past 2.5 years. Finished on time even with some bad winter weather. Highly recommend!

Our experience was awesome. We had a contact person through every step of the building process. When we went to Superior,s showroom we really didnt even know where to begin or how to tell them what we wanted. Rob made an appointment and with in a week and came to our house. He had all kinds of ideas. The next step was putting it all in 3D so we could decide shape,size,color,features, and how much we wanted to spend. I was concerned about it going with our house size and neighborhood. They did an awesome job making it all work. Of course the weather was on our side during this whole process. Anytime we had questions there was always someone who knew the answer. We looked at only one other place but after speaking to Superior and seeing what kind of customer service was behind them , our choice was made. the whole process only took about 10 weeks which was less than what we expected. I'm super excited for summer to get here. We love our spa and plan on using for New Years! We would be more than willing for anyone to contact Superior and come see the beautiful pool they built. My family and I would 100% recommend this company!!!!!

We didn't use Superior Pools and Spas. We weren't comfortable. We didn't like the sales person that came. He was pretty much responsive.

Great experience ~ in the spring of 2014 we finally decided to invest in a pool. We started calling several pool companies, Superior Pools was the most professional and respectful of all pool companies, hands-down. I say that because, we had to reschedule 3 times with Anthony Sylvan due to the fact that they never showed up or somehow forgot about our scheduled meeting. My family met with Peter Sr. and Peter Jr, several times, and we were so impressed with his company, the referrals, his showcase, and all his construction crew teams. The number one reason we selected Superior Pools was because of the price, design and quality of work. Superior Pools really wants to make sure your pool looks the best at the end of the day. We could have cut corners but not with Superior Pools. They worked with us to make sure we maximized our pool and got what we wanted. Peter Sr. and Peter Jr. are great people and great business owners. I would strongly recommend Superior Pools hands down over any other pool company in the Charlotte market area.

The contractors who worked on every phase were polite and professional. From the Superintendent down to the tile company, we felt at ease with the process. I loved working with Pete Jr on the design- to see it on the computer with his technology really allowed us to design exactly what we wanted. There were no surprises along the way, and they definitely were flexible when it came to some changes to the decking we desired in the middle of the process. I wouldn't change a thing and we have a very happy family and lots of people are enjoying our pool. I would recommend them to anyone searching for a great company to design and install their pool. There were so many options to pick from, and we knew we were in good hands! Thank you!

After a few phone calls and emails back and forth as well as a visit to their showroom in Cornelius we decided not to pursue a pool. In saying that it wasn't because of anything that Superior did. They were absolutely fantastic from Ralph and his extreme expertise and incredible designs all the way to Peter following up with us and making sure we were being taken care of. This company treated us right from the start and would have earned our business if we had decided to pursue with a pool. At the end of the day I would highly recommend Ralph Bottega to anyone that is thinking about putting a pool in. He was very professional and often very funny. He presented pool building in a way that a novice could understand. If you are in the market for a pool I would definitely call Superior and ask for Ralph to come out and help you design your vision. You will be glad you did.

My husband has always wanted a pool and we started the process of interviewing different pool companies upon building our new home in October of 2014. We interviewed at least 7 pool companies that I can recall, it was a very frustrating process as we found poor communication and follow up, we even had some companies that would never call us back. We also talked to friends and neighbors that had put in pools and we found that everyone told us the same thing, they had a horrible experience building their pools and thereafter, in fact we were discouraged by most to even build a pool. My husband and I wanted this to be a positive experience given the investment we would be making. Superior Pools from the minute we started talking to them until this day have not only been a pleasure to work with, but they have exceeded our expectations in every part of the pool building process. We met Peter Jr first, he came out to our home on multiple occasions to listen to what we wanted in terms of look, size, budget and functionality. Peter was able through technology and experience to literally create a beautiful rendering of a pool in our backyard at our kitchen table with the entire families input. We were also impressed that Superior Pools is a family owned business and were surprised at how quickly both Peter Jr and his father Peter Sr would respond to our endless questions before committing to them to build our pool. One of the things that was impressive to me was that we saw pictures of all the pools that Superior had built and realized very quickly that compared to most that they typically build, ours was on the lower price point, but you would never have known, because they always treated us like we were their only customer. The pool building process was exciting and fascinating to watch, they are an extremely talented group, all of the different guys that were on our pool project were friendly, respectful of our property and were clearly very experienced in their field. Peter Jr and his father were always available to us throughout the entire process as well as today, months after they received final payment with many pool projects going on, I'm amazed at how they are able to be so responsive. I brag on this company to anyone that is considering building a pool or anyone that visits our home when asked how things went. Our pool is beautiful, it brings us so much joy to see our children, family and friends enjoying all of its benefits, for example, our son has severe eczema and with having the hot tub all year round to enjoy and the pool, his skin has never been better. We have enjoyed many celebrations in less than a year, birthdays, graduations, cookouts and even enjoying the stars on a summer night to warmth during the winter with snow on the ground in our hot tub. We recently saw Peter Sr. at the Home and Garden show and he knew us by first name and it was like running into an old friend, I really don't think most people could say that about their pool contractor, so for all of those reasons we highly recommend Superior Pools!! I had 3 different pool companies come out to my home to perform site visits and submit their design proposals. I was reading all the reviews and really trying to do my due diligence, given the size and scope of the project. From the moment my wife and I sat down with Peter and Robert up in their showroom, we knew we were in good hands. Needless to say, we were nervous about the process, but Peter and his team of experts guided us through this major construction project with patience and knowledge. They had the answers to all of our questions (and we had a lot!) and they handled us with respect and courtesy. My neighbors up the street were also interested in the project as they also have been thinking about a putting pool in their back yard, so my project offered them the ability to see the process happen before their eyes. I guess the fact that they are currently in the process of having Superior build their pool as of March 2016, is proof positive that Superior builds a quality pool. We have enjoyed our pool for almost a year now, and we love the hot tub on these warm late winter/early spring nights. My kids have even enjoyed the hot tub on some very cold winter nights! One of the great features about the pool is that I can control it from anywhere with my iphone and the iaqualink app. If we are out to dinner and decide we want the hot tub to be hot by the time we get home, it's as easy as the push of a button. The Polaris 360 cleaner is another great feature of the pool, and I could go on and on. Our friends and family love the atmosphere that Superior has created in our backyard and we love entertaining out there. I have to mention Craig their head of maintenance. He continues to answer questions I may have about my equipment even 1 year later.

The company owner came to our house for one of the initial meetings to discuss what we wanted, what our budgetary constraints were, and what options we had not considered. The reps before, during, and after the sale - and installation - were responsive and helpful at every turn. We were presented with several options for how to fill the pool after construction completed. We were also given specific, clear instructions for pool care after construction completed..and several times beyond that. We were extremely pleased with the overall experience and could not be happier with the final product. We are grateful for how Superior supported us throughout, and following, the process. We would gladly recommend Superior to anyone considering a pool.

Peter, the owner of the company, came out personally to speak with us about the installing an in ground pool. We decided to use Superior Pools because of the experience they have in this industry. They built a lovely pool in a short period of time considering that building a pool is a big project. The project was complete by the date promised, which was very important because we had a sweet 16 birthday pool party planned. Everyone who came out during the project was very professional and courteous and answered any questions we had. I called and spoke to Peter on several occasions and found him to be very helpful. The pool was installed in the summer of 2014, so we were able to enjoy it for the remainder of that first summer and all of last summer. Even though some time had passed before our first full summer of having the pool, I was able to contact Superior Pools with questions last year and was given quick and courteous service. We are very happy that we decided to upgrade the lighting when we had the pool installed. The kids and adults love to see the lights change colors when we use that setting. It has been great overall experience and we absolutely love the pool!

Wow! Not sure really where to begin. I'm sure it's probably the same with all reading this post........what a BIG decision! My wife and I began this quest over a year ago. After months and months and months of reading online we were more confused after than before we started. We soon learned there are experts that completely disagree with other experts in every single category there is. Should we use a salt generator? Ozone generator? Fiberglass? Gunite? Pebble tec? Jeez! More to follow on all of that.. The biggest decision was by far the contractor. This is obviously not something you can just change midstream so we spent months and months doing our homework. After several nights on Angie's List and similar sights we invited four major swimming pool contractors to our home. One of the four forgot about the appointment and had to reschedule, one was about 30 minutes late and the other two were on time. Superior was on time and both Peter Sr and Peter Jr came. After meeting with all four contractors, two definitely stood out from the rest. I asked the two companies to draw up designs and give me detailed quotes. One of the companies emailed the pictures to me with a quote and Superior invited me to their showroom in Cornelius. This is where things started to change. We arrived in Cornelius and met with Peter Jr. He is the designer of all the pools. He completes a computerized drawing of your pool in your backyard and gives you a three dimensional tour. It was awesome. We were able to walk around the pool, look at it from the deck, sunset, lights on....lights off, you get the picture. He left us with a detailed price list of the options we discussed and was able to change options on the computer so we could see the difference in upgrades in real time. At the end of the day......their price beat the competition by a mile! I called Peter Jr. back a million times to send new pictures with different options. He always answered immediately and got me what I wanted. I share this because this was what helped us make our final decision. It took some of these other contractors several days to get back to us and on several occasions we had to call them back multiple times. Who has beg a company for their business! So Superior Pools and Spas it was. We signed a contract with both Peter Jr and Sr on a Sunday in early June. We were told that our permits take about a month and that they would get started as soon as the permits were issued. We had read horror stories about how long it took so I had them put a time limit in the contract. (12 weeks) The permits were issued on July 1. They were there the next day laying out the pool and putting up contractor boxes. I met Tim, the construction supervisor of my job. He shared his number with me and told me to call him with anything that I needed. Super nice guy and very responsive! The following week they dug the pool, put all the steel and plumbing in. I have never seen anything happen so fast in my life. Our pool was pretty big too (21x33) 3 1/2 ft in shallow end and 8 ft in the deep end. Both Sr and Jr warned me it would like like a missile hit it. They were right....haha! Everyone was very professional and did exactly what they were supposed to do. Two days following the the steel they were shooting gunite . I had no idea it would happen so fast. Etter and his crew came out for tile, rock, flagtone coping. They were there a total of four days. These guys were unbelievable. True artists! Side note.....I had an interesting conversation with Etter while he was there. He has done work for several pool companies in Charlotte and surrounding. He told me that Superior was the best by far. He said that a lot of big contractors wait to get checks from customers to finish jobs on other jobs. In other words they are constantly chasing their tails. He said that the reason Superior is so quick is that they have their own subcontractors and the few they do pull from the outside, they pay them immediately so everyone likes to work for them. So anyway, our rockwork, coping and tile turned out awesome. The plumbers were done in two days and before I knew it, everything was being buried. Etter's crew came back out to do the pavers and finish up on some planters surrounding the pool. I came home August 10th and they were cleaning the pool out and getting ready for the quartz finish. Yes, we chose quartz. I know I know.......you read pebble tec is the best. In short, we just hated the feel of it. We have a huge sun shelf in the pool you can lay on and the quartz is just so smooth. It's all about preference but I ask each of you to go and lay down on pebble tec before you commit. We did! We also chose salt. We just liked the way it felt on our skin. We have no regrets. On August the 13th they did the quartz finish and the hose was in the pool when they left. Our pool was approximately 25,000 gallons. The quote was about $1000 for a truck and ended up costing us about $375 with the City. It was filled in two days. From grass in our backyard to water in the pool was FIVE WEEKS AND TWO DAYS!!!!! I had general contractors coming by my house telling me that this was unheard of. They said they were building houses with pools and it was taking pool contractors on average 6 months to finish. We actually had a friend that hired another company and it took 10 months! Crazy! They came out cleaned up real good and took care of some minor punch work. Peter Sr. called several times to check up on me. Craig, the pool maintenance guy, is awesome. He came out and took care of everything from day one. At the end of the month he did a little pool school and orientation with my wife. Our only available day was Labor Day and he came out. I'm telling you........these guys are the real deal. We have been in the pool constantly. Our spa takes 15 minutes to heat. We control everything on our phone or by remote that sits by the pool. We could not be happier. This was an awesome experience from day one and we got everything we wanted and more. If you are in the market, look no further. We did all the research for you. If you would like to come out and check out our pool just tell Peter to bring you by Rob and Christie's house. We don't mind as we liked looking at other pools too. After no one returning my call, The owner of the company called me the other day and apologized for not getting back to me. He explained they had an issue with their computer web-site requests which is the reason no one got back in touch with me. He was very sincere and professional. I truly appreciated his honesty and the fact he took the time to call me. Thank you!

I contracted for Superior to build a gunite pool roughly 14x28 feet which is amazing . I truly believe they built a quality pool at a very reasonable price. I spent a few years researching & debating whether to build a pool. I looked at 4 companies & got 3 quotes. I?m very happy I chose Superior.

Back on June 5, 2012... I wrote the first Angie's List review on Superior Pools. Please understand that they were not a new company and I had already done a TON of research on this company before I had them install our pool. I am please to say that after 4 years, they continue to provide great service. About 2 years ago, we had a major flood and our pool got filled with mud! To make matters worse, we were going out of town in 3 days and did not know what to do...one call to Peter and he handled everything. Came out, put chemicals in the pool and had his team clean it... NO CHARGE!!! WOW! Most recently had some minor issues and questions, again Peter and his service manager Eric are so responsive. This time Craig came out and was wonderful and continued to help me and made sure everything was still in good working order... he even labeled all my switches... what a great personal touch. This was one of the biggest purchases my wife and I have ever done and there are a million pool companies. Peter and team continue to provide a high-level of service and commitment to their work and after 4 years still happy with my decision to go with Superior Pools..

I thought about owning a pool for years. So, I called a few pool companies to get quotes. After going through the process I went to each companies showroom and spoke to some of there client's. I was very impressed with Superior's showroom, pool design, and price. I signed the contract and plunged in. They helped me through the homeowner's association, and got all the permits. They gave me a start date showed up and started digging. They told me (8) weeks. The whole process took only (6) so I was thrilled! The pool is beautiful and I am extremely happy and have recommended Superior to several friends.

After meeting with a few different pool builders and comparing designs, we chose to go with Superior Pools. We looked at several of the pools that they had already built and felt that Superior offered the quality, value and workmanship that we were after. Superior offered several material choices for the pool deck, pool coping, pool tile and plaster. All of this gave us choices while also allowing us to stay within our budget. We agreed on the design and had Superior come out and stake the pool. After seeingit in real life, we wanted to change the shape and size to better fit our back yard. Superior listened to what we wanted, did a complete redraw and gave us exactly what we wanted. The stone on our house isvery unique and the masons did an excellent job matching the stone. We went with the Jandy pool equipment and the IAqua Link and we could not be happier. Superior has been very respponsive with both service and warranty and overall we have a beautiful pool that we are very proud of. Thanks guys for a job well done.

Eddie and Peter did all they could to satisfy me, provide excellent service, and negotiate fair pricing. There were several occasions that subcontractors did not "show up" on the day promised. When this occurred, I phoned Eddie and he resolved the issues immediately. I am very satisfied with my pool and would recommend this company to my friends.

We don't expect or want anything from this experience. Peter did offer to make some kind of "special" contract with us. All we wanted was customer service. My husband and I appreciate Peter's effort and apology.

Mr. Johnson was on time at the appointed date. We reviewed the scope of work and he would submit a quote. I appreciate that he took it upon himself rather than send a salesperson to mend the mix up and lost contact information.

Robert, the sales rep from Superior Pools, came to our home twice. The first meeting he came out to discuss our project needs/ideas and provided great information. The second meeting he showed us detailed design plans that incorporated our ideas - as well as a detailed estimate for the project. Although we decided not to go with Superior Pools for our project due to cost, we would highly recommend Robert and Superior Pools - as he was timely and professional.
