Gary was at my house for less than 15 minutes, but the unit was working when he left, albeit making a strange noise. Later that night I called Gary to let him know the unit was not working well and that my house was still very warm (over 80 degrees). He told me to be patient, and that it takes many hours to cool down a hot house. My house is only 1200 sq. feet. I left for work the next morning trusting what Gary said and that the house would be cool upon my return. However, when I returned from work my house was 87 degrees. I have 2 old dogs with breathing problems that cannot handle the heat. I called Gary more than a dozen times over the next two days, but he never answered the phone or returned my messages. I finally broke down and called Morris Jenkins. I could not further jeopardize the health of my dogs. The repair man said that the contacter was very dirty and full of dead ants and that it had definitely not been repaired. I had to pay over $400 to repair the unit, even though I have a warranty that covers all parts with Motley. I am most upset that Gary disregarded my concerns that the unit wasn't working well and that he ignored my repeated attempts to contact him. He jeopardized the health of my pets. We suffered through 2 of the hottest days of the year waiting for him to get back to me, and he never did. After I contacted the Better Business Bureau, Gary agreed to reimburse me for the service fee of $85 and to try to get me reimbursed for the cost of the part under the 10-year warranty, but he did neither. Be warned! Avoid Motley Heating and Cooling.
Description of Work: My AC unit that Motley Heating and Cooling installed in August 2013 was not working on Tuesday, July 12, so I called Gary with Motley Heating and Cooling. Gary arrived the next day and said that an ant problem damaged the contacter and that he would replace the part. The part was covered under my warranty, so I only paid a $85 service fee.
