Painting & Moore

I called Painting and Moore in early February and Gil came out within a few days to prepare a quote. They were able to do the work one week after we hired them, due to unseasonably warm weather. The deck was pressure washed one day and was stained two days later, after we decided on a color. Gil made a special effort to locate the same stain and color they had used on our deck in the past, because we like it and it's what we wanted. The crew was polite, hard working, and did a terrific job. We're very happy with our deck.

Saul and his team were fantastic performing all of the interior painting work and trim painting. They were very quiet and respectful that I was working from home and were quiet. They work they performed was above exceptional and the completed product was incredible. We will hire Painting and Moore for all of our painting needs going forward. Definitely a great company to work with. Always on time, polite and very professional.

From the time Gil showed up to provide an estimate until Saul and his crew left on the last day, these people were skilled, meticulous and polite. Gil kept me informed about the timing and showed up periodically to inspect and make sure i was satisfied. Saul listened and responded with his crew to all of my concerns. The wood replacement was top notch and everything looks brand new. A change during the painting process by us was met with patience by Gil and Saul's team. This crew is excellent.

Jon Moore is the most honest business owner I have done business with! I've done business with some of the top Angie's List companies. None of them can compare to the service I received from Painting and Moore. Jon cares about his clients! The paint crew worked so hard and were meticulous. They didn't paint over cracked or chipping paint. They prepared the surface the right way and made sure I knew when they found rotted wood so it could be replaced. Ignore the bad reviews you might see on Angie's List. Give Painting and Moore a chance to show you how amazing they are! You won't regret it!!!!

They did come out, but mentioned that it would be a week or two before they could get back to me with the quote. I said I was not in a hurry, so I was not initially concerned by the timeline. It's been over 2 months. No quote. I have not called them as I don't think I should have to.

John was really easy to work with, and was extremely knowledgeable and professional throughout the entire process. He was easy to get in touch with and the whole experience was seamless.

It took a while to get them out to the house,but they were worth the wait. There were weather issues and it was an outside job.

The initial painting crew was not very good. It became more and more obvious as time went on we noticed a lot of issues; deep colors are challenging and can show mistakes such as brush strokes and poor coverage very easily. The first crew damaged a standing jewel chest and left it to look like it as undamaged. As soon as we moved it, it was obvious they had broken the legs on it. There were so many issues that I felt compelled to rate Painting and Moore as an F. When the rating posted they immediately contacted me and wanted to know what were the issues I had seen. They sent their sales manager out and we walked through the house so he could see first hand the amateurish job that crew had done. I've painted several houses myself and have used flat, eggshell and semi gloss paint in deep vibrant colors. I never left areas of obvious brush strokes and uneven coverage when I painted. So I was really upset that a professional painting company would do such a poor job. Painting and Moore sent a new painter out to the house within a couple of days of looking at the poor job that was done. The new painter took his time and corrected the bad job that was done previously. Painting and Moore painted guest bathroom at no charge and did a very good, professional job. I have changed my rating to an A because Painting and Moore stood behind their guarantee and made things right. Good to see in a buyer beware world a company that stands behind their word.

Painting and Moore did a great job. It is certainly not an easy task to please over 100+ residents with everything. P&M did a pretty gol-darned good job of making most of them happy. The results of their work over the two year period was great. Our community looks fresh, clean and crisp thanks to the work done by Painting and Moore.

Fantastic. Saul, the foreman and his crew did a wonderful job. When they were finished for the day the cleanup was as if they had not even been there. The finished job was beautiful and Cory my company rep stayed in constant contact. I would recommend without hesitation.

They were very good. I believe that the people that they use were not their normal employees. I don't know if they do or not, but at the end I went around the house to check and they had missed some areas. I asked that a certain area be redone, and they told me they couldn't do it. They left some of their equipment here. It was just little things like that they could have done better. Some of the men that were working, they were Spanish speaking individuals, they would talk and laugh. They were joking around and squirting the hose at each other. I thought that was a little unprofessional. I'm not going to criticize them for that because they were having a good time and no harm was done. It was just not 100% professional.

Excellent. Very clean, no paint spots. Very conscientious. Used high quality paint from Sherwin Williams. Very pleasant people. Took care of things, that were not in the scope of work. Will be hiring them again in the near future. A pleasure to work with!

I work in the service industry. My standards are pretty high, but Corey, Gill, Jose and Georges were awesome!!! Corey came by at the appointed time, wrote a fair estimate and was able to squeeze our job in before a party that we were having. Gill and Jose knew that I would not be happy with the stain that I chose and made recommendation's that would be a better fit for our house and they were right. Jose and Georges were extremely patient with the weather and worked our job around mother nature. Jose and Georges were very professional, neat and respected my house and property. Both were very polite, considerate and left the place clean everyday. I wasn't sure what to expect, but Painting & Moore exceeded my expectations. If they can please my wife, then you know they did a great job. I know that I no longer need to find a light carpenter and painting company, I can simply call Corey and I know that Painting & Moore will do a wonderful job at a fair price.

We got an estimate from this company to paint the following: A single 12x12 room, just the walls, and three rooms worth of trim work (moldings, but not baseboards. - previous owners had trim done in an off-white, with baseboards being white.) The company's estimate for this work was $3300, but we got an "Angie's List discount" which brought it down to $2400+. This was for less than a days work (according to Gil) that could be completed ASAP. We have NEVER gotten such an outrageous estimate for such little work. When my husband said that he wouldn't pay more than $1500 for this job, Gil told him he "wouldn't be able to get the guys to work a job for that". We did not hire this company, so I can not vouch for the quality of their work. We hired another professional company to do the job and have been very satisfied (with the trim on an additional hallway, kitchen, and bathroom added) for less than $1000. Other estimates from other companies ranged from $750-$1250.

The Painting & Moore team did an excellent job! I was amazed by the results. I had previously tried scrubbing and washing my porch trim, and it never came clean. From that experience I expected that the black build-up on the gutters would not come off, and they would need painting too. However, Painting & Moore's power wash of the porch trim produced excellent results, and their combination of power wash and hand scrubbing the gutters got them looking like new! I had some trim places with damaged paint, so they did need to repaint the front trim to cover the damage. The color match was excellent. And then to top it all off, they hand washed the exterior of the windows! The best service and price from a painting contractor I've experienced. They gave me a 25% Angie List discount. The resulting price was much less than the quotes from other contractors. Highly recommend!
