Painting & Moore

I reached out to Painting & Moore for assistance with two painting projects. The first project involved painting the exterior of my 2-story, 1900+ sq. ft. house. Due to a recent issue with my air conditioner springing a leak and creating water marks on my foyer ceiling and in my guest room closet, both interior areas needed to be re-painted, which spurred the need for the second project. I contacted Painting & Moore and spoke with Jon, the owner, directly. We quickly arranged a time for him to come out to my home to inspect the interior and exterior areas and to provide me with a quote for his services. Jon arrived promptly for our meeting, evaluated the project and provided me with a detailed quote "package". The package included a detailed description of the work to be done (e.g., # of coats of paint per area, type/brand of paint, list of areas where wood needed to be replaced, etc.), a copy of his business license, insurance documents, etc. All-in-all it was a very thorough quote package. Jon then walked me through the quote package, in detail, to ensure that we were both on the same page. We then scheduled the work. Jon called the day that the work was scheduled to begin to confirm the arrival time of his staff. On Monday, 9/21, the Painting & Moore Team (3 gentlemen) powerwashed the outside of my home. On Tuesday, 9/22, they painted all interior areas. They had to hold off on painting the exterior areas due to bad weather. On Wednesday, 9/23, they painted the exterior of the house. The Painting & Moore Team was very punctual, professional, polite and really hard workers. Jon has put together a great team. They did a great job of prepping the areas for painting (e.g., laying down tarps, etc.), painting and cleaning up after the work was completed. Upon completion, Jon came out to my house to review the work and to see if I had any questions or if anything needed to be addressed. Everything was perfect! My house looks wonderful!!! I will definitely give Jon and his team a call for my next painting project. P.S. Prior to my house being painted, I had already referred Painting & Moore to a friend and she hired them right away. Jon took $$ off of my bill for sending him the referral.What a bonus!!!

They did an excellent job with the work. The crew was very punctual and professional. They were great to work with. I have already referred them to others. I give them A's all the way down the line.

Very pleased with the work done by Jon's crew. They were very hard working and did a great job. As promised, as they found additional rotten wood (from what was originally quoted), they replaced it a no additional charge to me. The house looks great!

Jon gave me a written estimate on his first visit; he took his time and gave me a good price. (The next lowest estimate came in just $100 less; the next hightest was $1000 more!) He stated that if they found any more wood that needed repair, it would be done "on him". He kept his word. His crew pressure washed and due to rain, had to delay a day. They were always on time, worked until dusk, cleaned up daily and were very polite & professional. The whole job was completed in 3 days. I will definitely hire them again.

I contacted Jon who came out the next day to meet with me for my estimate. He gave me a detailed estimate at that time and was able to begin the following week. The crew came out and was very polite and cleaned up each night. The work was completed quickly and completely. At the final walk around with Jon and the crew there were only a few minor touchups needed which were taken care of at that time. It was a great experience overall and completed quickly.

They arrived on time, worked all day and completed the job in about a week. They repaired rotted wood and siding as they found it and were very reasonable in repairing. I would suggest anyone having an exterior paint job done, to hire this company to do all of the work, including the prep and replacement of rotted wood. We hired someone else to replace rotted wood, and while they did a good job, I would have saved a huge amount in allowing Moore's company to do it all.

Jon followed up with me during the 1 week it took to finish my house. They were quick they worked late hours and were very mindful of all the animals I have inside. I would definalty recommend him to anyone that needs repairs on their home. He offered me many types of ways to fix the home that could fit my budget. Highly recommended on my part. he said he would post before and after pictures on his site. So go look for that too!

They did a nice job. They were polite. There was good communication and contact. They were pretty honest and kind as well.

The company's estimate was in the middle of the other quotes I received, What I liked about John was his price was all inclusive, even if he found additional wood rot, which he did. He guarantees his work and was very accomodating. There were a few minor things I forgot to ask him to do and he did it with no extra charge (even though I offered to pay the extra) The crew was great, they showed up on time, stayed all day and cleaned up after themselves. The owner checked in with me and the crew every day. The painting was completed in 3 days. Very detail oriented. They also clean the windows after all the painting was done. The owner did a walk around with me to tell me what was done and replaced.

Jon was very responsive and came out to provide an estimate the same week I contacted him. He talked me through design/color options and the cost implications for each. Still unsure about a color selection, he gave me his color swatch book to keep and offered that his crew would do as many test swatches as needed. The crew arrived on schedule and were very professional and efficient/quick workers. The leader was great and involved throughout the entire process. They even moved VERY heavy furniture off the 2-story deck, to ensure full covereage, instead of working around it as others I contacted had suggested. Both he and Jon returned upon completion to ensure I was completely satisfied with the work, the color selections and the cleanup.

Jon was nice and professional. He provided a very reasonable price with an immediate detailed estimate. He offers a discount to Angies list members and he warranties his work for five years. The crew was great, very nice and very neat. Everyone was prompt and very patient when it came to getting the paint blended to the right color. The house looks great. Crew chief, Alex left extra paint and advised they would come back after the other exterior work, (siding trim, roof and gutters),is completed to perform any necessary touch ups. I will be using paiting and Moore for other work I will need done later this year. Excellent experience!

Very professional, the owner and individuals that worked for him strived to do high quality work. We are very pleased with the results.

The job started exactly as promised. Jon came to the house at least once a day to check on progress and help with color choices. Alex who ran the job was very efficient and with the crew repaired,painted and attended to any unforeseen problems. He is very knowledgeable and made sure we were happy with things. Overall,it was a good experience.

Extremely well. Responded promptly to request for a quote; gave a thorough quote and explained it well. They arrived on-time to paint and did an excellent job from preparation thru painting and replacing things. They were neat and courteous at all times.

John is prompt and courteous. He provided a very professional, detailed estimate and the quote was reasonably priced. He even decided not to charge extra when we changed the color of the doors and shutters. His crew worked very hard and paid close attention to detail. Surface preparation, including replacement of rotten wood, scraping and caulking was done very well. Alex, the job foreman, was courteous and made sure that every thing was complete to our satisfaction. Crew members always cleaned up after themselves, making sure to remove shoes when they had to enter the house.

Jon Moore came out and gave us a thorough and accurate estimate. When we decided to go with his company, he and his team were ready to go within a few days. They power-washed the house on a Saturday. On Monday, they began repairing the damaged sections of the hardboard siding and putting up sample paint colors for us to consider. They were patient as we made our decision. The team worked quickly and put in very long days. Jon came to the house at least once a day and made sure he was available for questions. His foreman, Alex, was also very professional and knowledgeable. They painted with brushes rather than by spraying. Jon guaranteed that he would keep the final cost the same as his estimate, even if that meant that he had to absorb the cost of additional siding replacement. He kept his promise with this and was very fair when we discussed his putting on an additional coat of paint on the body of the house. He also offered a great discount for Angie's List Members. By Thursday morning, the team was finished. Jon met with us to inspect the work together before we settled the account. We found two small matters that still needed attending. He made sure that Alex came back out within a few days to address these issues.

We received a prompt response to our original inquiry. Jon came at the agreed upon time, listened to what we needed, made a professional assessment and provided a printed estimate on site. His team was courteous and neat. He always came by to check on their progress and make sure everything was going as planned. They completed the job when they said they would and we are extremely pleased with the results. We would definitely use Painting & Moore again and highly recommend them to others.

Jon and his crew are fabulous. They worked from 9am until dark for 3 days in a row. They completey cleaned up the job site every night. They were polite and professional and went above and beyond by working with me when I couldn't choose a color -- they let me choose different colors, got samples for me (for free) and then we tried out each sample. They also pressure washed an outbuilding for me for free. Also, there was substantial repair needed to my siding, and originally we thought I was going to have to replace a lot of board...but Alex, the crew lead person, advised that I wait until he had a chance to scrape it and try to work with it - to save me some $$. And that is exactly what he did...he was able to repair most of the siding and do a minimum of replacement.

Work began right on time at 8:30AM, Jon introduced me to Alex and we walked around the house together. Alex and crew went right to work. They were professional, hard working, cheerful, and playful with my dog. There was more rot on the house then originally thought. The house was sanded, all rotted boards were replaced, the house painted and the price did not change. The last day Jon came to inspect the house and ensure my satisfaction. Alex and his crew went all out with the painting, repairs, and clean up. I have had multiple experiences with service people not showing up at the designated time and not calling to say they would be late. Jon and his crew were spot on time. It was an absolute pleasure to have these gentlemen around. I have interior work that I plan to have Jon do in the spring. I have also made several recommendations to friends and colleagues.

Due to weather conditions work commenced later than planned. Jon made sure that painting was not done unless the temperature was above 40 degrees. Work began November 17 and was completed November 22. There were some items that needed additional attention and it was taken care of promptly.

I called 2 painters from Angie's List. Jon Moore came promptly and provided a very thorough proposal, including his warranty and certificate of liability insurance. His price was inclusive, covering any wood rot encountered. He did encounter unexpected rot around a bow window, which required wood replacement. Jon introduced me to his foreman, Alex, who was polite and a hard worker. The proposal offered the option of upgrading to Sherwin Williams Duration paint for $300 along with his warranty extension from 5 years to 7 years, which we chose. Jon met me at the house at my convenience, including the final walk around, at which time we made the full payment. No money up front was requested.

Jon came out within a day of calling him to give me an estimate. He told me everything that was involved, addressed any questions and concerns that I had, and gave me options as far as what was involved if I needed to do less to cut costs, and do more if I chose to do so, and exactly what was involved. Once I called him back, there was a crew at my house in less than one week doing all the prep work. During the entire process Jon and his crew communicated well, and he was there every day to check on the work being done, and make sure I was happy with things. Once prep work was started, the house was completed in less than a week. The painting crew showed up each day a 0900, and worked until dark. We picked the paint colors, and they were willing to do any test patches on the house, and change colors if we wanted; though we didn't change our original choice, we had several test patches done on the trim work. During the process, any cars nearby were covered with plastic (mine and my neighbors). There was no damage to any landscaping, or paint drops on the ground as they were good about using drop cloths. Once all the work was completed, Jon came out and personally made a list of any small details he thought were missed, or needed addressing, made sure I walked around and approved of everything and added anything to that list; it was all taken care of later that day. Overall, it was a good experience. Work was done that was agreed upon in an efficient, timely manner, and the quality of work is what I expected. I would/will use Jon again when I need him in the future.
