They purchased the paint so it was included in the price. They were very responsive and quick to get back in touch with us. They were very professional and did a beautiful handout. He actually came over and looked at the job. He sat in his car and put together the estimate. He gave us an actual folder with their expectations, our expectations, what was going to be done on the job and what to expect. It was very clear cut and said what we were going to do and what they were going to do. Their price was a little bit expensive because the inside was railings and very detailed painting. It was very meticulous work. I would have charged that price had I been doing the painting. It was more expensive than other painting jobs we've had done but they did a great job. We were very satisfied with it. We did get a 25% discount because we were Angie's List members.

The project went great. The company started by pressure washing everything and evaluating the siding, trim and other boards that needed replacement. Since the house has the original wood siding, they spent about 1.5 days prepping the house with caulk, scraping off loose paint, replacing boards, etc.There was considerable attention to detail. One example was a replaced board around an outside light fixture. The new board was cut better than the original and I noticed the difference. The house was painted with Duration paints, by carefully brush painting each board so it was covered properly with paint. Agian I was impressed with the focus on the details by the crew. Once painted, the house looked great. Also, we have a deck that is 20+ years old. Although the wood is still good, it needed some tending. As part of the pressure wash, the deck was washed. When it came time to stain the deck, they sanded the entire deck to remove the surface layer of wood. Then used Cabot stain to seal the deck. The painters were exceptionally good at making this old deck look good again. There were many extras they took care of while here such as removing an old baskeball goal from the garage, painting a swing and staining some wood planters to match the deck.

EXCELLENT WORK! After having problems with a company I contracted with previously that could not do the work I called painting and moore and they promptly stepped up to help. Not only did they do a better job than the previous company, but their cost was less and their responsiveness was much better. Hard workers that went over and above anything I could have expected.

I would highly recommend Painting & Moore. They exceeded my expectations in all areas. Steve Stevens and his crew did an outstanding job - the house was repainted with outstanding workmanship. They thoroughly repaired / replaced all areas that needed attention (window casings, siding, gutters), prepped the exterior, and painted. I was completely satisfied with their work. They completed the job on time, with excellent results, at a very reasonable price. They did a good job of cleaning up the site after all work was completed. Steve and his crew were punctual and professional; the job came out exactly to the provided estimate - no hidden fees or charges. My eighteen plus year old home was overdue for a paint job. As the job was too big for my "handy man" painter, I went to Angie's list for recommendations. Chose Painting & Moore and one other "A" rated contractor to provide estimates. Both were very professional and the prices were comparable. The decision was difficult, but Mr. Moore had a slight edge on my "confidence meter". The crew showed up right on time every day. The prep work was meticulously done, they "worked" continuously, the supervisor communicated with me as necessary throughout the job, the site was left clean and neat each day when they left, and care was taken to avoid damage to my other property. At the end, Mr. Moore showed up and I was given the opportunity to go over the entire job with him to ensure my satisfaction. The wood repair that was required was more than tripple the amount in the estimate. True to his word Mr. Moore did not attempt to recover for the extra cost in the final settlement. I was totally satisfied with the performance of this company.

The gentleman who came to give the estimate couldn't have been more thorough or kind. He went over all the details with me and made sure we were on the same page. We needed to know how much to budget for this project but weren't ready to actually paint for several months. They still honored their estimate several months later. The crew that came was EXTRAORDINARY in the care they gave to their job. Things were cleaned up every night, they were polite and worked quickly. Even though the foreman was initially reluctant to go with the colors we chose, in the end he was very proud of their work and agreed it was the perfect combination of colors for our setting. We have more painting to do - other building and inside work as well and will definitely call on this company again!!!!

We had a great experience with Painting and Moore. We had a quote in hand less than 24 hours after my initial call. The crew was a joy to have around the house. They were careful to clean up daily. We knew we had some siding and cornerboards that needed replacing, and those were figured into the estimate. As it turned out, those doing prep work found considerably more wood that needed replacing. We all agreed to add this to the estimate basically at cost of the materials. In all ways, Painting and Moore exhibited true professionalism and diligent, careful work.

It was easy to set up an appointment for an estimate by calling the office. The account manager showed up right on time and then provided me with a written estimate. The estimate book also included reference lists, more information about the company, and their insurance coverage. Very professional! We needed 10 shutters painted on the house and were also going to have the front porch, driveway, and small back patio pressure washed. The estimate was a little higher than I expected even with the Angie's List member discount coupon. We haven't decided yet if we will hire them for this small job or not. We are definitely going to keep them in mind for a future interior project.

I called two contractors for estimates. Wes came out promptly and gave me an estimate that was 1/3 of the other contractor. I was on a tight time-frame since I had company coming into town (and I had already tried peeling the wallpaper from the ceiling). Painting and Moore scheduled my job in a timely manner, and Wes assured me that the job would be completed on time. There was a crew of five who showed up, and everything was done in two days! Painters were friendly and respectful of my home. They even moved all the furniture back to the original position. I will certainly use this company again.

Well everything was great. They also have a nice quote but not as detailed as Carolina Painting but they had a detailed quote. They are very professional. They did a great job. I guess the other thing that made me go with them is they took credit cards – that was a key to me. I probably would have gone with Carolina Painting even though they were a little bit more – he would probably would negotiated with me but it was the credit card that made me go with this people.

Jon and his crew were great! They were professional, efficient and obviously experienced. They power washed the whole house; repaired, primed and painted everything we asked them to; were careful around our landscape and cleaned up after the job was complete. Our doors and shutters are beautiful and the house looks better than ever...and the transformation only took four days! We are very happy with the job Painting & Moore did for us and will definitely hire them again!

Steve came out to do our estimate about a month before we scheduled Painting and Moore to paint the exterior of our home. He was nice and personable. His estimate was very accurate considering all the woodworking that we needed to have done. Much of the house was built with masonite and had to be replaced with hearty plank. That definitely added to our price tag, but Painting and Moore was very competitive and I felt like they would do the best job. Christian and his crew did a great job! There were many tasks already and they were willing to do it all. They worked with as much daylight as they could, starting at 9AM and working until after 6PM. They were even willing to hang some screen for me that I couldn't get to on our 2nd floor because it was so high. By the end of the job, I believe they had replaced around 50 boards on the house. I appreciate all their hard work and effort.

Overall experience was very good. They were prompt, neat and did good work and courteous. I don’t have any problems with them. That’s probably all they did to know.

Painting and Moore did a terrific job. They were very professional from start to finish. Steve prepared a thorough, written quote and answered all my questions. Jonathan, the crew chief, was friendly and helpful at all times. He pressure washed the house on the first day. The next day, the carpenters and the rest of the team worked diligently on all the prep work including siding and wood replacement. During prep work, the owner of the company, Jon Moore, came to the house to see how things were progressing. After the prep was done, they began painting. When it became clear they could not purchase the columns (they are wider than most sold today), they asked what we wanted to do, and the decision was made to custom order. Jonathan consulted us on door and shutter colors before buying the paint and matched all colors beautifully. They called every day, to say when they would arrive, and they cleaned up each day before going home. Painting and Moore clearly places a high value on communicating with their customers every step of the way. They made certain we were completely satisfied before asking for payment. The house looks great!

This was a great experience. I received a call back from Greg Stanley the day I requested an estimate. He came to my house the following day and I had an estimate and a tentative project start date by the time he left. He did not ask for any money up front, or any written confirmation of my intent to hire them. These ceiling are bead board, so it was important to me that they be painted as quickly as possible to avoid potential moisture damage. Greg's crew was out the following week and completed the job in one day. They left everything as they found it, as if they had never been there. I was most impressed with Greg's customer service, professionalism, and responsiveness. I would recommend him without hesitation, and he is on my speed dial for future painting needs.

Steve was very professional and easy to work with from the estimate to the end of the job. He followed up with the progress of the job daily and was very concerned about making sure that we were happy. The guys doing the painting were very nice and did all the little extras that we asked for with no problem. They do not nickel and dime you along the way even when you ask them to do a few extra things after the project starts. Highly recommend these painters.

We had hired another company that wasn’t on Angie’s List. We had to fire them because they painted over our rotten wood. I called these people and told them our situation. They came out the next day and gave me a quote. They started working within a few days. They were very consistent. I have referred them to my neighbors. They were very good and very responsible. They did a really good job. They found a lot of things that the other company had not done properly; they had to go back and redo a lot of their work. They were very reasonable and they gave me the 25% Angie’s List discount. I would highly recommend them. I am going to have them come back and do my interior.

Was having problems where the paint on the front porch floor kept peeling up from water penetration, etc. Had 2 other painters try unsuccessfully to tackle the project. Went with Painting & Moore based on the reviews here. They were a breeze to deal with, the price was good, the porch looks great and 4+ months in and no sign of peeling. Definitely will use them again for other projects.

All of the work was done in a very professional way. It ended up that several rooms needed another coat of paint because of the condition of the walls. Ben held to the original estimate and I know it ran way over. Great team that stands behind their work which is hard to find these days.

I have had Painting and Moore paint my prior house, so had already experienced Jon and his commitment to his customers. Both experiences were extremely positive. He came within a day or two with a very reasonable estimate, given the size of the job, committed to having the job done before the holidays, when we were having company, walked me through all the details of what they recommended doing, and committed to resolving anything else they found during the job without any additional charge. Painting and Moore provide a 5 year guarantee on their work, and I have known from past experience that Jon and his team stand behind their work and would promptly correct small oversight. The crew arrived on schedule and quietly and diligently worked over two weeks to finish the main house and guest house before the Thanksgiving holiday. They started by cleaning the gutters, pressure washing the entire house, guest house and pump house, repaired quite a bit more wood rot than had been anticipated, including some rotten frames of our storm windows. We had up to eight people working at times as well as over the weekend so that the job could be finished in time. I was surprised at how many people were working at times because you would barely notice they were there. The crew was very courteous, quiet, extremely neat, and professional. Each day upon finishing, the job site was cleaned up and ladders stored away. The job was completed on-time and we were thrilled at home beautiful it looked after being restored and repainted. I did a full walk-around with Jon after the team had finished and, though everything looked great to me, he pointed out a few details that he was not satisfied with and made sure it was completed before his team left on the final day. Jon has a Class A crew and they do top notch work for a very fair price!

Painting & Moore did an excellent job. The quote process was easy and very efficient. Price quoted = price paid. The painting crew was excellent. Very efficient team and the crew leader was very knowledgeable. It is amazing watching professionals complete the work versus someone who paints once every couple of years (like myself). Very pleased w/ all the work which was done including the large amount of wood rot thay was identifies and fixed. I highly recommend the company.

I had used Painting & Moore previously and was very satisfied. This job involved replacing rotten wood on dormers and then painting and priming all dormers. The craftsmanship on the wood replacement was excellent. The painting over the new wood was just as good. Steve Stephens is easy to work with and excels at customer service. Will always use for future painting needs.

I received three different estimates for my interior paint job. Painting and Moore was the middle estimate. I choose Painting and Moore because I had used them a couple of years ago for my exterior painting needs and Jon's crew did a great job. I felt real comfortable using them again. Jon is very professional, provided me an estimate within a few minutes after evaluating my house and speaking with me and I paid exactly what he proposed. He had a crew of 4-5 and the same guys showed up every day when they said they would, prepped all the walls, patched and sanded out any imperfections in the walls, removed wallpaper from the dining room and powder room. The wallpaper came off very easily in the dining room, but the wallpaper in the powder room was much more difficult. There was another layer of wallpaper under the first and it was difficult to remove. Alex and the other painters worked a long time to make that little powder room look good. The crew did a great job painting the rest of the house, cleaned up every day before leaving and were polite and friendly. Jon came by every day to make sure things were going as planned and to make sure I was happy with the work. The crew was finished in three days. Jon offered me a special deal to power wash the exterior for an additional $100 since his company painted the exterior a couple of years ago. He recommended the optional power wash to help preserve the paint. They also touched up some spots on the exterior with paint. I was very pleased with the results and will definitely call Jon again when more painting is needed.

My wife and I would unconditionally endorse this company. In fact, we would use them again for interior jobs, too. The quality of the painting is superb: No small smears or overlaps exist anywhere that we can see. Each member of the crew was polite and worked as quietly as possible. A supervisor came to oversee the work on each of the four days. The head of the crew (Arturo) stopped to answer questions whenever we had them. We have a yard full of plants, some of which are close to the building. Rather than asking us to cut them back, the crew tied down our ligustrum so they could paint behind it, worked around a bunch of small mountain laurels in front of our porch and even worked around a firewood rack on the porch, so we didn't have to unload it. They preferred that one of us be present in case they found emergency repairs that needed doing, but that never happened; nobody seemed to be trying to earn an extra nickel. The work was detailed and thorough -- our windows are a lot cleaner outside than they have been in a long time -- and the cleanup removed all debris. One note: Our wooden windows open from both the top and the bottom, so they had to do extra work to paint those carefully. No one from the company received any money until the job was complete, and my wife and I had walked around the property. in fact, because the crew finished late on the afternoon before Thanksgiving Day, the supervisor asked us to look the house over at our leisure during the long weekend and bring him any concerns the following Monday. We had none at all and paid him then.
