Description of Work: They moved our belongings from Matthews to Davidson. Everything went smoothly, except for a small ding in the drywall we didn't notice until after they were gone. The movers were fantastic, the office personnel were average, hence the b rating.

Description of Work: I used them for a local move...they had to make stops at two different storage units. Two trucks and four men. They worked fast and were extremely patient with our son who wanted to "help". One of the men was new and had to be coached on how to wrap the furniture, etc. They were very flexible with us and our situation. Most of the men worked very quickly...in some cases, maybe a little too fast. I would use them again.

Description of Work: Matthews moved me from Fountain Hills, AZ to Charlotte, NC. Theycaused damage to the master bedroom suite, an Amish made bench, completely destroyed an antique bedroom suite from 1898 (it actually had broken bhead and foot boards) another antique bedroom suite was so damaged I had to have it repaired. Matthews sent a so called furniture repair person who spent 8 hours reparing the furniture and left with it just as bad as when he arrived. Very, very poor company. Would never use again. I have moved 15 times, mostly across country and have not had total damages as was done by Matthews on one move.

After [member name removed] stated he was unhappy with the initial repairs, we turned his claim over to our insurance company for them to handle. [member name removed] refused inspection of his property and therefore our insurance company closed his claim. [member name removed] has not contacted our insurance company or our company since 5/29/2012 and now he is posting this negative review. He threatened our insurance company adjuster with, "You'll be hearing from my lawyer". Matthews Moving Systems strives to satisfy our customers and we are very apologetic that [member name removed] is unhappy with his move.

Description of Work: Matthews moving did a great job moving a entire tractor trailer worth of items from our old house in Charlotte to across town in Matthews. They even held the contents on the truck for one week at a very low price! We would highly recommend them for a large move.

Description of Work: Matthews Moving moved my daughter to her apt. in Manhatten. I could not imagine and easier move. They performed promptly and with professionalesm. Even when they carried a sofa up to a fifth floor walk-up that they told my daughter wouldn.t fit. They acted with professionalism and brought it back to Charlotte. I highly reccomend them for any move.

Description of Work: Would use again in a heartbeat. Came out gave a professional estimate. Movers were nice and funny easy to get along with. Very acomidating to make sure at the end of the day everything we wanted from point a to point b got there. Movers hustled brought 2 trucks

MOVING SERVICES WERE PROVIDED TO ANGIES LIST MEMBER. CHECK STOP PAYMENT ISSUED WITHOUT NOTICE. MEMBER SAID, DECIDED TO USE A CREDIT CARD INSTEAD. WE DIDNT RECEIVE PAYMENT UNTIL WEEKS LATER. CLAIM FORM REQUESTED. ADJUSTER PERFORMED INSPECTION. SOME PRE-EXISTING DAMAGE DISALLOWED. REMAINING ITEMS, INCLUDING ADDITIONAL ITEM, REPAIRED OR CASH SETTLEMENT OFFERED. MEMBER THEN FILED COMPLAINT WITH BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. WE RESPONDED WITH SAME OFFER, WHICH MEMBER ACCEPTED. WE AGREED TO ISSUE CHECK PRIOR TO EXERCISING SALVAGE RIGHTS TO ACCOMMODATE NEW MATTRESS PURCHASE BEFORE PICKUP OF DAMAGED ONE. MEMBER AGREED, STATING THEY WOULD PURCHASE NEW MATTRESS, YET MEMBER HASNT ALLOWED OLD MATTRESS PICKUP.
