About us

Jim Dickerson Company, Plumbing, Electrical, Heating & Air is a family owned and operated company serving the Charlotte and surrounding areas. Jim, a Charlotte native, learned the plumbing trade from his father-in-law, Chester H. Creed, and worked with him for many years before starting his own company. Jim, along with his wife Judy, formed Jim Dickerson Plumbing in 1977. What began as a one truck operation has grown steadily over the years, and today we have a fleet of over 20 service vans. In 2005, we moved to our current 11,000 square foot location. This facility includes a 7,000 square foot warehouse that allows us to stock many commonly used parts, water heaters, and fixtures which helps us in providing prompt service. Jim's daughters, Debbie and Angie, decided after college to join the company and they currently manage the day-to-day operations of the office, including Customer Service, Sales and Marketing, and Accounting. Job well done!
Description of Work: The flushing mechanism in the water bowl needed to be exchanged. Unfortunately my husband or another previous plumber had removed a specific part needed to make the system work efficiently!. Ron worked tirelessly on the old 1972 toilet and replaced the ballcock and supply line. He worked really hard to ensure there was no dripping sound from the supply line. What should have been an easy job, did not go as smoothly as we both would have liked. Ron was polite and apologetic and charged me an agreeable amount. Once again this company is great to work with.

Terrible. Will never use again!
Description of Work: Our drain was clogged on a Saturday so we called them to come out, which they did, but charged an over charge for Saturday service. The drain was only partially fixed so I called again the following Monday morning at 8 am and at 1 pm but the lady who answered the phone never sent my order, so no one came out. When I called again for the third time that day she just said, "sorry, I forgot to send your order." That was it. I expected her to send someone out anyway, but she said no one was available and I would have to wait until tomorrow. So now I'm waiting on 3 days.

THIS WAS A HUGE MISTAKE ON OUR PART. SHE DID CALL AND OUR DISPATCHER NEVER GOT THE WORK ORDER. WE WERE SCHEDULED TO GO BACK OUT THAT AFTERNOON, BUT WHEN OUT TECHICAN CALLED HER TO SAY HE WAS ON THE WAY, SHE TOLD US THAT SHE WAS GOING TO GET SOMEONE ELSE TO TAKE CARE OF HER PROBLEM. IF SHE STILL NEEDS US TO COME BACK OUT WE WILL BE GLAD TO. WE ARE SORRY FOR THIS INCONVIENCE AND HOPE WE CAN GET THIS SOLVED ASAP.
