Description of Work: While having my bathroom retiled, the technician discovered the flange for the toilet was broken. I immediately consulted Angie's List and picked an "A" rated company. Within an hour, the plumber was at my home and repaired the problem. He explained the options and let me choose the way to fix it.

Description of Work: Most excellent Plumber was early, had necessary equipment, did what was necessary. Price was as quoted. I would call again.

Description of Work: Tiolet was backed up. Jason was here 3 hours the day before and tried to unclog it. It appears it was a defect in the toilet and we had to purchase a new toilet. Jason guarenteed that it would solve our problem and it did. A great company and Jason was super. He answered all my questions.

Problem was I was told I would be charged $40 to pay them with a debit card, AFTER they had finished the job (which was replacing a water heater, cost $1,500). I had to argue with their payment person in order to have the $40 fee waived. Job well done, customer service not so good.

Description of Work: We called Jim Dickerson Plumbing & Electrical to address a few home inspection issues. The person I spoke with at the main office was friendly and helpful, and was able to arrange for both an electrician and a plumber to come out within a few hours. As it turned out, none of the issues were particularly difficult to resolve, but both individuals fixed the problems quickly and were very professional. As noted by others, they aren't the cheapest, but they were responsive, professional and effective.

Description of Work: Jim Dickerson Plumbing & Electrical has provided service to us on four occasions; they performed plumbing repairs on my water heater, tub and toilet as well as electrical repairs. All staff have been competent, professional and helpful. Getting a service appointment is simple and quick. I like that the performers call ahead 30 minutes in advance of arrival which allows you to run local errands in your time window. I will use this firm again for any plumbing or electrical work.

Description of Work: Another plumbing company had installed the basement sump pump (pumping basement sewage to street above), in fall of 2007 but had been back for a service call (fall of 2009) that cost $600. When in spring of 2010 same thing occurred I called Jim Dickerson and told him the problem. He said he would send someone that day and would cost me less than $300. He sent someone and the final bill was about $200. Then several weeks later the alarm went off again on the pump, indicating it was again stuck. I called Jim Dickerson again and he said they would get it right at only a service call price. They returned and again fixed the pump this time charging only for the service call.. about $ 65. They indicated that the original installation was poorly done and we might have to replace the whole pump in the future, but for now they would service this one. I also had a stuck drain and they came and cleaned it out... also for minimal charge. Their service has been beyond what I expected and their prices are reasonable and explain all the costs involved.

Description of Work: We have a natural gas water heater - 40 gallon Whirlpool manuf 2008. We have been having problems where the system goes off after re-lightening it. We contacted Whirlpool since the unit was still on the 9 year warranty. Whirlpool acknowledged that this year, model hasbeen having issues and they dispatched a new thermocouple overnighted to us and gave us the contact information for the authorized plumber. Whirlpool authorized the installation. Jim Dickerson's tech man, Dave was at our home at 0800 as scheduled and he replaced the part. He answered all my questions and showed me step by step how he was going to replace the old defective part with the new. He showed me how to re-light the unit. Dave was one of the best techs that has performed repairs at our home and will be considered in the future for any other repairs.

Description of Work: Mr. Rivera (I think that was his name) was so very professional and personable. I thought I had a leaky pipe in the wall. He spent a good amount of time "listening" and advised me that he thought it was just the pipes expanding. He was right. While he was here, he clean out some drains and fixed a sink's trap that wouldn't drain. Most of all he was so generous with his know-how and I learned a lot. Thanks

Description of Work: Cleared a partially blocked toilet that was not flushing properly - I called in the morning and they were at my home before noon. The repair was completed quickly and efficiently.

Description of Work: Company came out for an estimate to install a tankless water system. The estimator did not seem concerned about offering solutions to retrofit the system other than placing the new tankless system in the same spot as the conventional hot water heater. He promised an estimate with a couple of days and never got back with me at all. I was not about to chase him.
