No blockage found inside the house - scoping of inside lines showed clean pipes; old style T connections prevented scope from exiting house. Installed clean-out at edge of property and scoped lines back to the house - no blockage found. City of Charlotte later determined blockage was in their lines (using my expensive clean-out) and replaced bad connection. |Total cost of Dickerson's work averaged over $300.00/hr which seems high but I have heard all plumbers are expensive. I had used Jim Dickerson Plumbing on prior jobs and would use them again.

Description of Work: We had a leak that we thought was coming from an upstairs shower. The gentleman from Jim Dickerson Plumbing did a very thorough inspection, beginning by doing a test on the shower pan (blocking the drain and filling the pan with many gallons of water). When that showed no shower pan leak, he continued his inspection of our home until he found the culprit: a leak in the boot surrounding one of our roof vents. In other words, he did not stop at determining we didn't have a plumbing problem, but persisted until he could diagnose the problem. He also was extremely pleasant!

Description of Work: The original price to replace an AC valve was $800. After much adieu, a story too long to tell, we returned this valve to them and settled on $350 for their time and trouble. We had another company come to replaced the valve PLUS the very badly corroded coil they said nothing about. Your "call is being recorded" so they can argue with you in the "he said - she said" fashion, not to be sure the customer is being treated right.

Description of Work: Jim Dickerson replaced my water heater. They gave me a quote over the phone for the equivalent of my old one and also told me the measurements so I could be sure it would fit. I chose them even though their price was about 10% higher than another estimate I received because in past jobs for me they have been very professional, competent, and careful, all of which they were this time as well.
