Description of Work: I purchased an Angie's List deal for Handyman Wizard -- I needed four overhead lights replaced. Despite many attempts, flexibility and patience, the handyman would never make an appointment. Then I was told that they lost the worker who could do the work. So I asked Angie's List for help and was told that I couldn't get a refund. So I waited a couple of months until they had someone who could replace the lights, only then they wouldn't honor the deal. So, I've already paid for the work and Handyman Wizard won't do it for the price I paid and Angie's List won't refund my money.

Description of Work: Asked them to install 7-8 dimmers throughout the house. All was fine until one guy trimmed a wire too short. Told me he had the materials to fix it at his shop and would be back to fix. The next visit was by two totally different guys (neither of which was a licensed electrician, as I had been told). This pair managed to completely short the electricity in three rooms of my house, then left without resolution. Owner told me it was faulty wiring when house was built and refused to fix (his "compromise" was to have an electrician of his choice come and see whose fault it was - I agreed to this yet he never showed up). I had a professional, licensed electrician come and fix in 20 mins. Handyman Wizard showed a complete lack of professionalism - never admitted to not knowing how to complete the job or fix their mistake, but instead became belligerent and accusatory.

Description of Work: I needed two light fixtures installed, they showed up on time, ready to work and did a great job. I would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: They pressure washed the house and it looks great. My problem was having them show up when scheduled. The work was first scheduled for 7/16. Got a call that morning that they needed to reschedule for 7/18, got a call that morning to reschedule for 7/20 or 7/21. No one called or showed up. Finally on 7/30 they came and did half of the job, returned the next evening and did some more, said they would be back the next day, they had another problem that day. They did show and complete the work on 8/2. Too many delays and rescheduling. Pressure washing a house should not need three visits.

Description of Work: Absolutely nothing! I purchased a daily special to have them pressure wash my house.They contacted me like they were suppose to , then it went down hill from there.They were to do the job on Mon. But had a truck problem,but would come on Tues. they didn't show up & didn't contact me, I called them. Whatever was broke still was , so they were to come on Thursday. And didn't!!! I got a call on Fri.saying they thought they could be here the next Mon. Got a call Sun that they would be here on Mon. at 10:00. They called at 9:45 to say something else was broke but they were fixing it & would be at the house by 12:00 they never showed up & they never called! Don't waste your time or money on this one! NOT DEPENDABLE !!!!

Description of Work: Handyman Wizard did not perform the service paid for in the time frame agreed upon. They requested that I supply them with three dates to perform the service on, then called and asked that I allow them to come on a day that I had not requested, due to weather issues and equipment problems. In agreeing to have them come on the day that would work for them, I changed my schedule for that day, and they did not show up at the agreed time and did not call to inform me, I had to call them to find out where they were. We agreed upon another day after that and they did not show up for that day either.

Description of Work: I scheduled to have 2 ceiling fans installed. I had to reschedule due to one of the ceiling fans missing parts in the box. Handyman Services called back and said the person with "electrical knowledge" is no longer with the company and to contact Angies List for a full refund.

Description of Work: They were scheduled to pressure wash our property on Monday June 8th and never showed up, even though they collected payment in advance. The siding they were supposed to wash was untouched and ( I have the photos to show proof) Since the payment was already made from buying the "deal" I am owed a full refund immediately! I have tried to contact them directly, but the mailbox is full and you cannot leave a message.

Description of Work: I spoke with Shawn initially because I knew my house was larger than 2000 sq ft and asked if that was heated footage or and exterior measurement. He told me it was an exterior measurement and would need to see the house to determine how much over it would be. I was fine with that. A couple of hours before the appointed time he called to tell me the extra cost would be $269. bringing my total to almost $400. I told him it was too much and to cancel. I have since found someone else to do the work and would like a refund.

Description of Work: The work that we started with them turned into a multiple project that was GREATLY NEEDED. We could only see the "tip of the iceberg." They do EXCELLENT work; they are personable, efficient, honest, VERY CAPABLE, and reasonable cost so I not only will use them again for other work but have already recommend them to friends and neighbors. I would recommend them to anyone in the Charlotte, NC, area. They will have before and after pictures of what they did for us on their website for others to make their own judgment before contacting them.

Description of Work: The contractor never showed. I purchased the special from Angie's List on a Wednesday and the contractor called that afternoon, making a next day appointment. Next day, Thursday, contractor called an hour before appointment time stating he had vehicle troubles but would make the service call the very next day at the same time. The next day, Friday, 2015, I wait and called repeatedly no answer) and finally contacted Angie's List, who also had problems contacting the contractor. Angie's list provide a refund. He sounded like a nice person on the phone and had the service been acceptable I would have given him a lot of additional work but his initial customer service impression was a bust.
