On their web site, I gave a detailed explanation of the situation and what I needed. I provided my contact info. The next morning I called the office and left a detailed voice mail on the problem and mentioned that I had also submitted an online request for service as well. Going on 4 days later now - still have not heard a word back from the company. Not very good customer service in my opinion. I have moved on to another provider who is more responsive.

Not a good experience please do not use these people.
Description of Work: They did water midigaiton for a leak in my laundry room that required dry wall repair, floor replacement and crawl space insulation replacement. They were great in in makeing estimation and identifying work that needed to be completed. The removal and drying process was not that bad except for missed appointments to remove equipment. If you say you will be there on Wed. before noon please be there on Wed before noon not Friday sometime! The repair was a different story. I had to ask multiple times for repair cost estimates and they had to come back twice to fix things that were not completed correctly the first or second time. Then they took my extra plywood(yes stole wood from my grarge) and when I asked to have it returned they only rebated me $5. I use the plywood for outdoor table and now it is gone. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!

When I called they said would handle everything such that I wouldn't know a problem ever existed. This was an understatement. I was floored by their responsiveness, honesty, professionalism and support. They literally took care of EVERYTHING. When you have a flood with about 25k in damages, it is huge headache. These folks made it feel like a blip on the radar screen. I would use them again in a heartbeat (just hoping I won't need them again!).

GPR was referred to us by All about the Pipes (good thing too!). The experience began with John Foggo's diagnosis of an odor from a master bath area sink and its likely causes. He was the type of knowledgeable that only comes from experience. His assessments were accurate and even his hunches all turned out correct. He was very thorough in both assessing and communicating, spending probably over an hour explaining possibilities and options. He checked another area of our house (no problems there!) just in case. He obviously listened to our concern with the possibility that there might be too sources of moisture because when the vanity and sink was pulled, the crew remembered to include a check of the tub area that was on the other side of the wall. They took a small part from the smartest part of the dry wall away to be certain there was only one source of water leakage. Workers left the place clean and tidy. The AATP plumbing fixed our leak. GPR returned and fixed the dry wall. In addition to John, I must have interacted with at least 5 other employees. All were very professional and committeed to doing a good job and answering all questions we may have had. The job looks good (just waiting on the new vanity) and we are very happy they did the work. Always tough to grade an A on price for jobs of this size, but the estimate was good and Angie's list discount made the high quality work for the price seem reasonable.

Overall experience- extremely disappointing...
Description of Work: Despite an initial positive experience with Greenpoint Restoration, they ultimately failed to produce. Both John and Mac seemed very knowledgeable and professional in their visit to our home to assess water damage, but then left us hanging for aobut two weeks before returning any of our phone calls. It was our intent to contract with Greenpoint, but after two weeks of leaving messages, were we then told that their schedule was too full to allow them to commit to our job. We found this lack of timely follow-up to be extremely unprofessional in contrast to our original impression of the company. It would have been preferable if they simply told us at the time of their visit that they were not interested in committing to our job. As a result, we lost two weeks worth of momentum on the project, and have to start our search process again from the very beginning.

The remediation was fine. However, he was supposed to put the bathroom back together and he just disappeared after I had paid him. I now have to manage to put it back together myself.
Description of Work: They did a mold and water remediation. He sent 3 guys to do the work. He gave me a bill for everything they did that day at $60/hr. for the 6 hours they were there. I felt like he had double charged me for the work.

We removed some old linoleum in our home and noticed a strong mildew odor. It appeared there had been leak in the room some time ago. The sub-floor had some black areas. Before we covered it up with a new floor, we wanted to be sure we removed all traces of mold. Greenpoint checked the area for moisture and did not find any and he felt that the black areas were not mold. He gave me some steps to clean and then lay down the new floor. We were not charged for this visit. They were responsive, arrived at our home within 24 hours of first contact, and arrived at scheduled appointment time. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again for assistance.

Greenpoint Restoration quickly responded to my call and arrived a short time later that morning to assess water damage in a bathroom. They found the source of the leak, removed the toilet, flooring, a vanity, treated the area and set up equipment to dry the space. John and Mac were very courteous and knowledgable in explaining to me each step that needed to be taken. Although insurance did not cover the damage, they were very patient working with me and answering my many questions and concerns! I was introduced to Albert who would oversee the repairs. He was extremely helpful throughout the process and kept my anxiety low with his calmness and reassurance!! Since I was replacing the bath vinyl with tile, I also had them tile a small area by the front door and in the kitchen of my town-home. Over the period of the repairs, Albert always came in with and introduced me to the men responsible for their specific line of work. Everyone was so courteous and professional that I always felt comfortable having them in my home. And the result of their work is wonderful! My "new" bathroom looks beautiful and I am so enjoying the other tiled areas! Throughout this process, John, Mac, and Albert always returned my calls quickly and showed up at my home at the arranged time or in the rare case something came up, they called me ahead of time and rescheduled so I would not have to be at home waiting for them. I so apprecaite the personable and professional service they extended to me. I definitely recommend Greenpoint Restoration to anyone seeking courteous and professional work well done.
Description of Work: Determining source of a leak in my bathroom. Toilet, flooring, and vanity removed and area treated and dried. Repair work included installing tile on the floor, repairing drywall, painting, installing vanity, faucets, and mirrors, reconnecting water source, resetting toilet, painting & installing baseboards/trimwork. In addition to the bath repairs, I had vinyl removed and replaced with tile on floor in small area by front door and in kitchen.

Everyone with Greenpoint showed concern for us as a customer and helped us through each stage of the restoration and repair. They demonstrated good customer service practices.
Description of Work: We had used Greenpoint Restoration a few months ago at the recommendation of our plumber when a pipe leaked at our house. Unfortunately, not long after getting our house back in order, our washing machine malfunctioned and overflowed into our den. We called Greenpoint the next morning and John and Mack came out to help us again. Their general contractor for repairs, Albert, came and completed the restoration. All involved were very professional and thorough. We recommend them for any type of problem involving water damage.

They were able to dry out the flooded area and they responded so quickly that they were able to get the water up and save the hardwood in my office from getting water damaged. We were able to prevent any damage to the floor as well as avoid mold or mildew (which would have resulted from the standing water had it not been properly handled. No repairs were necessary as a result of their quick response. They also put all of the items on my garage floor up on bricks, so if it happened again those items would be safe.
After experiencing a water leak in the upstairs master bath it was necessary to do demolition of dressing area of bath and an area in downstairs kitchen. Green Point Restoration was called in to do the work. they arrived early on a Saturday morning to do the removal of walls, appliances, etc. necessary to find the leak and do repair. We then went through the "dry out" process for about 3-4 days. After that the restoration began. John Fotto, Mack White, Albert (sub-contractor) and everyone involved were very professional in their work, punctual in their arrival, and upfront in all of costs estimates and time that we should expect completion. They made the situation as easy and painless as possible for us as a family. Awesome team of individuals to work with and would recommend them highly for work of this nature.
Description of Work: Pinpoint a leak in upstairs master bath which also included the tear out and restoration of kitchen/dining area on first floor. Removed appliances, Sheetrock and flooring in order for dryout to occur. Once dry out process was complete restored area to original state to include new master bath vanities, dry wall and paint in kitchen as well as new floor coverings.

We came home from Christmas to find the cieling in the downstairs bathroom collapsed. The plumber we called out the next day (All About the Pipes) determined it was caused by a leak from the wax seal on the toilet above. They recommended Greenpoint to be the ones to come out to handle the cleanup. Mac from Greenpoint was there within a couple of hours to check out the situation. They needed to cut out the floor around the upstairs toilet, take down the ceiling, walls, insulation and tiles downstairs. Then they needed to treat everything for mold and (since it was a toilet) bacteria. That was Phase 1. Phase 2 was the rebuild. This was lead by John and Albert (their GC). We were impressed with the quality of their work and both the speed and punctuality. As anyone who has ever done this kind of work knows, too often they say they will be there in the morning and show up after noon. When they said they would be there at 9am, you could count on the doorbell ringing at 9am. The quality of work was excellent and consisted of repairing the floor, retiling and repainting the upstairs and the same plus rebuilding the walls and cieling downstairs. Not only would I recommend them for restoration work like this, but I'd be happy to recommend them for general contracting as well (which I understand they do on occasion).

From the first phone call, I was impressed with John’s knowledge. I had met with two other water damage companies and liked both of them but I chose John based on his in-depth knowledge of mold and air quality. I had a difficult case on my hands and he walked in and was very honest with me about what kind of tough decisions lay ahead for my particular situation. As mentioned above, I did not know if insurance reimbursement was going to be a possibility so my goal was to contain the situation as quickly as possible to get the mold removed from the house and figure out how to rebuild the interior at a later date. John went above and beyond on several occasions speaking with me at length on how to do things myself once he had completed his portion – things that were somewhat labor intensive but could be done rather inexpensively on my end in order to save money. I could tell that he was truly concerned about getting the house cleaned up and back to a healthy state even though I only had money to pay him for his initial service. So, in the end, it has been a tremendous amount of work for me but his tips and strategies for cleaning the remaining area of the house has been vital. His knowledge of mold, mildew, air quality and all things water damage related is unrivaled. If you want someone on your team that knows down to the science how to properly contain and remove all the hazards that come with water and mold, look no further – John is absolutely your guy. His entire team was very friendly and knowledgeable. His fee for the service performed was in the same area as the other two quotes I had received but his knowledge put him over the top with me.
Description of Work: Water damage removal. Due to this case being questionable for insurance reimbursement, I chose to have Greenpoint address only the most urgent of concerns which were to remove water damaged cabinets, flooring, and drywall and to thoroughly remove remaining moisture from the affected area using specialized dehumidifiers. This service also included spraying of anti-mold chemicals to kill off any mold which was possibly left behind on surfaces that were to remain inside the house (studs, joists).

We had an issue with leaking due to improper flashing on a roof line that occured over a period of years. John was responsive to our call and was very professional and knowledgable in his advice. He also was helpful in dealing with the insurance company. We would have liked to use him for the permanent repairs but his quote was not the lowest. I would definitely recommend him if you had serious mold issues.

Everything went very well. The owner and all of his employees were attentive, punctual and clear about what needed to be done. As this was an unplanned repair it was especially nice to have people around who understood the stress involved in this situation. The area looks great and one would never know there had been a problem. I would be happy to work with them again, except that it might be preceded by another emergency!
Description of Work: After a pipe burst covering our main floor finished laundry room, hall and basement with nasty water and a collapsed ceiling, Greenpoint Restoration began cleanup and remediation in conjunction with the plumbing company. This involved significant removal of water and debris, repair and replacement of a joist, ceiling, molding, replacement of lighting fixtures and painting of two rooms. There was other miscellaneous cleaning in other parts of the house leading to and from the area that was damaged.

The team at Greenpoint is absolutely fantastic. From the first phone call, the team was courteous and professional. When they came to our house to assess the work, their professionalism was even more apparent. I was so comfortable with them, that I gave them a key to my home to complete the job without me having to come home from work. They completed everything in a timely manner and at a reasonable price. The baseboards look great, and the mold removal and drywall repair was fantastic. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

My problem began with a pipe leaking into my crawlspace. We called All About the Pipes to fix that problem and they recommended we call Greenpoint Restoration to clean and dry the crawlspace and subfloor. The owner of Greenpoint, John Foggo, came out that afternoon and got under the house. He showed us pictures of the moisture levels in the crawlspace and explained why we needed to dry it out and have a vapor barrier installed once it was dry. They did the work that Friday and had one of their workers come by to check everything over the weekend. I figured they would be a quality company since All About the Pipes recommeneded them and that was the case. Greenpoint is a licensed general contrator so since this work I have had them make repairs to a 2nd home I own and have been very pleased each time.
Description of Work: Greenpoint dried out our subfloor, crawlspace, installed a vapor barrier and cleaned mold from the crawlspace and subfloor.
